    Sling up the device using the liftinglugs.Provide 2 m slings as a minimum.

    The slings must not form an anglehigher than 60°.Cubicle gradient must not exceed 10°.

    Remove the transport hoops.Handling by lifting

    Prolonged storage

    Storage

    For prolonged storage, the device mustremain in its original packing.

     After prolonged storage, care must betaken to thoroughly clean all insulatingparts by means of a dry, clean clothprior to use.

    When stored, the equipment must

    remain in its original packing.

    It must be placed on a dry floor or

    dampinsulating material.

    Do not remove the parcelsof accessories placed in thecompartments, except for parcel No. 3

    located in the busbar compartment ofthe first and/or last cubicle as the casearises.It contains the manuals and operatingaccessories.These parcels must be opened only atthe time of installing the devices thatthey contain.

    The cubicles must be prepared inthe room where they are going to befitted.

    Unpacking the cubicles

     After unpacking, check that the features and descriptions marked on the cubiclerating plates meet the requirement given in the contractual documents.

    Equipment identifcation

    Installations instructions

     Avoid impacts and deformation.Unpack the cubicle by removing thewooden uprights and then the plasticcover.Do not remove any component fromthe cubicles.

    Installing the cubiclesin the switchboard

    Installing the cubicles on the civilengineering

     After handling, remove the lifting lugsand their screws and bolts beforecoupling the cubicles.The lugs, screws and bolts mustbe kept for subsequent handlingoperations.Repeat these steps with the nextcubicles,positioning them on either side of thecentral cubicle.

    Check conformity of civil engineering byreferring to the Civil Engineering GuideNo. 07897174.The horizontal position of the mountingrail in particular must be checked beforethe cubicles are positioned.By referring to the front side drawingand to the single-wire diagram, startinstallation with the cubicle in themiddle of the switchboard.This handling can be performed parlifting or by rolling.

    Removing the transportation

    devices from the removable part

    1: remove the 2 transport reinforcements(3 screws per reinforcement).2: fit the 4 mounting screws of the front plate

    and contact washers.Tightening torque: 8.5 Nm.3: flap locking kit.

    Operating instruction:

    To extract the removable part and close the door, refer to “Operating Instructions”,in user manual no. 07897171.

    Removing the panels

    To have access to mounting points, remove the partsopposite:

    Remove the cable compartment panel. Remove bindings from shields A(bindings positioned for transportpurposes). Remove the four shields A by pulling them.

    Remove the cable bushing plates. Remove the panels providing access tothe busbar compartment, from the rearof the cubicles.

    Open the access door to the removablepart by pulling and then rotating thehandle rightwards.

    Removing the panels

    Closing the access (MV) door:1: tight the 6 black pins A and besure that the door mounted in the trueposition.2: rotate the handle leftwards.Be carefull if you feel that you areusing extra force don’t do it, justuntight the black pins and repeat lineitem 1.3: push the handle to its housing.

    Connection tothe earthingcircuit of 

    Connection of the earth bar 

    Connect the main earth bar to theearthing circuit of the switchboard endsubstation.

    Fasten the fishplates 1 of theswitchboard main earth bar to ensurethe electrical continuity of the variousmetal frames.

    Electrical connections Screws and bolts to be used:Bolt joint for MV and LV indoorequipment.

    Class 8.8 as per Standard NF E 27 005,i.e. yield strength, Re u 627 Nm / mm2.The screws and bolts must not belubricated.

    Tightening torqueThe connections must be tightenedby means of a torque wrench,complying with the following torques:

    Application method:The force of the bolts tightened to therecommended torques is better

    distributed thanks to the use of springwashers located on the outer surfacesof the terminal pads and busbars.If disassembly is performed, replacespring washers.

    Note: all the necessary screws and boltsare supplied, except for the MV cable connection.

    Mounting the busbars

    Intermediate busbars 1: assemble the bars and connectorsand fit the fasteners

    A: connector half B: bushingC: bare or insulated barsD: hex socket screw ø 14 + washer E: cover half.

    Warning: the bars and all the contact surfaces must be clean on mounting.

    In parcel no. 2 located in the busbar compartment, you will find:

    v the busbars,v connectors and associated screwsand bolts,v insulating covers.

    Warning: the sequence of operations and tighteningsMUST be complied with.

    2: bring up the screws and nuts to thelimit stop in the order shown below, butdo not lock them in position:1-2-3-4-53: using a torque wrench, tighten the

    screws in the order recommendedabove in 2 successive runs.b 1st run to a de 25 Nm torque.b 2nd run to a final torque of  75 Nm.

    Clips 4: assemble the 2 cover halves E byexerting pressure on clips.

    End busbars

    Specific case: connectors withconnections to the busbar VTs

    A: connector half B: bushingC: bare or insulated barsD: screwed-on sleeveE: hex socket screw ø 14 + washer F: cover G: binding.

    Warning: the sequence of operations and tightenings MUST be complied with.

    Note: in this case, a sleeve D is screwed onto aconnector half.

    Remove the cover by sliding it on theVT connection bar.

     After loosening the 5 nuts, mount thebusbars as indicated previously.The sequence of operations andtightenings MUST be complied with.Position the cover by sliding it on theVT connection bar.Using bindings, fasten it in the sameway as for the end connectors.

    End 1: assemble the bars and connectorsand fit the fasteners

    2: bring up the screws and nuts to thelimitstop in the order shown below, but donotlock them in position:1-2-3-4-53: using a torque wrench, tighten thescrewsin the order recommended above in 2successive runs.

    b 1st run to a de 25 Nm torque.b 2nd run to a final torque of  75 Nm.

    Do not cut out.

    H: connection bar to VTJ: nut.

    In this case, the connection bars H tothe VTs are fastened to the connectorsby means of nut J.These connectors and their insulatingcovers are supplied already fitted inthe cubicle.

    4: fit the insulating cover F on theconnector.Lock it in position by means of twoplastic bindings G.

    Closing the busbar compartment  After mounting the busbars, check thecleanliness of the compartment.On all the cubicles, put back the busbar 

    compartment closing plates beforeconnecting MV cables.

    A: MV cable connection terminal pads.B: cable compartment bottom plate.

    Connecting the MV cables

    Note: the MV cable accessories (insulating end, lugs,screws and bolts, etc.) are not supplied.

    Remove the cable connection terminal

    pads by removing the insulatormounting screw as well as the screwsthat secure the terminal pad to thefunctional CT’s.

    In standard version, the cable connectionterminal pads are not drilled.In this case, dismantle the terminal pads.

     After drilling the terminal pads,

    start installing in the reverse order,complying with the tightening torque(see Note related to electricalconnections).

    The terminal pads are to be drilled according

    to the type of lugs selected.

    Note: before mounting the cables,check that the access panels to thebusbar compartment are mounted (refer

    to “ Mounting the busbars” Section).

    The bag containing the cable fastenersis located in parcel No. 1 located in thecable compartment.

    Mounting the cables

    1: fit angle bracket K with spacers M under plate C.

    Mounting with 1 row of cables

    4: bolt the first row of cables to theconnection terminal pads, complyingwith the recommendations provided inparagraph “fasteners and tighteningtorque”.

    5: mount precut cable bushings J onplate C.Fasten cables to bracket by means offlanges L.

    2: cut cable bushings J to the rightdiameter.3: insert the cables before their endsare made.

     All fasteners and fastening accessoriesare located in parcel No.1. For 3 020mm or deeper cubicles, an additional

    parcel contains the extra end plates.

    Provide 3 m x 2 m floor space to fit theplates.

    Preparing the panels for 2670 mm longcubicle

    2: fit the 18 M6 cage nuts.

    3: assemble the panels to one another

    by means of 9 HM6 x 16 screws +ribbed M6 conical washers.

    To mount the endplates on the cubicle,the hook must befitted as shownopposite.

    Secure the end plates bymeans of a 8.3 x 8.3 cagenut, a M6 x 16 screw anda Ø 6.2 contact washer.

    4: blanking with 8 HM6 x 16 screws+ ribbed conical M6 washers and M6nut.

    5: fit hook C by means of HM6 x 16screws + ribbed conical M6 washers.

    Secure the panels bymeans of cage nuts.

    Secure the panels

    by means of cagenuts.

    Secure the bracket on the cubicle, before installing the panels, by meansof an H M12 x 30 screw and a Ø 12 contact washer.
