Speaker Biographies Christian Taylor (Jumps)- 2012 Olympic Gold Medalist, 2015 World Champion, and American Record holder in the triple jump, with a PR of 18.21m (59’8 ¾”) A world level competitor in the long jump, triple jump, AND the 400m, he holds PRs of 26’10 ¼” in the long jump, 45.17 for 400m, and 20.70 for 200m. Jerry Clayton (Throws / Jumps)- Head Men's Coach, University of Michigan. Coach of 16 NCAA Champions, 88 All-Americans and 33 Olympic and World Championship qualifiers. Before Michigan, Coach Clayton had a very successful career at Southwest Texas State, Florida, Auburn, and Illinois. Latif Thomas (Sprints and Relays)- Owner of "Complete Track and Field" and director of the Complete Track and Field Clinic, one of the world's largest and best summer track and field clinics. Latif has also been a very successful high school track coach in Massachusetts, coaching for over 17 years and winning 10 MIAA state titles in the relays. As an athlete Latif was a standout sprinter for the University of Connecticut. Scott Christensen (Distance)- Head boy’s cross country and track coach at Stillwater High School in Minnesota since 1981. He has led his team to 11 state titles and 1 national title in cross country. On the track he has coached 25 individual state champions in distance events, with seven coming from the 1600m. Furthermore, four of his runners have gone on to run sub four-minute miles! Scott has also spent the past 13 years as Chairman of the USATF Endurance Coaching Education Program. In 2006 he was inducted into the Minnesota Cross Country Coaches Hall of Fame. Roy Benson (Distance)- Former head cross country and track and field coach at the University of Florida. Co-founder of the world famous, “Florida Track Club”. Nike Distance Camp Director. Steve Mesler (Sports Psychology) - Olympic Gold Medalist (Bobsled), member of the USOC Board of Directors, High School national champion decathlete, All-SEC decathlete at UF. Gary England (Throws at Plus Clinic)- Current throws coach at Tulane University. Former throws coach at Kansas, Villanova, Auburn, and UCF. As an athlete, Gary was the 1977 NCAA champion in the shot put (63') and a two time Olympic Trials qualifier. Todd Henson (Pole Vault and Hurdles)- Todd is in his first year of coaching at the IMG Academy in the pole vault and hurdle events. Todd has spent the past six years as one of the coaches at the German Olympic Training Center, and has coached at the International level for many years. He was also the coach of Olympic silver medalist, Toby Stevenson (PR of 19'8" / 6m). Dr. Drew Hardyk, (Jumps) – Dr Andrew Hardyk is the former Assistant Coach and current Professor of Kinesiology at Penn State University. He has coached numerous All American and Big Ten Conference Champions in all of the jumps as well as the multi-events. He was also the US Mens Head Coach of the 2007 NACAC Championships.
