Monday-Friday: 10:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m.

Saturday: 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.

REGISTRATION

1. Registration begins August 2019, GPLA Volleyball and Soccer.

2. Payment by Check, Money Order, Credit Card or Cash. A Collection Fee will be charged for each check

returned by the bank.

3. Full payment is required at time of registration. We only accept exact change.

4. Monthly/Weekly fees are due the 1st day of the class/activity. There is a late fee if payments are not made

on time.

5. Full refunds are only issued when the recreation center cancels the activity. A 15% cancellation fee is as-

sessed for all refunds. Changes or transfers per class, sports league or day camp registration maybe as-

sessed additional fees. After the first day of a session, the Recreation Center issues a partial refund to pa-

trons withdrawing from the activity”.

6. Sports programs require a copy of the child’s birth certificate at registration.

7. There will be no classes on holidays, unless specified by instructor.

8. Personal insurance is needed. The City of L.A. does not provide insurance.

We at Lafayette Community Center, have made it possible for our

patrons to use a fast and easy online registration process for our

classes and camps. You must have an active and valid email address for online

registration to be effective. To help you get acquainted with this

Volunteer opportunities available! Lafayette is looking for

dedicated individuals to share their talents. We are also looking for sponsors for the many wonderful programs that we have to

offer. Sponsors are needed for sport leagues, special events, and year round activities. For more information contact the

Basketball Gym Only for sports activities

No parties, No Dunking Allowed.

$50 per hour

Additional Scorekeeper Fee : $22

Soccer Field We have 1 Soccer field

Light use is an additional $10

$15 per hour for kids

$40 per hour for adults

Community Room Hours available:

A staff fee of $30 will be charged for every hour.

Picnic Areas We have four picnic areas. All reservations include

a $25 non-refundable permit fee.

Moonbounce is only allowed in these picnic are-

as and will have an additional $25 permit fee.

Groups 1-50: $75

Groups 51-100: $100

Groups 101-200: $150

Groups 201-400: $250

Groups 400+: $350

Lafayette Park offers permits for the Basketball Gym,

Soccer Field, Community Room and our Picnic areas. For more

information please ask at park office window for further assistance.

GYM/ Soccer Field: Please call for availability (213) 384-0562.

Reservations and Permit application must be made a minimum of 3 weeks in advance. Payment is required to hold

reservation. The basketball gymnasium will only be permitted out for basketball. No parties are allowed inside the

gymnasium. Permits must be signed by the person (18 years or older) in charge of the group. Permittee must be pre-

sent at the event, and is responsible for the conduct of the group and for any damage caused by the group in the

park. Permit applications must be approved by the director. Reservations are on a “First come, first serve” basis. Any

reservations not during business hours will be charged with an additional staffing fee. For groups composed primarily

of minors, we suggest proper supervision to ensure safety and enjoyment of all. Permittee and group must observe

the limits of their permit, and honor the rights of other park patrons. Alcohol is not permitted.

$10.00 Sibling Discount Provided. We pick up from

Camino Nuevo Elementary (Kayne Campus), Charles

White Elementary, Commonwealth Elementary,

Dr. Sammy Lee Magnet Elementary, Esperanza

Elementary, Hoover Elementary, MacArthur Park

Elementary, Lafayette Primary

Cost: $85 per month, $75 for drop off

Registration Fee: $25

Days: Monday—Friday

Time: 2:00 p.m.—6:00 p.m.

EARLY DISMISSALS INCLUDED

Learn traditional Mexican dance in a safe and

nurturing environment. Students will develop

posture, foot work, technique, use of space and

time, quality of movement, and choreography. A

wonderful way to experience music and create new

friendships!

Cost: $25 per month

Days: Thursdays

Time: 6:30 p.m.—7:30 p.m.

Registration: TBD

Introduction to ballet: Strength, proper body

alignment, ballet vocabulary and classroom

etiquette are emphasized. Children will also learn

basic techniques, rhythm and style. In addition, the

class will help improve strength, coordination and

flexibility. Children should have ballet shoes and

dance attire.

Cost: $20 per month

Days: Tuesdays

Time: 6:30 p.m.—7:30 p.m.

Registration: TBD

Learn the basics of Japanese Martial arts.

Work on appropriate self-defense

techniques including: large motor

development social skills and promoting

positive behavior. Positive reinforcement

teaches students to focus, be disciplined,

have self-control and respect in a fun and

energizing way.

Cost: $25 per month

Days: Mondays Wednesdays & Fridays

Come Join the Fun with your little one. We will

dance, sing, work on social skills and make projects

to take home. Child & Me Classes help increase

your little one’s mobility, awareness, confidence,

language development, and strengthen the bond

between you and your child.

Cost: $15 per month

Days: Tuesdays

Ages: 10 Months—3 years old

Time: 11:30 a.m.—12:30 p.m.

Our Zumba class offers exotic rhythms set to high

energy Latin and international beats. All these

genres combined with easy-to-follow moves, create

a party-like atmosphere that will give you the

ultimate workout that you will love! All fitness

levels, all ages, and genders are welcome!!!

Cost: $2 per class
