Good News!
Over the last weeks, TC Media has been winning awards at a number of industry
competitions, and its flagship brands have been outperforming in the marketplace. So we
want to share the good news and above all thank you for your collaboration and exceptional
work over the past year!
"OF THE YEAR" MATERIAL!
First, we are very proud to announce that TC Media has been named one of the 10 finalists in the Media
Player of the Year competition organized by Marketing magazine. Every year this trade publication invites
companies to submit applications in three categories: Media Player of the Year, Agency of the Year and
Marketer of the Year. Several of our initiatives and projects have given us an edge and put us among the
finalists: the launch of mobile apps such as the remote payment solution for Stationnement de Montréal (P$
Mobile Service) and On the Table, the higher newsstand sales of a number of our magazines, such as
Canadian Living (up 8.2%) and Elle Canada (up 2.7%), as well as our new television production house,
TC Media Production. (Source: ABC June 2012)
The name of winning company will be announced in January 2013.

2012 MOBIZ AWARDS
On November 15th, our mobile solutions team won the 2012 Mobiz-Ingenio Award in
the "Business – Society" category for the new P$ Mobile Service remote payment
solution for Stationnement de Montréal. Since the app was launched in June 2012,
more than 76,000 accounts have been opened, generating an average of 28,000
transactions per week. This new service for Montreal motorists is clearly a solution that
stands out because of its impact on the services and information provided to
consumers.

NEW COMSCORE RECORD
Our site canadianliving.com had remarkable success in
October, moving from 16th to 14th position in the Lifestyle
category of ComScore ranking. It even set a new ComScore
record by attracting 1.307 million unique visitors, which
doesn’t include visitors to the website’s mobile platform. This
is an increase of more than 300,000 unique visitors over
September, and puts canadianliving.com up there with sites
like Sympatico.ca, Globe Life, Martha Stewart, Chatelaine
and Pop Sugar. Canadianliving.com is the most-visited
women’s website in its category.
MEDIA INNOVATION AWARDS (MIA)
On November 16th, Marketing magazine also announced the winners of the MIA for innovative and original
advertisers, agencies and media companies. We learned that our publications did extremely well in two
separate categories and won three awards:
BEST IN NEWSPAPER
GOLD: Fédération des producteurs de lait du Québec and Touché! PHD for “Comforting Edition" – Metro Newspaper
BEST IN MAGAZINE – No GOLD was awarded.
SILVER: Kraft Canada and Starcom MediaVest Group for “Premium Plus – Soup Loves Premium Plus” – Initiative developed through our brands: Coup de pouce, Canadian Living, Style at Home, Décormag and Canadian Gardening

2012 COMMUNITY NEWSPAPER AWARDS Our community papers also won recognition in this prestigious competition which pays tribute to the
excellence and top-notch work of professionals in the Quebec community press. In all, we received 15
awards in 11 different categories. A list of the winners is appended to this release.
CANADIAN ONLINE PUBLISHING AWARDS (COPA)
The 2012 COPA Awards were held in Toronto in October 2012. Having earned a total of 17 nominations, we
won awards in five categories. First, we won gold in the Best data visualization category with The great
Canadian food map: An interactive infographic, an interactive map published on canadianliving.com that
identifies the most popular food products by province or territory. The mobile app for TheHockeyNews.com
won once again, obtaining Silver in the Best smartphone app category. The site ELLEQuébec.com also
won Silver, this time for its video Les coulisses du reportage mode Icônes, in the Best video or multimedia
feature category. StyleatHome.com came second in two categories, Best e-newsletter and Best use of
social media.
2012 DIGI AWARDS
Lastly our new app On the Table/Quoi Manger has been nominated in the Best
Tablet App category in the 2012 Digi Awards. Quite the achievement after only
six months! The winners will be announced on December 4th. Stay tuned!
TC Media thanks and congratulates everyone who worked directly or indirectly on these projects. These
awards show the success of our efforts to work more closely together in order to excel in the marketplace.
Great job!
