Center/Station one would be a stain lab where you place some type of stain on a fabric and the students will try to remove it with a variety of products. The second station is a dry clean only lab.

Have students choose a floor covering from a home improvement web site, making sure to include resources, product i.d. code, price per square foot and installation cost. Students are to create a chart diagramming the cost of the flooring along with the cost of installation, and then add it together to show the total expense of the remodeling project. After calculations the students can find a second flooring option and repeat the previous steps. Have the student compare and analyze the findings. - Create a budget

They will turn in a beginning budget, the final budget with corrections, plus a written explanation of the process and insight as to why changes were made.
