    AqUAtICS GUIDELINES:1. Youth ages 5 and younger must be accompanied directly by a supervising adult in the water.2. Youth ages 6 and older may use the pool independently.3. Swimmers under the age of 6 may not use the whirlpool. Ages 6-17 must have adult supervisio

    while using the whirlpool.4. Swimmers are to wear swim suits. Street clothing is not allowed.5. Youth ages 12 and under must pass a swim test to be able to swim in the deep end.6.Allyoutharesubjecttoswimtestingandapplicablerestrictionsbasedonswimmingabilitywhi

    3rD FLoor trACK & GroUP ExErCISE GUIDELINES:trACK:1. Direction: odd days of the month (clockwise) / even days of the month (counterclockwise).2. Fast runners should stay to the outside of the track. Slow runners and walkers on the inside.3. People using the track must be running or walking. No loitering.4. Youth ages 12 and older may use the track unsupervised. Children ages 11 and under may us

    track area when directly accompanied by a supervising adult.5. Strollers and wheel chairs: wheels must be wiped clean and used in the inside lane.

    GroUP ExErCISE/PErSoNAL FItNESS ArEA:1. Ages 12 and older are welcome to participate in group exercise classes or personal fitness.2. The group exercise area is designated for group exercise classes and personal fitness. No

    horseplay please.GYMNASIUM GUIDELINES:1. Youth ages 10 and older may use the gymnasium independently. Youth ages 9 and under mus

    directly supervised by an adult or part icipating in a YMCA program.2. Proper gym clothes and athletic shoes that do not mark the f loor must always be worn.3. All members and guests will be expected to conduct themselves in a proper manner at all time

    Inappropriate language is not permitted. Violators of the rules and regulations will forfeit theirusage privileges.

    4. Please follow the schedule at all times. Schedules will be posted in the gym and are available the Member Service Desk and on our website.

    rACqUEtBALL, HANDBALL & SqUASH GUIDELINES:1. Youth ages 10 and older may use the courts independently. Youth ages 9 and under must bedirectly supervised by an adult or part icipating in a YMCA program.

    2. Protective eyewear is strongly recommended.3. Athletic shoes that do not mark the f loor must always be worn.

    LoCKEr rooM PoLICIES:1. All children 5 years and older must change in respective locker room facility by gender OR par

    may bring their children into the adaptive locker room. If you are uncomfortable with the locker situation, please let the Member Service Desk know and they can assist you.

    2. The Plus locker rooms are for adults only. The only exception is family times, which includeWednesday and Friday Evenings, Saturday and Sunday afternoons.

    3. Lock your locker at all times. Locks are available to borrow or for sale at the Member Service D4. Do not leave items in lockers overnight.

    Cde CnductThe YMCA is committed to providing a safe andwelcoming environment for all members and guests.To promote safety and comfort for all, all individualsare asked to act appropriately at all times when in ouracilities or when participating in YMCA programs heldoff site. Inappropriate behavior or language deemed tobe in conflict with the welfare and safety of membersand staff is strictly prohibited at YMCA properties andprograms and could result in a loss of membershipand program participating privileges. Such behaviorsnclude but are not limited to cursing, abusive language,ghting, theft or behavior that results in the destruction

    or loss of property, and any other verbal or physicalconduct of a sexual or abusive nature. Additionally,persons who are under the influence of drugs or alcoholmay be asked to leave the premises and authoritiesmay be called.

    2. Members using the Y facility should bring a padlockfor daily use. The YMCA will remove padlocks andpersonal items from lockers if left overnight. The Y isnot responsible for lost or stolen articles. The Y willkeep all lost and found on hand for 30 days and thenwill give the usable articles to Goodwill.

    3. The YMCA is a smoke-free facility.4. The YMCA does not have public health and accident

    insurance. You are participating at your own risk andare responsible for yourself and your children. Allaccidents should be reported to a YMCA staff person.

    5. Please restrict cell phone use to the lobby andhallways.

    6. Video recording devices are prohibited in all lockerrooms and rest rooms.

If you are a current member at another YMCA and would like to use our fmore than 12 times per year, you may purchase an unlimited pass from the Duluth YMCA for $200.00. DifferenYMCAs have different policies regarding accepting AWAY members. Let us know where you are going and weahead for you.

    YMCA rentalsRent the YMCA on an hourly basis or by the evening. Areas for rent include: swimming pool, gymnasium,racquetball courts and equipment for volleyball, basketball and walleyball. Overnight lock-ins are also availabFor more information, please call 722-4745 ext. 161.

    Payment Methds

    At the YMCA, payment is accepted by cash, check or credit card (Mast

    Card, Discover, Visa). Phone & on-line registrations must be paid by cr

    card. The full class fee must be paid to guarantee your spot.

    Cedit/refund PlicyCredits and refunds are given for the following reasons:1. Medical condition prevents you from participating.

    2. YMCA cancels the class (excluding weather conditions).

    3. You transfer to a program at a lower price.

    the YMCA visin build sng kids,strong families and strongcommunities is never more evident than in our swim lessons. From six monthso adult, from terrified of water through advanced, we have taught thousands ofchildren and adults the basics of water safety and swimming.

    Which class is igh f me?

    nfan Swim Pgam:Water Babies (6-18 Months) and Aqua Tots (18-36Months) are designed to train parents to practice safety while introducing theirchildren to the aquatic environment. These classes prepare the student forndependence and participation in the Pre-School Classes. Children should attendwith a parent or guardian.

    Pe-Schl Swim Lessns (ages 3-5). There are four levels of lessons: Pike,Eel, Ray, and Starfish. Classes are held in the main pool and develop comfort in thewater and swimming skills. These classes are the childs first experience without theparentsotheclasssizesaresmallerforcloserinstructorattention.

    Yuh Swim Lessns(ages6+).Forchildrenages6andolder,orthose

    children that have completed the Pre-School Lesson Program. There are sixevels of lessons: Polliwog, Guppy, Minnow, Fish, Flying Fish and Shark. Theseessons continue to develop students swimming ability, water comfort, and safetyconsciousness.f you are ever unsure about which program to sign your child up for, feel free tocontact our Aquatics Coordinator at 722-4745 ext. 131 for guidance.
