faq on motor tool!
TRANSCRIPT
1 WHAT TYPE OF DATA IS NEEDED TO USETHE SYSTEM?
Rated Parameters of the Motor as mentioned on
the name plate (Volts, Amps, PF, Eff %) are required
for motor configuration.
Measured parameters such as Volts, Amps, PF,KVA
and KW are required for calculation of Operational
Efficiency Index and Loading Index.
2DOES I T TAKE MECHANICAL DATA TOO?WHAT ABOUT VIBRATIONS ANDHYSTERESIS LOSS?
Our algorithms currently do not take into
consideration any mechanical parameters.
Operational Efficiency Index is calculated
statistically based on the deviations between rated
and measured parameters.
3 IS I T AVAILABLE FOR PUMP TOO?
In the next couple of months we would be
upgrading the system to take into account the
system efficiencies of motor driven systems like
Fans, Pumps and Compressors.
4 WHICH TYPE OF LOSSES DOES I TACCOUNT WHILE CALCULATINGOPERATING EFFIC IENCY?
Operational Efficiency Index is calculated
statistically based on the deviations between rated
and measured parameters.
5 WHAT IS THE FORMULA FOR CALCULATINGO .E? IS THIS MODEL CERTIF IED?
www.motor-tool.com is a proprietary tool, formulas
and logics used within the application cannot be
shared. Best way to test is the same is to enter your
data and see the results! You can give the tool a test
here motor-tool.com/tools
6WE HAVE EXCEL SHEETS WHICH CAN GIVEUS ALL THE CALCULATIONS , THEN WHYSHOULD WE USE THIS ONLINE TOOL?
www.motor-tool.com helps you do more with your
data (in comparison to excel sheets) in a way that is
Faster, Better and Cheaper! Give it a try and you will
not work on excel sheets anymore!
7IS I T MOTOR MAINTENANCE MANAGEMENTSYSTEM OR LOSS / EFFIC IENCYCALCULATION SYSTEM?
It’s a Motor Performance Data Management &
Analytics Tool that helps users utilize
performance/maintenance data, gain action-able
insights to take decisions on energy efficiency
measures!
