HOW TO MAKE A CLAIM NOTICE PHASE 6 EXHUMATION & REINTERMENT OF GRAVES AT CHOA CHU KANG MUSLIM CEMETERY REINTERMENT 1. Remains will be brought to Choa Chu Kang Muslim Cemetery for reinterment once the exhumation is completed. 2. You will receive documentation from Muis on where the remains have been reinterred to (including block and plot number). 3. The remains will be reinterred into: 8 remains per plot for claimed graves 16 remains per plot for unclaimed graves You can witness the reinterment of the remains. UNCLAIMED GRAVES In cases where no family member claims for the remains of the deceased, these graves will be categorised as unclaimed graves. All details of the grave will be recorded. Unclaimed remains from the graves in Blocks 6, 7*, 8, 9, 19 & 20 will still be exhumed and reinterred at Choa Chu Kang Muslim Cemetery. Family members are invited to claim the remains of their Next-of-Kin (called the “Principal Deceased”) buried in these sections of the cemetery from 26 Sep 2017. The claim period will last for one year. Costs of the exhumation and reinterment will be borne by the Government. SUPPLEMENTARY GRAVES Family members may also claim remains of other family members buried outside Blocks 6, 7*, 8, 9, 19 & 20 who are related to the principal deceased so that the remains from the same family can be reinterred in the same or adjacent grave plots. These family members must meet the minimum burial period of 15 years as at 26 Sep 2018. Deceased in this category must be related to the principal deceased. Commencing 10 Oct 2017, you can book an appointment for registration online at www.pusara.sg and present yourself at Masjid Pusara Aman on your appointed date and time. 4. You can still walk-in and register at Masjid Pusara Aman from 8.30 am to 12 noon, Monday to Friday. However, priority for verification will be given to online bookings. Registration is closed on Sundays and Public Holidays. 5. You are given one year until 25 Sep 2018 to register. EXHUMATION 1. Muis will notify you on the date of exhumation. There is no religious requirement that special prayers (such as talkin) be performed for the exhumed remains.
