Museum of perceptionA public space and cultural facilities.Castillo de San Sebastian, Cadiz.

From a theoretical issue, as is the Museum of Perception, a type of study began that created the matrix which fermented concepts, spaces and sensations. This all evolved into a public space and high-brow cultural facility. 35000 m2 of public space, 3500 m2 of cultural resources and an auditorium of 1500m2. A public space that seeks contact with the sea whereby parts of the space are located in places where the waves the wind or just the sound, are the elements that highlight the passage through them. The cultural facilities occupy the casemates of the castle in relation to the needs. The auditorium sits on the esplanade of the castle like a rock that has been discovered, and with the passing of time, it will erode just like any other element you can find at the scene.

Bridge + Bar Alcalá de Guadaira, Sevilla

This project completes a series of actions in the Guadaira river enabling the connection between both sides of the river and creating a point of interest/leisure.Starting from the concept of fractality and after a long process of structural analysis and rectification of the model, the final solution was found. The design would be wooden, with stainless steel joints. The project aims to rise from the river, the same as its surrounding vegetation, and with the passing of time it will become a part of the riverbank, with the same colours and textures.

Due to the extension of the action and the extent of the program, we decided, from the beginning, to work with the undetermined in architecture, of how an image can help organize a research site and accommodate the program. We impose several variables such as: damp floor, height, zoning, surface required. The structure created maps the production areas, the research areas, the storage areas, etc. All areas and their usage are linked to various mobility analysis and internal relations that configure areas that do not require large displacements for their function.

Palace reconversion in Theme hotel focus in wine, restaurant and winery.Due to the level of historical protection of the Palace, no structural element or facades could be modified. An intervention of inner architecture was proposed, working with reactive bands that modeled the interiors. The inner organization of the public spaces is structured in bands that become furniture, spaces and functional areas.

Facing the main transversal axis of the city, project work with the concept of opposition. Opposition between the private and public sectors; opposition between the orthogonal volumes and the line of the garden; opposition between the monotony of daily life and the punctual uses of the multipurpose room. The volumes show the most colourful and cheerful facades compared to the grayish surroundings, while they show their somber face to the interior. In each floor the rooms share a kitchen and community storage room.Residence with 54 rooms, multipurpose room, bar, leisure room and laundry.

The proposal is in the plot with several key ideas, topography, landscape and climatic factors. Given the slope of the plot, 6 m from one diagonal to another, the volume of intervention is not unitary but cross-fractured, producing a gap in the construction allowing it to adapt better to the topography. The creation of a terrace deck allows phenomenal views of the landscape from the building, making it one of the best places to observe the town of Prado del Rey and its beautiful surroundings. The lattice that wraps the external circulation areas of the apartments has a double function, on one hand it is a screen for sunlight and on the other hand it blocks views form the neighbours.

Design for the exhibition in the Spanish Embassy in Tokyo in the annual event developed by ICEX, Tokyo Design Week, is committed to an intervention that touches on the ethereal realms whereby both pieces and designers attract all the attention.“The Spanish Wave” evokes the image of the designer objects transported to the Japanese coast by sea.

Like an explosion of information, the project takes up the garden space with information panels, and the addition of a paved floor, which is a distinctive element of the intervention and attractive to the eye in the main space. The interior exhibition space is arranged in bands of full and empty volumes that embrace the intervention.

AMD Architecture for Humanity CompetitionMASAarquitectura. Medical center focused on pregnancy.Mention.

Situated at the base of the Himalayas and by the aid/provision centre for expeditions to climb to the top, the medical clinic focuses on monitoring pregnancies in the area. It is a self-sufficient unit with heating, wind turbine electricity production, cultivation of medicinal herbs focused on pregnancy, multipurpose room and delivery room monitored for Remote Assistance. From the beginning, a traditional construction system was planned, but one with acceptable technological advances for the community. We studied the traditional building techniques and we implemented, with great detail, more complex unions/connections, but achievable within the techniques available in the area.

Located on the top floor of the station “Nuevos Ministerios” in Madrid, the pavilion is situated in the best spot for passing trade, looking for the curious person who decides to enter. Exhibition halls, shops, information desk and a Zen Garden. All built with metal frame and plasterboard systems, facilitating the ephemeral nature of the piece. Easy installation and has no impact on the station, it can be mounted in 1 single day and dismounted in the same time.

Parametric DesignHex grid structures

Surface Modelled with Rhinoceros and parametriced with grasshopper. A new definition was written, factors like the diameter of the tubes and the density of the grid could be modified. Investigation into how a hex grid structure can conform to complex surfaces, and the problems that appear, e.g. unions of tubes, and curvature changes
