PRESCHOOL PROGRAMS (3 to 5)

WHERE CHILDREN LEARN, GROW & THRIVEAt the Y, we regard each child as a unique individual who needs to be understood, guided, encouraged and appreciated. At this early age, play is a child’s most important form of learning and development. We provide programs and activities where children learn, explore, develop athletic skills, build a positive self-image and develop social relationships with other children.

EARLY LEARNING - PRESCHOOLPreschool is an exciting time as children embark on new adventures in the world of learning. At the Y, we regard each child as a unique individual who needs to be understood, guided, encouraged and appreciated. Our NAEYC accredited programs provide activities where children learn, explore, build a positive self-image and develop strong social and emotional relationships. Y programs encourage children to explore their creativity through multi-sensory experiences and create a language-rich environment to promote and foster a love of reading. Children are exposed to art, music, math and science as they develop expressive and receptive language and gross motor skills.

Our full day preschool operates Monday – Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Nutritional breakfast, lunch and snack are provided.

Help your child be kindergarten ready! Enroll him or her in our YMCA preschool program today! Call 773.235.2525 to register.

GIVE THE GIFT OF BELONGING. When you donate to the Y, you’re supporting programs, services and financial assistance opportunities that help strengthen your community.

THE Y.™ FOR A BETTER US.™

At the Y, we believe the desire to belong and help others is human nature, and everyone has something of value to contribute to the greater good. We serve as a catalyst for positive change in communities, bringing people together and giving them opportunities to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others and their own lives.

At the McCORMICK TRIBUNE YMCA, we are devoted to engaging and connecting all segments of our community. Everyone is welcome here. We believe diversity enriches and enlivens our Y.

For a better you. For a better community. For a better country. Give for a better us at donate.ymcachicago.org.
