The Solemnity of Pentecost marks the gift of the Holy Spirit

to those God the Father calls to be His own. Perhaps you

can think of someone who longs for a relationship with our

Heavenly Father. Plant the seeds of hope, by inviting that

person to RCIA. For more information, please contact Greg

Donaldson at [email protected] or 225-6774, ext. 284.

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is a journey

to conversion. This is the process by which those never

baptized or those baptized in another Christian tradition be-

come members of the church.

Our next session will be held January 23, 2019 at 7pm in

The Family Life Center. The topic will be “The Com-

mandments 4-5” presented by Fr Whittington. For more

information please contact Patty Martin 501-772-5192 or

[email protected] or visit our website at

www.church.ctklr.org.

Our goal is to help those who are grieving and mourning realize they are not alone. Emphasis is placed on spiritual, physical, and emotional aspects of grieving and mourning. A secure and safe environment is provided as participants express their grief, listen to others’ experiences, learn about grief and mourning, and remember their loved ones. Due to the nature of our sup-port group, participants are expected to maintain the confidenti-ality of our discussions.

Let us be companions on your journey. Contact Lauretta Koenigseder at (501) 350-9455 if you have questions.

Parishes in Van Buren, Fort Smith, Russellville, Conway, Jonesboro and Mena will present the teaching and exposition of sacred relics in January. Father Carlos Martins of the Companions of the Cross will display a very special Vatican collection of more than 150 relics, some as old as 2,000 years. Among the treasures will be relics of St. Maria Goretti, St. Therese of Lisieux (the “Little Flower"), St. Francis of Assisi, St. Anthony of Padua, St. Thomas Aquinas and St. Faustina Kowalska. In addition, there will also be present a portion of the veil of Our Lady, as well as one of the largest remaining pieces of the True Cross in the world. Those in attendance will be able to examine and venerate each relic. In the Church’s history, many mira-cles and healings have been worked in the presence of relics, and many have been healed through this ministry. Please do not miss this opportunity. You are encouraged to bring your articles of devotion (such as rosaries, holy cards, etc.) and pic-tures of ill friends/family members, which you will be able to touch to the reliquaries as a means of intercession.
