Welcome Week is full of activities to help you explore your Penn State home, connect with new friends and faculty, learn about academic opportunities, and discover something new. Many of the activities held during Welcome Week are required for new students; however you will have some choices, too. Don’t miss the Signature Events, indicated with a . Signature Events are either required or important enough that we think you should attend.

College Dean’s Meetings on Sunday are required for all new students including first-year, change-of-campus, and transfer students. Arrival Day activities on Saturday, August 23 are required for new, first-year students and include dinner, the President’s New Student Convocation, President’s Reception, and LateNight Penn State.

There are more than 100 programs to pick from during Welcome Week and programs continue throughout the first weeks of the semester. Welcome Week events are free to students, but make sure to have your id+ Card to swipe in at some events.
