Annual Fall Supper at Immaculate Conception Ukrainian Catholic

Church in Cooks Creek, TODAY, Sunday, October 2. Sittings at

12:30 pm, 2:00 pm, and 4:00 pm. Adults $14, 12 & under $7.00,

St. Michael’s Parish (400 Day Street) will host their Fall Supper on

Sunday, October 2, 2011 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. The cost of the

tickets is as follows: Adults $14.00, Children ages 6–12 $5.00, and

Children aged 5 and under eat for free. For tickets call Greg Hafichuk

at 222-7132.

UCWLC St. Joseph’s Branch invite you and your family to enjoy

Around Town….

35th Convention of the Ukrainian Catholic Council of the

Archeparchy of Winnipeg takes place at Canad Inns Polo Park. “A Call

to Holiness” - “Walking in the Footsteps of Christ” Keynote speakers

will be Most Rev. V. James Weisgerber, Roman Catholic Archbishop of

Winnipeg on October 14 from 6:00 -10:00 pm. Tickets are $10 each. On

October 15 Rev. Paul Chomnycky, OSBM Ukrainian Catholic Bishop of

Stamford, Connecticut will present at the banquet from 6:00 -10:00 pm.

You are cordially invited to attend the 60th anniversary celebrations of

the blessing and dedication of Sts. Vladimir and Olga Cathedral

which will be held on Sunday October 16th, 2011. Divine Liturgy will be

celebrated at 10:30 am followed by dinner banquet at Garden City Canad

In. Tickets for the banquet are $60.00 per person with a $25.00 tax

16th Annual Fall Christmas Craft and Bake Sale at Holy Eucharist

Parish Centre, 460 Munroe Avenue, Sat., October 29th from 9:00-3:00

pm. Admission $1.00 Children free.

For Sale: 2 fridges, ideal for the garage. $25.00 each. Please call

Elevator Fundraiser - Sobeys gift cards are once again for sale from

our parish as a fund raiser for the elevator project. Gift cards in the

amounts of $50 & $100 are available for sale in between the Sunday

services downstairs in the parish hall. These cards are great as gifts or for

your weekly shopping needs. Just in time for your Thanksgiving

celebrations! They can be used at all Sobey's stores and at our local Price

Choppers. Help us to help our parish.

Please remember in your prayers, those people of our parish who

are in the hospitals, Care Homes and those who are shut-ins, as

well as those who need our prayers. Remember, if you would like a

hospital visit or to have your name published in the bulletin, you or a

member of your family must call the parish office and let us know.

October is the month dedicated to the protection of the

Blessed Virgin Mary.

Moleben to the Mother of God will be celebrated every week

on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 pm.

We ask all our Girls of Mary and Altar Boys to make the effort

to come out and serve our dear Mother.

O most Holy Mother of God, save us!

Divine Liturgy intentions are currently being scheduled for

end of December and into 2012. If you would like to request

a Liturgy sooner than this, your intention will be forwarded to

Fr. Eugene Rudachek, who has daily Liturgies. Otherwise they

will be scheduled in the new year 2012.

(We cannot guarantee that a Divine Liturgy will be offered

on the date requested.)

Food donation drive in support of Welcome Home

Most needed items: canned fish canned fruit and vegetables canned stew, chilli, or beans peanut butter pasta rice cereal canned soup
