The purpose of the Fairleigh Dickinson University Division III Athletic Hall of Fame is to

recognize, honor and perpetuate the memory of those individuals who have made

outstanding contributions to FDU-Florham Athletics and have helped bring recognition,

honor, distinction and excellence to Fairleigh Dickinson University and its athletic

programs.

Women’s Basketball

Emily Cerankowski was a four-year letter winner from 2005-09.

Cerankowski received All-Freedom Conference first team honors in the 2007-

08 season and All-Freedom Conference Second Team recognition twice

(2006-07 and 2008-09).

Additionally, she ranks second all-time in career points at 1,725, first in

field goal attempts (1,677), free throw percentage (79.3%), three-pointers

made (153), three-point percentage (34.2%) and third in field goals made

(642). In the 2007-08 season, Cerankowski led the team to the Freedom

Conference Finals.

Men’s Lacrosse

Joseph Della-Corte was a member of the FDU men’s lacrosse

team from 1964-67.

Della-Corte helped lead the Devils to two Lydecker Division

Championships (1966 and 1967) in his four seasons with the team.

He is currently ranked 22nd in career points with 117 and was an

All-American in 1967.

He currently resides in Punta Gorda, FL and is a retired

Marine Colonel.

Field Hockey

Christina Fabian was a four-year letter winner for the Devils field hockey team from

2005-08.

Fabian ranks atop most of FDU-Florham field hockey’s record books including first in goals

(47), shots (213), game-winning goals (18), and second in points with 108. In addition,

Fabian was tabbed All-Freedom Conference first team three times (2006, 2007, 2008)

and named Team MVP twice (2007 & 2008).

The standout forward was a member of the program’s winningest team, which totaled 16

victories in 2007. Fabian also helped guide the Devils to three Freedom Conference

Tournament appearances (2006, 2007, 2008) and two ECAC appearances in 2006 and

2007.

Currently, Fabian utilizes her on-field experience as an assistant coach at Staples High

School in Westport, CT. She is also an elementary school teacher in Norwalk, Connecticut,

where she resides with her husband Ryan.

Men’s Tennis

Frank Geiger was a four-year letter winner for the FDU-Florham men’s tennis

team from 2003-2006.

Geiger was a four-time All-Freedom Conference first team recipient and

three-time Team MVP. Ranking as the winningest individual Devils men’s tennis

player in school history, he was named 2003 Freedom Conference Rookie of the

Year and and earned a conference doubles championship in 2004.

Currently, Geiger is an 8th grade social studies teacher, as well as, the

Director of Tennis at the Westfield Tennis Club. He has been married to his wife

Jessica for a little over a year and they live in Cherry Hill, NJ.

Football

John Miscia was a four-year letter winner for the Devils football team from

1996-99.

As a standout offensive lineman, Miscia was tabbed All-MAC three times (1997, 1998, 1999). Playing a position that is hard to quantify with statistics, Miscia excelled by incorporating sound fundamentals to his second-to-none work ethic. A proven leader, Miscia was named team captain in 1999 by head coach Larry

Arico.

Miscia continues to lead by example and imparts his knowledge of the game to

youth players in the Madison, NJ area. The former standout lineman is currently a police officer for the Madison Police Department and resides in Florham Park, NJ.

Men’s Golf

Greg Stockley was a four-year letter winner for the Devils men’s golf team

from 2006-2009.

The two-time Freedom Conference Golfer of the Year helped lead the Devils to four

conference championships and three NCAA Appearances. Additionally, Stockley was

tabbed to the All-Freedom Conference team all four years, Freedom Conference

Rookie of the Year (2006), and team captain each of his last two seasons. In

2012, Stockley was named to the All-Mac Century team.

Stockley currently resides in Red Bank, NJ and works as a health insurance sales

representative for MagnaCare.

Women’s Lacrosse

Amanda Wayne was a four-year letter winner for the Devils women’s lacrosse team from 2006-09.

Wayne’s name canvasses the Devils women’s lacrosse record book as the former attacker ranks first in goals (267), first in points (328), first in draw controls (238) and third in assists (61). Additionally,

Wayne’s long list of accolades includes MAC Player of the Year, First Team All-Boardwalk Region (3x), All-Freedom first team (4x), Team MVP (3x), Third Team womenslacrosse.com All-American

(2x), ECAC First Team, and chosen for the North/South All-Star Game. Over the course of her four seasons at FDU-Florham, Wayne helped lead the Devils to an NCAA

Tournament appearance and MAC Championship (2008), MAC Finals (2007 & 2009), and an ECAC Mid-Atlantic Region Championship (2009). In 2012, Wayne was named to the All-MAC Women’s

Lacrosse Century team.

Wayne earned her Masters of Social Work in 2012 from Adelphi University and currently works as a psychiatric social worker at John T. Mather Memorial Hospital in Port Jefferson, N.Y. The Long Island

native currently resides in East Patchogue, NY.

1993 Devils Football Team

The 1993 FDU-Madison Devils Football team is the winningest squad in program history. The team posted an

8-3 mark and appeared in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Tournament.

During the regular season, the team went 5-0 at home, including a 4-1 record in conference games. Offensively, the

Devils were led by quarterback Frank Plefka. Plefka, who ranks first all-time in touchdown passes with 35, tossed for

2,216 yards and 24 touchdowns during the 1993 season. The Devils quarterback’s favorite target was Vic Moncato.

Moncato hauled in 64 receptions for a program-best 1,217 yards and 14 touchdowns on the campaign. FDU-Madison’s

ground attack was paced by sophomore running back Chris Frangipane’s 498 yards.

Defensively, the Devils limited opponents to 15.7 points per game on the season led by junior linebacker Ed Schon.

Schon was flanked by fellow linebacker Eric Kohler as the team’s two top tacklers totaled 139 stops on the season. 1993 Roster

Dennis McAdam Scholarship The late Dennis McAdam, BS’72 (Flor), a member of the Div. III Athletic Hall of Fame Class of 2002, played varsity lacrosse for the FDU-Devils for four years, was team captain, was

voted most valuable player as a freshman and was an All-Metropolitan selection for four years. The scholarship was set-up to honor Dennis McAdam and everything he stood for.
