FACEBOOK IN 30 MINUTES: MONDAY

Write 7-10 post ideas to share on your group page Content Ideas: •  What is your audience talking about right now that you could

comment on? •  Are there any events coming up you should promote? Any events

that you should make an update about? •  What verse or quote is particularly meaningful to you right now? •  Have you read an article relevant to your audience that you could

link to? •  What discussion question would get your followers commenting? •  Is there an article on one of the Cru sites you could link to?

Tip: Look at other ministries and companies to see what they are doing well on Facebook. Think of your favorite Facebook company or group page - what do they do that sets them apart?

FACEBOOK IN 30 MINUTES: TUESDAY

Do you have any pictures to illustrate your posts? Now that you have ideas for posts, do you have any photos to go along with them? Photos take up 4x as much space in your audience’s feed and will increase your engagement. Photo ideas: •  Past events from your ministry •  Pictures from your office or location •  Photos of nature that could accompany a verse or quote •  Photos from Cru.org or a Cru ministry site?

Tip: Pulling images from a Google search without usage permission could result in a lawsuit. Make sure you have permission to use the images you post.

FACEBOOK IN 30 MINUTES: WEDNESDAY

Schedule your posts on Facebook If you have limited time for posting, use the post scheduler to create a week of posts at once. Watch what times get the most engagement from your audience and post accordingly. (How to use Facebook’s post scheduler on the next slides) Cru Global’s top times to post on Facebook: •  8-9 a.m. •  5-6 p.m. •  9-10 p.m.

Tip: Schedule your posts with variety. Ex: If you have two posts with images, don’t post them on back-to-back days. If you have a discussion question, why not post it on Wednesday to break up your other content?

FACEBOOK IN 30 MINUTES: THURSDAY

Find pages to “Like” “Liking” other Facebook pages not only allows you to interact, it also can give you ideas for content or ministry ideas that work. Liking other pages also will bring your page more exposure. Who you could “Like” on Facebook: •  Cru’s main account (Cru Global) and national Cru ministries •  Regional or local ministries in your area •  Leaders of ministries in your area •  Authors, pastors or speakers you like

Tip: Learn from the best; pick a product or company you think highly of, and follow their activity on Facebook. What are they doing, and what can you learn from it for your content strategy?

FACEBOOK IN 30 MINUTES: THURSDAY

Brainstorm creative content for future posts People go to Facebook for entertainment, so you don’t always need to take yourself too seriously. Use this time to think of creative and fun content that would make your audience smile. •  What could you do that would bring your page attention? •  Is there something funny or unique about your group that you

could call-out? •  Is there a guest poster you could bring on or a short video you

could make?

Tip: Show your personality; don’t just be a “quote machine” on social media, if there’s a video or post that made you laugh, share it with others. Social media is meant to be fun, so don’t be afraid to try different things.
