Tourist attractions in and around cannes

In Cannes: The picturesque Suquet district, local products

creatively displayed at the Forville market, the Palais

des Festivals and the old port where the most luxurious

yachts dock.

Around Cannes: The Lérins Islands (15 minutes away

by boat), Monaco’s Formula 1 Grand Prix in May, world

perfume capital Grasse, Biot and its glass-blowing

From nice or aix en Provence via the a8/e80

Exit 42 toward Cannes/Mougins, follow “Cannes Centre”

to Boulevard Carnot (D6285), continue for three

kilometres. Take La Croisette along the seaside to the

hotel (900 metres).

From the Cannes train station (1.6 kilometres)

Take Rue Jean Jaurès (160 metres) then turn right on Rue

Chabaud (120 metres), continue to Rue Jean Macé (210

metres) then left on Boulevard de La Croisette

(510 metres).

Less than two hours from Monaco and the Italian border, Cannes is a prime holiday

destination. To the east, well-known resorts from Nice all the way to Menton; to the

west, the red rocks of the Esterel Massif blend into the Mediterranean for unique

landscapes. Of course there is also Saint-Tropez, a must for the international jet set,

as well as the back country with such charming villages as Vallauris, Mougins and Eze,

the favourite haunts of famous artists. In winter, ski resorts like Valberg and Isola 2000

are just an hour and half away by car.
