I would like to thank the parents who supported the trip and Ms Karin Doull and Mr Jonathon Dawson who organised the trip. Orientation Visits These have been completed this week. Thank you to the schools who participated. If there any families who still wish to visit the school please do not hesitate to contact us to make an appointment to tour the school. School Disco Unfortunately the School Disco has had to be postponed until early next term because of problems with staffing. You will be informed of the date early next term. Hello one and all. On Tuesday 13 September, Fairfield Intermediate School’s Kapa Haka group went to the Waikato Intermediate 20s Kapa Haka Competition where we took out 2nd place. We, as a school and as kaiako, are very pleased with the hard work that the roopu have done to get them to where they are. A very big thank you to all our parents who helped to transport our students. From us kaiako, THANK YOU ALL very much.

AIMS GAMES Last week saw 75 of Fairfield Intermediate’s athletes head over to Tauranga for

the AIMS Games. A week of tournament style competition boasting 9300 competitors from all over New Zealand. Fairfield Intermediate competed in cross country, hockey, futsal, bowls, mixed hockey, basketball, netball, football, swimming, squash, gymsports and golf. All teams represented Fairfield remarkably in the competition. A special thank you to all those involved in the competition, we cannot wait for next year!

WATER POLO Fairfield Blue 7 played Rototuna Junior High School and lost 7-8. Player of the Day was Teina Tainui.

Fairfield White played Te Rapa Typhoons and won 7-2. Player of the Day was Blake Thorpe for great defence, aggressive attack and good swimming. HOCKEY A big congratulations to the Fairfield Girls 1st XI who won the final against Peachgrove 4-1 and

are now the 2016 Grade A Intermediate School Champions. The whole team played well and deserved Player of the Day. A big thank you to the girls who worked hard all season, parents who have supported the team and the coaches Jeff and Bruce Rosemergy. Well done girls!

For audition information and booking see our website http://www.seussicaljr.123abc.co.nz SATURDAY MORNING ORCHESTRA AND MUSIC CLASSES The Hamilton Community Centre of Music is a charitable trust that's located on the University of Waikato campus in Hillcrest. It offers tuition in a wide range of musical instruments, for all ages (from 3 to retired) and ability levels. Because the classes are in group format, the fees can be lower than for private lessons ($65/term for most instruments for children under 16). Classes run between 8.00am and 12.30pm on Saturday mornings during primary school terms. The enrolment fee for an instrument class includes participation in any one of the following: an ensemble (string, guitar or flute), our concert band, or the HCCM Sinfonia Orchestra. You can participate just in Sinfonia - 90 minutes per week - for $95 per term. You can enrol by the term. The first session for Term 4 is on Saturday 15 October. ROVERS - SCHOOL OF FOOTBALL - HOLIDAY PROGRAMME Claudelands Rovers Football club has teamed up with Edventure to provide a brand new holiday programme - “School of Football”. Each day we have lined up skills, drills, games, and awesome activities. Kids are going to have so much fun and be transformed into amazing sportspeople by the end of the week.
