Project Management Standards $379This course is intended as a prerequisite to the Project
Management Professional (PMP) Exam Preparation and the Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) Exam Preparation courses. It provides the mandatory classroom hours as well as the framework for processes, tools and techniques essential to mastering advanced concepts of project management. Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) Exam Preparation $695
This course prepares students for the Project Management Institute’s (PMI) CAPM Certification exam. It is designed for entry-level to senior members of a project team who contribute specialized skills such as scheduling, logistics, cost estimating or other project work. The CAPM credential signifies that the individual knows the standards and terminology of the PMBOK® Guide. This class is also appropriate for individuals who wish to increase their skills and/or enter the project management field. Students learn the content necessary to pass the exam and have the opportunity to practice with high-quality practice exam questions. Driver Education Defensive Driving (DDC-8) $79
Drivers who have accumulated penalty points against their records can have up to four points removed upon successful completion of this course. Depending on your insurance carrier, a discount may be available. You must register in advance and must be on time. As a reminder, any person who drives a motor vehicle when his or her license is cancelled, suspended or revoked is in violation of S.C. Statute 56-1-460 and is subject to arrest; this includes driving to and from TTC campuses. Students should verify before enrolling (at www.scdmvonline.org) if they have a penalty points balance on their driving record for the credited points to be applied. Introduction to Sewing NEW! $149Do you have a sewing machine but you are a little
fuzzy on how to actually use it? Learn how to perform the basic task of using your sewing machine and then move on to learning how to make a button hole, sew on buttons and install a zipper. Students will need the following supplies: scissors; multi-pack of universal needles including sizes 11, 14 and 16; thread (any color) bobbins; sewing machine; and general sewing foot zipper/cording foot and button foot.XIND 600-MP8 8/28-29 ThF 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
Introduction to Upholstery NEW! $149 In this hands-on class, students will upholster a
parson’s chair. These stylish yet classic chairs are popular staples for the home. The best part of all is that they are surprisingly basic to upholster, using the simple principles of “pull and staple” dining seats combined with just a few techniques used by the pros. Chair, fabric and any additional supplies to be provided by instructor. Upholstery: Turning Trash into Treasure $399Learn to up-cycle drab furniture into fabulous
showpieces in this course conducted by Pamela Bowen. Upholster a wing-back chair with hands-on practice, step-by-step, using the same techniques and tricks the pros use. Each student is provided a chair to practice on in class. This exciting course combines the instruction and hands-on training you need to be able to transform your own furniture into the fashionable pieces seen in decorating magazines. Tailored Slipcovers NEW! $169 Learn to sew professional quality slipcovers
perfectly tailored to your furniture. Because of their versatility and ease of care, tailored slipcovers have become essential for many of the most fashionable homes. Using on-site furniture, learn to create slipcover patterns, pin-fit patterns onto furniture, and sew patterns together to complete a finished slipcover. Basic sewing skills are required.
