Fanciful Dragonflies Shawl Free Project Instructions Helpful Notions: • Prewound bobbins (PB24W) • Translucent Foundation Paper (TP100) • Klassé Embroidery Needles, size 75/11 (A6-18075) • Klassé Metallic Embroidery Needles, size 80/12 (A6-14580) • Fine line erasable marking pen (FL328) • Sewer's Fix It Tape (SFT4) Helpful Tips: • Stabilize the scarf using Terial Magic, a spray-on stabilizer. • Mark the shawl ends and center back for placement guides using an erasable marking pen: - Mark center of each shawl end by folding the shawl in half widthwise with edges even and mark along the fold line. en fold again to mark the quarter sections. - Mark a line 1½" up from the edge of the shawl ends. Align embroideries along this line. - Mark center back of the shawl by foldine the shawl in half with lengthwise edges even. Mark along the fold line. - Mark a line 2¾" from the top edge of the shawl. Align embroideries along this line. • Use the Wash-Away Self-Adhesive Non-Woven Stabilizer in your hoop rather than hooping the fabric, following the manufac- turer's instructions. • All design components are pictured on the following pages. Use the images as guides for placement of the designs. Rotations noted are approximate; use templates for accurate design placement. Each grouping indicates the order in which the various designs making up that grouping should be stitched. • Design placement and alignment tip: To ensure proper placement and alignment of designs, we recommend that you print templates for each of the designs used (as noted on the following pages) and arrange the embroidery composition on the shawl. Although you can use conventional printer paper to print templates, using Translucent Foundation Paper will allow you to see through the paper, making it easier to align the designs. Be sure to trim away excess paper around stitch field for easier arranging. Once you are satisfied with the placement, tape them in place. Note: e low tack adhesive of Sewer's Fix-It Tape allows the tape to be removed easily without leaving adhesive residue on your fabric.
