Bottom Line
• Even with small budget increases, Murphy Library (as well as most academic libraries) is no longer able to support traditional print access to scholarly communication through journal subscriptions alone
Where Do We Go From Here?
• Before publishing in a journal, ask some questions:– Can I post a copy of my article on my
web site or my institution’s web site? – Are archives available to the public
for free after a short time period (for publicly funded research) ?
