PRESIDENT OF THE CZECH REPUBLIC: MILOS ZEMAN PRAHA

Milos Zeman was born on 28 September 1944. He’s the third and current President of the Czech Republic, in office since 8 March 2013. He is the first directly elected President in the Czech history.

TOMAS BERDYCH

Tomáš Berdych was born September 17, 1985 He is a Czech professional tennis player. He is the final of the 2010 Wimbledon Championships and World No.3.He defeated top the champion Roger Federer in the quarterfinals.

PETR CHECHPetr Čech was born on 20 May 1982. He’s 1,96 m tall and weighs 91.6 KgHe is a Czech footballer, who plays for Chelsea and the Czech Republic as a goalkeeper. He is best goalkeeper in the 2004–05, 2006–07 and 2007–08 seasons of the UEFA Champions League. He is considered to be one of the best and most respected goalkeepers of all times.

On 14 October 2006 he suffered the most serious injury of his career. In the match Reading v Chelsea after just 16 seconds from

the beginning of the meeting, he collided with an opponent Stephen Hunt, reporting a fracture to the skull that has endangered

his life. 98 days from the accident he returned to camp on January 20, 2007 against Liverpool, playing with a special protective helmet

foam, produced by Canterbury of New Zealand. Adidas protested because the helmet is not its production.

Gregor Johann Mendel Gregor Mendel was born in Hyncice (Czech Republic) in the 1822 and died in 1884.

Gregor studied at the monastery in Brno. He was an important naturalist and matematician.

Martina Navratilova was born in Prague (Czech Republic) on the October 18, 1956.

The original surname is Subertova: after the divorce of their parents (artina was only three), the mother Jana married Miroslav Navratil in 1962He became the first teacher of the future tennis champion.In 1975 she moved to the United States. During her career she won 18 grand slam titles in the individual, and 41 in doubles
