PHOTOGRAPHY RELEASE: BlackRock reserves the right to use photographs and video, taken in class or at the Center, of students, participants and/or their artwork for the purposes of instruction and/or advertising and promotion of Black-Rock and its programs. REGISTRATION: Online registrations for classes and camps are available at blackrockcenter.org and are con-firmed immediately. Spaces cannot be held without payment. Students and parents are also welcome to register over the phone by calling 301.528.2260 or in person at the Front Desk. Online registration is not available after the first meeting of the class. Those interested in joining a class after the first meeting may do so in-person or over the phone at the discretion of the BlackRock Education Department. Registrations will not be accepted for classes after the second meeting. REGISTRATION CONFIRMATION: Confirmations will be emailed for class registrations. Waiting lists will be set up for classes at maximum enrollment and you will be notified when space becomes available. CONSERVATORY VS SEASONAL CLASSES: A Conservatory class is defined as a year-long class that builds a student’s skills throughout the academic year. A Conservatory student takes the same class with the same teacher for the year and is expected to participate in the full class. A student who wishes to join a Conservatory class after the first class has begun must receive permission from the instructor and the Director of Education. A pro-rated tuition fee will be calculated based on the date the student joins the class. Conserva-tory classes culminate in mid-year conservatory demonstrations in December and spring conservatory recitals in June on our main stages.

A Seasonal class is a shorter se-quence of classes spanning a single session: fall, winter, spring, or sum-mer. Seasonal classes culminate in open classes and performances dur-ing our sharing week: the last session of every class. Seasonal classes will not be prorated for late registration.

CONSERVATORY PAYMENT PLAN: For our year-long Conservatory classes, we have several payment plan options available. Payment plans can only be processed using a valid

credit card. The first installment of the selected payment plan, plus a $20-$50 processing fee depending on the plan selected will be due immedi-ately at the time of registration (See website for details). For those joining the Conservatory in January, the only payment plan options available is a two part plan (50% down, bal-ance due February 1). When setting up an online payment plan, you must click “Accept Payment Plan” in order to move forward with your selected plan, otherwise the full amount of the class will be charged at the time of registration. If you purchase a year-long Conservatory class and a Seasonal (only fall, winter, spring or summer) class/camp at the same time, the selected payment plan will only apply to the Conservatory class. Your Seasonal class must be paid in full at the time of registration. If a credit card is declined, families have 10 days to supply BlackRock with their payment and must provide a new valid credit card. Failure to pay a scheduled payment after the 10-day grace period will result in withdrawal of that student from the class and all payments made to date as part of the payment plan will be forfeited. For more details on Payment Plans for Conservatory classes, visit our website under “Education Policies.”

CLASS CANCELLATIONS: BlackRock reserves the right to cancel a class for any reason. In the event BlackRock must cancel a class, full refund of tuition is guaranteed. Early enroll-ment is advised to reserve a space in each class and to avoid possible cancellation.

The balance will be automatically charged by the registration system to the credit card on file prior to the start of the first class. If the credit card charge should fail, payment is due in full prior to the second class or the student will automatically be withdrawn and all payments made to date as part of the payment plan forfeited. Should the student choose to not attend class after registering, all withdrawal policies and fees will remain in effect. TRANSFERS, REFUNDS, AND WITHDRAWALS: Requests for re-funds and withdrawals may be made by calling the Education Department at 301.528.2260 or by emailing [email protected]. When BlackRock cancels a class, we will call the payer/registrant to offer options of transfers, credits or refunds. None of these will be pro-cessed without direct communication between the payer/registrant and the Education Staff. If we do not hear from a payer/registrant for more than 4 weeks after a class Is cancelled, we will automatically process a credit.
