Eligibility: The majority (or unknown portion) of the project is identified as State of Good Repair type project, with the applicable funding identified as SMART SCALE. The applicant is vague as to the nature and cost of the intersection improvements. If they turn out to be repairs or replacements this puts the project at risk of screening out for eligibility. Readiness: All projects are required to have a project sketch that includes all proposed improvements, clearly differentiates existing and new infrastructure, and, when right-of-way is required, shows existing parcel lines. Sketch does not indicate the placement of bicycle parking or new transit shelter at the Park & Ride Project includes transit capital components, which requires a submission of a completed planning assessment with alternatives considered to improve the existing transportation network. Please provide planning study for expansion of FRED S4 services. All projects are required to have a clear and cohesive description, features, sketch, and estimate. One or more of these components did not meet that criteria. Project description is not supported with clear concept sketch. Please clearly define project, location of improvements and types of improvements. Sketch should include all major project features mapped to latest aerial imagery, including the sidewalk and any ROW acquisition. All projects are required to have a clear and cohesive description, features, sketch, and estimate. One or more of these components did not meet that criteria. Description should give length of sidewalk and give more specifics with regards to how many bus stops will be added or improved and what Park and Ride improvements will be made.

While resolutions are not required until October 30, staff must submit projects by August 17 which requires board action
FAMPO staff to continue working with localities and VDOT to complete selected applications by submission deadline of August 17
