The small cuts will allow the greaseproof to fold around the corners inside the tin and sit neatly. If you need more than one strip, overlap them slightly until the whole inside is lined. Lastly place the base liner into the frame. For best results carefully grease the lining paper. Always allow the cake to cool completely before turning it out onto a cooling rack. This is very important as the cake is more liable to break if turned out too quickly. Shaped Aluminium (Wilton) Pans We recommend that you use the Cake Release or Bake Easy Spray when using shaped aluminium pans.
