DESCRIPTION

The Child Witness Court Preparation Facilitator Training Program prepares community professionals to appropriately prepare children to testify in court, without contaminating evidence or jeopardizing the court case. The program consists of four core modules that can be offered in either a face to face or online learning environment. The four modules include 1) Core concepts central to child witnesses and court preparation 2) Child development issues and family dynamics 3) court roles, rules and legislation 4) court preparation research and strategies. Each modules consists of six to eight hours of instructional time.

A certi�cate will be provided for each session attended as well as a separate one for completion of the entire series. There is no charge for the series as it has been funded by Alberta Solicitor General and Public Security, Victims Programs.
