ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENTIN DELHI PRISONS DEPARTMENT (POST CODE-38/13)

1. The DSSSB vide its advertisement No. 02/2013 with closing date02.08.2013, had advertised 35 vacancies (UR-19, OBC-09, SC-05, ST-02; out ofwhich 04 vacancies were reserved for EXSM) for the post of AssistantSuperintendent in Delhi Prisons Department in the pay scale of Rs. 5200-20200 having Grade pay of 2800/- (Group-C Jail cadre).

2. The Board had conducted the written examination on 09.03.2014 for thepost of Assistant Superintendent under postcode 38/13. On the basis of thewritten examination the candidates were shortlisted to appear for PET, whichwas qualifying in nature. After conducting the Physical Endurance test (PET-I&PET-II)in respect of shortlisted candidates from 16.03.2015 to 22.03.2015 andalso from 12.07.2016 to 13.07.2016, 27 candidates who qualified the PETwerenominated to the post of Assistant Superintendent under post code 38/13 videresult notice No. 342 dated 15.10.2015 and subsequent result notice No. 350dated 18.12.2015, result notice No. 367 dated 14.01.2016, result notice No. 415dated 28.07.2016 and result notice No. 511 dated 16.05.2017.

In view of the request of the user department vide letter No.F.18(314)/Estt./PHQ/CJ/2012/CD-8389/3112-14 dated 14.06.2017 and forfilling the unfilled 12 vacancies (UR-02, OBC-03, SC-05 & ST-02 including 01EXSM), including vacancies arise due to cancellation of candidature of 04candidates by user department, 131 candidates were shortlisted for appearingin PET-IIIfor the post vide notice number 533 dated 22.08.2017.

4. The PET-III was conducted on 16.02.2018 wherein 27 candidatesappeared for the test out of which only 07 candidates could qualify the PET.Theresult status of PET-IIIwas declared vide notice number 652 dated 09.05.2018.Simultaneously, 07 candidates who have qualified the PET were provisionallyshortlisted to upload e-dossiers.

5. Further 01 candidate having roll number 13001601 whose candidaturewas kept pending in EXSM Category vide result notice number 367 dated14.1.2016 was also directed to upload his documents in e-dossier.

6. Ld CATvide its interim order dated 9.2.2017 in OA No 35/2017 in thematter of Kuldeep Kadyan vs DSSSB has directed to keep one post under aspending, accordingly one post of UR category is kept as pending.

7. Ld CATorder interim order dated 9.1.2017 in OANo4312/16 in the matterof Pawan vs DSSSB has directed to keep one post under SC category as pending,accordingly one post of SC category is kept as pending.

After preliminary scrutiny of the candidature of candidates as per theprovisions of the statutory Recruitment Rules for the post in respect of theeducational qualification and the terms and conditions of the advertisement onqualifying the PET, the followingcandidates are provisionally selected to the postof Assistant Superintendent subject to satisfaction in regard to any defect ordeformity (including bow legged, knocked knees, flat feet etc.) which wouldrender candidate ineligible for recruitment as per the requirement of the RRs:

11. Candidature of candidate having roll number 13007613 has been kept aspending in SC category for obtaining the details of declaration of result ofDegree furnished by the candidate.

12. Candidature of candidate having roll number 13004118 has been kept aspending in EX/OBC category for obtaining the details of his EXSMservice.

13. Candidature of candidate having roll number 13001601 is still pendingin EX/OBC category for obtaining the requisite documents.

14. The selection of the above 04 Candidates shall be further subject to thethorough verification of the candidature of the candidate by the UserDepartment including the identity of the candidate. Further the userdepartment shall arrange for checking of defect or deformity (includingbow legged, knocked knees, flat feet etc.) of the candidates as per therequirement of the RRs, which has not been done during PET-III.

15. The candidature of the candidate is liable to be cancelled by the UserDepartment, in case candidate is found not fulfilling all the eligibilityconditions of the Recruitment Rules of the post or any other genuine reason.The decision of the User Department/appointing authority regarding theeligibilityof the candidate shall be the final and binding on the candidate.

16. The User department shall check the eligibility of the reservation benefit,if any. Further, if applicable User Department shall verify the genuineness ofthe caste certificate furnished by the candidate prior to issuing offer ofappointment to the candidates.

17. The Competent Authority of the User Department shall arrange to verifythe correctness of the information/ documents as furnished in the applicationforms vis-a-vis the original documents including the Degree. Further, theappointing authority shall verify these documents and satisfy itself about theauthenticity of documents/certificates before finally appointing the candidates.

18. Mere inclusion of the name of the candidate in the result notice does notconfer any right upon the candidate over the post unless the appointingauthority is satisfied after such inquiry as may be considered necessary thatthe candidate is suitable in all respect for appointment to the post.

19. Further on account of return of 03 dossier of UR Category having rollnumber 13007774, 13002209, 13003634 it is submitted that one post hasalready been adjusted in result notice number 511 dated 16.5.2017 forSaurabh Sharma (13003676) in UR category whose selection became excess inUR Category. Further in respect of available vacancies in UR category theselection of the following candidate who was earlier selected in OBC categoryvide result notice number 342 dated 15.10.15 is now shifted to UR category

21. Against the further returned 07 dossiers of earlier selected candidate AnilSaroha (13001241), Dinesh Kumar (13000061), Sumit (13006994), PuneetKhatri (13005184), Arvind Kumar Tomar (13000906), Rahul (13007239) ,Rabin Kumar (13007552) by Prisons Department vide their letters dated11.7.2017 and dated 13.7.2017 after cancellation of their candidature as theyhave not joined their post and the still remaining unfilled vacancies the Boardwill separately shortlist additional candidates for next phase of PET.

22. The selection of the candidates are subject to the outcome of the courtorder in the matter of Pramod Mavi Vs DSSSB in OAnumber 3290/2016.

23. While every care has been taken in preparing the result, DSSSBreserves the right to rectify errors and omissions, if any detected at anystage.

This issues with the prior approval of the Competent Authority.
