History

First league was created in 1962 by an Oakland Raiders executive

George Blanda was the first number one selection ever.(a Raider at the time)

Called the GOPPPL(Greater Oakland Professional Pigskin Procrastinators League)

Drafts

Every player in the NFL is eligible to be drafted.

A snake draft is most common.

No two teams can own the same player

Add/Drop Players

There are players who aren’t on teams termed Free Agents.

Owner can drop a player from their own team and add a free agent.

Waivers

Just like in real football

Owner to owner offered trades, and need to be accepted within a certain time frame

Rosters

In a standard league, owners start:

1 Quarterback, 2 running backs, 3 wide receivers, 1 tight end, one kicker, and one team defense.

6 players on ‘bench’

Scoring

By yards or touchdowns.
