Experience It! Iguazu Falls
Iguazu Falls is one of the most impressive international borders in the world. The
falls take up nearly two miles of border between Argentina and Brazil and consist
of 275 individual cascades. The most striking section is a 350-foot high U-shaped
waterfall nicknamed “The Devil’s Throat.” It is so powerful, the spray it
generates reaches high overhead and will often create rainbows. Iguazu National
Park is a UNESCO World Heritage site. In addition to the remarkable falls, it is
surrounded by a diverse jungle ecosystem. Due to the constant spray the falls
create, the plant life is able to flourish. As a result, there are over 2,000 species of
flora and fauna in the park. In addition, there are a multitude of butterflies and
birds that thrive here including colorful parrots and toucans.
Please Note: Passport and Visa for Brazil (approximate visa cost is 160 USD) are required for this tour at your expense. This tour may require a certificate of Yellow Fever inoculation when applying for your Brazilian visa especially if you have travelled to Peru prior to Brazil. These fees are at your own expense. Rates are approximate and can be changed at any time based on governing authority.
The Argentine National Immigration Directorate (DNM) has launched a new online system to process payment of their reciprocity fee. Travelers must now pay this fee through the Provincia Pagos payment system prior to their arrival into Argentina. US and Canadian citizens must pay the reciprocity by accessing the following websites: www.migraciones.gov.ar and www.provinciapagos.gov.ar. This fee is approx. 160 USD for US, valid for the life of the passport and 75 USD for Canadian citizens, single entry, and is subject to change at the discretion of the Argentinean government. Australian tourists are charged a “reciprocity fee” of 100 USD. The fee is valid for multiple re-entries within a period of one year as of the date of first entry. The fee must be paid prior to arrival at all ports of entry, including airports, ports and land border crossings. Fee does not apply to UK citizens. Please contact your consulate for further details. This fee is at your own expense and again, must be paid by credit card online prior to arrival.
To complete your tour, we include roundtrip airport-to-hotel transfers when purchasing Collette airfare with your tour. If you have arranged for your own air, we are pleased to provide you the option of purchasing these transfers. Please note that all transfers will leave at prescheduled times.
Due to flight schedules, a pre/post night may be required in some gateway cities (at an additional cost). Please inquire at time of reservation.
The days and order of sightseeing may change to best utilize your time on tour.
This tour includes moderate physical activity. The itinerary blends some longer days with shorter days and more leisure time. Walking tours, as well as walking slightly longer distances, up stairs or on uneven walking surfaces should be expected.
Each client is responsible for proper documentation and inoculations that may be required and/or recommended to participate on this tour. Please contact your local travel clinic or personal physician for specific details on the destinations you are traveling to and from.
Please be advised many airlines do not provide advance seat assignments until check-in at the airport. Advance seating will be subject to the airline's terms and conditions.
The internal flights on this program are not included in the land price of your tour. These flights need to be arranged and purchased separately if you arrange your own air. Internal
flights are included with the air portion of your tour if you purchase air through us.

Extend your vacation with
Optional 4 Days 3-Night Easter Island Post Tour Extension
Rate: $1,999.00 USD per person, double, land & air inclusive 5 Meals: 3 Breakfasts, 1 Lunch, 1 Dinner
Day 12: Santiago - Easter Island
Fly to legendary Easter Island. “Isla de Pascua” or “Rapa Nui,” as it is known in the local Polynesian language, is the most isolated inhabited island in the world. Steeped in lore and most famously home to the enigmatic Moai sculptures, this place is an archaeologist’s dream. The Polynesian Rapanui people are believed to have arrived on the island in the 8th century. By the 19th century they had almost disappeared due to overpopulation and deforestation. Arrive at Hanga Roa, the only town on the island and home to fewer than 4,000 residents. Tonight, enjoy a Rapa Nui folklore show showcasing native dance, costumes and music. Today dinner will be included.
Day 13: Easter Island
This morning, visit the Rano Kao Volcano where you will discover a freshwater lake inside its deep crater. Continue to Orongo, at the base of the volcano, and learn about the Birdman Cult’s unique ceremonies and rituals. See beautiful petroglyphs of the “birdman,” a figure central in Rapa Nui art and beliefs. At Ana Kai Tangata, another sea-cliff cave, see magnificent carved petroglyphs of prehistoric birds. Continue to the ceremonial platform of Ahu Vinapu and admire its architectural perfection. After lunch at leisure, depart for Ahu Akivi, a platform composed of 7 Moai statues. These are the only Moai statues on the island that were positioned facing the sea. Continue to admire Ana Te Pahu, also known as the “Cave of the Bananas.” The tour continues visiting the Puna Pau quarry where the Pukao were carved – Pukao are also known as the typical hairstyle or the hats of the Moai. Learn more about the making, building and transportation process of these colossal sculptures carved on volcanic rock before returning to your hotel for an evening at leisure. Today breakfast will be included.
Day 14: Easter Island
Depart this morning along the Moai route where these colossal sculptures are scattered all around the island. Visit several “Ahu” – or ceremonial platforms – surrounded by Moais that lay face down on the ground. Then, visit Ahu Akahanga where the first king of the island was buried. Continue on to Rano Raraku Volcano, located near the southern coast and at the feet of Poike, the most spectacular crater of the zone, where the ancient natives sculpted these stone giants. Visit Ahu Tongariki, the largest Moai platform in the island with its 15 Moais. The place was destroyed in May 1960 by a tsunami and it has been restored thanks mainly to Japanese foundations. Arrive at Ahu Te Pito Kura, an enormous spherical rock and the Moai Paro, the largest statue on the island. Cap off the
day with a visit to Anakena, one of the most beautiful beaches on the island. Today breakfast and lunch will be included.
Day 15: Easter Island - Tour Ends Bid farewell to magical Easter Island. Today breakfast will be included.
Please Note:
Rates include the approx. 63 USD Rapa Nui National Park entrance fee.

Santiago
Viña del Mar & Valparaiso $125 USD
Discover Chile’s famous wine country, its Pacific Ocean resorts and the stunning seaside city of Valparaiso –
“Paradise Valley.” Gaze upon fruit orchards and olive groves as you journey to Valparaiso – Chile’s second largest
city and a UNESCO World Heritage site which boasts colorful architecture. Tour the narrow avenues of the port and
the Plaza Sotomayor, flanked by the Maritime Authority building and the Iquique Heroes monument. Travel along the
beautiful coastal route to Viña del Mar, the “Vineyard by the Sea.” Enjoy a seaside lunch at a local restaurant. Chile’s
elite have been retreating here since 1874 and it is still one of Chile’s most fashionable beach resorts. The famous
Chilean poet and 1971 Nobel Prize winner, Pablo Neruda, lived here. Visit his eccentric home at La Sebastiana, now
a museum. Travel along the beaches of Las Salinas, Reñaca, and Con-Con on your way back towards Santiago.
Venture into the green and fertile valleys of Curacavi and Casablanca to enjoy a visit to a local winery. Learn about
the variety of grapes grown there which produce such wines as cabernet sauvignon, merlot, pinot noir, chardonnay
and sauvignon blanc, then cap off your day with a chance to taste some of these delicious varietals. Duration:
Approximately 8 hours. Please note a minimum of 5 passengers is required. Transportation is included.
Savor the Wines of Chile $199 USD
We are off to discover Chile’s world-famous wine. Visit two exceptional vineyards to uncover how their wines are
made and taste their delicious creations. Journey to Casablanca Valley, one of the best white wine regions in Chile.
Our first stop is at Casas del Bosque, established in 1993 as a family boutique winery and boasting high-quality wines.
Then, we are off to San Antonio Valley for a visit to Matetic Vineyard. In 1999, this family-owned winery began
making its delicious wine. At this time, they implemented an ecofriendly form of agriculture. After learning about their
form of wine making and enjoying a wine tasting, savor regional cuisine at a delicious lunch at the restaurant
Equilibrio nestled on a small lagoon. Duration: Approximately 6 hours. Please note a minimum of 5 passengers is
required. Transportation is included.
Buenos Aires
Fiesta Gaucha & Asado Lunch $190 USD
Experience the arts, culture and open spaces of the Argentine pampas and the gauchos who made their homes and lives
here! Begin your day with a journey across these flat, fertile plains that stretch from the Atlantic coast of Argentina to
the Andean foothills. On the scenic drive, enjoy a hearty cup of maté – an herbal infusion of yerba maté. Similar in
taste to some green teas, maté is a traditional South American beverage and sharing maté together is a strong social
custom. Arrive at an expansive ranch called an Estancia – where you’re greeted with a welcome drink and appetizers.
Meet a real-life gaucho and experience an equestrian demonstration that displays the athletic prowess of these South
American cowboys. Then, enjoy a hearty asado lunch – a typical Argentine barbeque, prepared over an open fire.
Lunch is followed by a lively folkloric show, featuring live music, dancing and a tango demonstration that celebrates
the independent spirit of the gaucho. The gauchos then showcase their horsemanship with cuadreras and ring races. For
those who yearn to participate in the fun, saddle up for a ride on one of the ranch’s gentle horses or take a ride around
the ranch in one of the traditional two-wheeled carts called sulkies. Enjoy delicious home-made pastries, and reflect on
your day of cultural fun. Duration: Approximately 8 hours. Please note a minimum of 10 passengers is required.
Transportation is included.
Rio de Janeiro
Sugarloaf $110 USD
Discover one of Rio's most famous attractions and a guided tour of Sugarloaf Mountain. Spend the morning exploring
this iconic rock, Rio de Janeiro's most recognizable icon. You'll soar high above the valley below on a breathtaking
ride in a cable car to the top of the Sugarloaf Mountain. Have plenty of time to take in the amazing 360-degree
panoramic views of one of the world's most beautiful cities. Duration: Approximately 3 hours. Please note a
minimum of 20 passengers is required. Transportation is included.
Iguazu Falls
Iguazu Falls Jungle & Boat Ride $130 USD
Venture on a safari into the heart of a lush tropical rainforest where 275 dazzling waterfalls cascade and create nature’s
soundtrack. In Iguazu National Park you’ll find rare and endangered species of birds, more than 700 species of
butterflies, vibrantly colored toucans, the giant river otter, and the elusive jaguar. A scenic three mile ride on open-air
jeeps brings you into its heart for a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. Cruise through the rainforest in Zodiac boats as the
river takes you to the base of the waterfalls where breathtaking views greet you. This is as close as you can get to the
Devil’s Throat cascade! Mist from the thundering falls nurtures the lush flora surrounding you – including orchids,
hearts of palm trees, and bromeliads – and rainbows abound. Enjoy a refreshing “waterfall shower” as the captain
maneuvers the boat to fully appreciate the scenery. From beginning to end, this rendezvous in paradise is
unforgettable. It is recommended to bring an extra jacket or sweater, as you will get wet during the adventure on the
Iguazu River. A short walk on the trail to the river is required, so wear comfortable shoes. Duration: Approximately 2
hours. Please note a minimum of 1 passengers is required. Transportation is included.
Rio de Janeiro

Montmartre. Arrive via the historic Santa Teresa tramway, the last one still in use in Rio, taking in captivating views
of the city below as it travels across the landmark Lapa Arches aqueduct. Santa Teresa's traditional district features
beautiful estate homes from the beginning of the century, built mainly by English railroad managers. It’s now
