    Preface

    Introduction

Welcome to one of a growing list of online labs that accompany the free Getting Started  series web-basedtraining modules. The Getting Started  series is designed to help you become more familiar with F5solutions and how they are integrated into an application delivery network to address your business needs

    and solve typical business problems.

The labs presented in this Lab Guide provide all of the instructions you need to gain some practical

hands-on experience with a BIG-IP system, and to solidify the concepts presented in the associatedGetting Started training module. A critically important part of your learning experience, these exercisesare especially effective if they can be started soon after completing the related WBT.

Please enjoy learning with these lab exercises!

This lab is intended solely for instructional purposes, and not as a test

environment. It is strictly for use by students taking the Getting Startedseries web-based training courses.

Your lab session is available for 2 hours. At the end of that time, the labenvironment will automatically shut down. To continue working, you mustcreate a new lab session. Please note that all previous configurationactivities will be lost. Most of the labs provide the ability to at least restoreyour F5 system’s configuration from a backup.
