    sky and nothing of it goes upwards (i.e. supplication is notacknowledged) until you recitealt upon your Beloved Prophet .(Sunan-ut-Tirmi, vol. 2, pp. 28, ad 486)

    sent Sayyidun Sriya

    towardsthe land of Nawand for Jihad (Holy War), designating him asthe commander-in-chief. When Sayyidun Sriya was at war with the unbelievers, Sayyidun Umar suddenly ordered whilst delivering the sermon at the holy pulpitof Masjid-un-Nabaw, i.e. O Sriya! Turn your

    back towards the mountain. The people present in the Masjidwere amazed, for Sayyidun Sriya was sent inJihad hundreds of miles away at the land of Nawand; thenwhy and how did Amr-ul-Mu`minn called him today!

    The confusion removed when the envoy of Sayyidun Sriya came and reported that while confronting the

    unbelievers on the battlefield, when the signs of defeat were

    obvious to us, there heard a voice, O Sriya! Turn your backtowards the mountain. Sayyidun Sriya said, Lo!This is the voice of Umar Frq-e-Aam . Then he(Sayyidun Sriya ) immediately ordered the armyto be rearranged by turning their back towards the mountain.Thereafter the Muslims re-attacked the unbelievers violently; at

    once the battle turns and after a while the Islamic army crushedthe enemys army. The unbelievers had no option but to fleethe battlefield. The Islamic army hoisted the victory flag1.

    Dear Islamic brothers! By virtue of this miraculous wonderexhibited by Sayyidun Umar Frq-e-Aam , wecan derive several Madan pearls of knowledge and wisdom.

    1. Amr-ul-Mu`minn Sayyidun Umar Frq-e-Aam observed the battlefield of Nawand and

    watched its situation though he was hundreds of miles awayand then advised the strategic solution of the difficultiesto the commander-in-chief of Islamic force. By this wecome to know that one should never consider the power

    of hearing and seeing of Allahs beloveds equal to that of

    the ordinary people, rather it should be believed thatAllah has bestowed tremendous power of seeing andlistening to His beloved bondsmen. And the vigour of theireyes, ears and other organs is so matchless and incomparableand they exhibit such miraculous wonders that can be callednothing but Karmat.

    2. Sayyidun Frq-e-Aams voice reached hundreds of milesaway at the place of Nawand and all the troops heard that.

    3. By virtue of Sayyidun Umar Bin Khab , amemorable victory was bestowed upon the Muslims byAllah in that battle.(Karmt a ba, pp. 74-76; Mirqt-ul-

    Introduction of Sayyidun Umar Frq-e-AamSayyidun Umars patronymic is Abaf and his title isFrq-e-Aam. According to a narration, in the sixth year of

    person to embrace Islam. In fact, he embraced Islam

    by virtue of the supplication made by the Beloved and BlessedProphet in his favour. By his accepting Islamthe Muslims became very pleased and they got such a greatsupport that the Beloved and Blessed Prophet offered al openly in congregation with the Muslims insidethe sacred aram. He remained engaged in Islamic

    expeditions against wicked unbelievers with his splendid efforts.He contributed in all Islamic campaigns and in allstrategic decisions of war and peace headed by the Noble Prophet

    as a faithful minister and comrade. SayyidunAb Bakr iddq nominated Sayyidun Frq-e-A am as the caliph after him. He executed all the responsibilities of caliphate marvellously andproved to be the worthy successor of the Beloved and BlessedProphet .

    One of the wicked unbelievers named Ab Ll Frawz (a fireworshipper) attacked Frq-e-Aam with a daggerduring alt-ul-Fajr. He succumbed to the fatalinjury and got the honour of martyrdom on the third day ofthe attack. At the time of death his blessed age was 63.

    Sayyidun uayb led his funeralal. On Sunday,the 1st of Mu arram-ul- arm, 24 ijr, this great companionof the Great Prophet was buried beside Sayyidun Ab Bakr

    iddq who had been resting beside the Beloved and

    Blessed Prophet . (Ar-Riy -un-Na ara f Manqib

    Exceptional nearnessSayyidun iddq-e-Akbar and Sayyidun Frq-e-Aam

    both were bestowed with distinguished nearnessto the Holy Prophet in their worldly life aswell as after the death; therefore, Sh Imm Amad Raz Khn

    has stated: Ma bb Rab-e-Arsh ay is sabz qubbay mayn Pel mayn jalwa-g Atq-o-Umar k ay

    Sadayn k qirn ay pel-ay m mayn Jurma kiye ayn tray tajall qamar k ay

    A man of wonders

    After Sayyidun Ab Bakr , Sayyidun Umar BinKha b is the most eminent of all companions ofthe Holy Prophet . He is a paragonof excellence and miraculous wonders. In addition to otherespecial attributes, Allah exhibited several wonders throughhim, thus distinguishing him from his peers.

    Karmat is realitySince the Prophets era to the present times, there has been nodisagreement among the true believers regarding the validity ofKarmat (miraculous wonder). All have been of the unanimousopinion that the wonders exhibited by the companions ofthe Prophet and Awliy (friends) of Allah are truthful. Themanifestation of wonders by Awliy has taken place in all agesand the same will continue till the Day of the Resurrection,

    Definition of KarmatNow some more wonders exhibited by SayyidunUmar will be mentioned but first read the definitionof Karmat. On page 58 ofBar-e-Sharat , volume 1 [the

    department of Dawat-e-Islami],adr-ush-Shara, Badr-u-

    arqa, Allma Mauln Muft Muhammad Amjad AlA am has stated: A supernatural activitymanifested from a Wal is called Karmat.(Bar-e-Sharat)

    Most eminent among Awliy of AllahThe Islamic scholars are unanimous on this pointthat the honourable companions of the Prophet are the mosteminent Awliy of Allah. As for other Awliy Kirm ,however high rank of Wilyat they may acquire, they can neverever reach the level of Wilyat that a companion ofthe Holy Prophet possesses. Allah hasbestowed such an elevated status to the companions of MustafaKarm and has bestowed such magnificentmarvels and excellence upon these blessed luminaries thatcannot be expected for other Awliy of Allah.

    No doubt that the wonders exhibited bya ba have not been reported in a great number as compared to thatof other Awliy Kirm . One must realize that theabundance of wonders is not the basis of superiority of Wilyatbecause Wilyat actually is the name of nearness to Allah .The more a person possesses the divine nearness; the higher

    will be his rank of friendship with Allah .

    The companions were bestowed with exclusive

    attributes by virtue of the Prophets company. This is why thenearness and proximity possessed by these holy men in thecourt of Allah cannot be availed by other Awliy Kirm

    . Although the events of wonders related to theProphets companions are less in number yet their rank of Wilyatis higher than that of all other Awliy Kirm .

    Ye rz Khud say ayn, Khud in say ay rz Ky kaiye a ba k Karmt k lam

    Letter to the River NileOn pages 56-57 ofSavni Karbal [the 192-page publicationof Maktaba-tul-Madna, the publishing department of Dawat-e-

    Islami], adr-ul-Afil, Allma Mauln Sayyid MuhammadNamuddn Murdbd has mentioned an event:When Egypt was conquered, one day the people of Egyptrequested Sayyidun Amr Bin : O our chief!There is a ritual regarding our River Nile that it does not keepon flowing steadily until we perform it. He asked,

    What is that? They replied, We take a virgin girl from her

    parents, decorate her with an elegant dress and fine jewellery

    and then hurl her into the River Nile. Sayyidun Amr Bin said, This cant be done in Islam and Islam abolishessuch ancient non-sensible rituals. Thus that ritual was abandoned.The flow of the river became slower and slower and ultimatelythe people intended to migrate from that place. Noticing this,Sayyidun Amr Bin wrote down the entire

    situation to the second caliph Sayyidun Umar Bin Khab . In its reply, the caliph wrote, You did right. Surely,Islam eradicates these types of rituals. There is an epistle withthis letter of mine, put it into the River Nile.

    When the letter reached Sayyidun Amr Bin and he took out that epistle from the letter, he found that it waswritten in it: O River Nile! Do not flow if you flow of your ownaccord and if Allah makes you flow, I supplicate to AlmightyAllah to make you flow. Sayyidun Amr Bin put that epistle into the River Nile. Within a night the waterlevel rose by 16 yards and that ritual got completely abolishedin Egypt.(Al-A ma li Abish-Shaykh Al-A ban, pp. 318, ad 940)

    Dear Islamic brothers! One comes to know from this event thatthe authority of Sayyidun Umar Frq-e-Aam

    was prevailing even over the rivers water and the rivers were

    also under his subjugation. By virtue of the purity of mn (faith)

    of Sayyidun Umar Bin Khab who acquired thatfrom the wonderful company of the Most Blessed Prophet of Allah , the people of Egypt got deliverance

    from that bad custom.

    Unlawful customs and miserable condition of theMuslimsDear Islamic brothers! Like the deplorable custom that wasprevalent in Egypt to keep the Nile flowing, several absurd andprohibited rituals are existing in this era and these un-Islamicrituals are throwing Muslims into the deep abyss of destructiondiverting the Muslims away from the path of the Sunna of theGreat Prophet .

    From pages 12 to 16 ofIslm Zindag [the 170-page publicationof Maktaba-tul-Madna, the publishing department of Dawat-e-

    A mad Yr Khn regarding bad customs and the

    miserable condition of the Muslims is as follows: There cannotbe a single sensible soul today that is not shocked to see thepresent miserable condition of the Muslims these times andtheir prevalent backwardness. And there is not a single eye thatdoes not burst into tears on seeing their poverty, insolvencyand unemployment. The reign was lost by them, they became

    deprived of wealth, their honour and dignity came to an end.They are suffering from all types of maladies these times.Observing these conditions, anxiety reaches its peak; but dearfriends! Only crying will not help, rather it is necessary to ponderover the remedy. We must think of a few things for the sake ofremedy:

    1. What the actual disease is?2. What is the cause behind it? Why did the disease come

    into being?3. What is its remedy?4. What are the precautions in applying that remedy?

    If you ponder over these four points, you would understand thatthe cure is easy. Several leaders of our nation and CEOs of thecountry put up the task of curing the Muslim nation but whatthey did was all futile; whenever some righteous man ofAllah advised the Muslims with the correct remedy then

    some of the silly Muslims made fun of him, or insulted him. The

    nation did not pay heed to sincere reformers. The Muslims lost

    their kingdom, honour, wealth and dignity merely because ofbeing neglectful to Sharat-e-Mustafa . Ourlifestyle is no more an Islamic style. The cause of this disaster isthat now we neither have the fear of Allah nor we care forour shameful condition with which we will be presented in thecourt of the Holy Prophet . We are totally

    heedless of the afterlife. Ala rat

    , the greatreformer of the Umma (Muslim nation) has described samesituation in his couplet as:

    Dn law mayn kon tujay, shab ub tak son tujaySharm-e-Nab, khauf-e-Khud, ye b nan wo b nan

    You lose the day in useless activities; it has become your routineto sleep from evening to morning

    Neither you feel shame from the Prophet, nor do you possess fear of Allah

    ( adiq-e-Bakhshish)

    Our Masjid are deserted, cinemas and shows are crowded bythe Muslims, all types of evils are present in the Muslim society,prohibited rituals have become established among us; how canwe restore our honour!

    Three diseases

    The actual disease of the Muslims is non-compliance tothe commandments of Allah and Sunnat-e-Mustafa

    , now this disease has brought many otherdiseases. There are three big diseases of the Muslims: The firstone is the fabrication of new beliefs and the blind inclination ofthe Muslims towards such disbeliefs. Second is mutual conflicts,

    enmities and prosecutions among Muslims. Thirdly, un-Islamicand useless customs invented by unscrupulous people. Thesethree diseases have destroyed the Muslims, deprived them oftheir homes, made them debtors and in short, threw them intothe deep pit of misery.

    Remedy of the above diseasesThe cure for the first disease is to refrain from the company ofheretics. Adopt the company of that Sunn scholar by virtue ofwhich your devotion towards the Beloved and Blessed Prophet

    may fortify and the spirit for compliance ofthe Shara (Islamic law) may strengthen.

    The cure for the second disease: Usually there are two causes ofall discords; first is wrath and arrogance and the second isheedlessness from the Islamic laws. Every person desires toremain superior over all and expects from all to respect his rightsbut he himself does not care for the rights of others. If pride

    and arrogance are eliminated from our nature, humbleness and

    humility are developed instead; if every one of us takes care of

    the rights of others; then there will never be any likelihood ofdiscords, .

    The third disease in the Muslim society is the cancer of ruinousrituals that are practiced at different occasions from the birthof a child till death which have weakened the economics of theMuslims. Due to such rituals at wedding ceremonies, thousandsof Muslims properties, houses, shops, etc. become indebted ininterest based loans and many wealthy families have to shift intorented houses. This tribulation of my nation struck my heartwith grief. I intended to provide some service for them. Thesefew drops of ink (used in this writing) are in fact the drops ofmy tears. May Allah reform this nation by virtue of thesewords!

    I have felt that many people are tired of these worthless ritualsof weddings and other customs. But they are afraid of taunts ofthe family members and disgracefulness in the family thats whythey try to fulfil these absurd rituals in any way even by taking

    loan. There must be some courageous man who, bearing thetaunts of everyone, could reject all prohibited andarm(forbidden) rituals and revive Sunnat-e-Mustafa as the person who revives a Sunna will get the awb (reward)of 100 martyrs, why because the martyr leaves the world beingstruck with only one or two wounds of a sword but a pious man

    of Allah receives injuries from peoples tongues throughout his

    lifetime. The prevalent rituals are of two types: Those, which

    are forbidden by Shara, others are devastating and many atime for fulfilling them, a Muslim might be indulged in interestbased loans though dealing in interest is a grave sin. In thisway, these rituals lead to many tribulations; hence it is better torefrain from these.(Islm Zindag, pp. 12-16)

    O silly, do not commit sins in marriagesDo not be prepared to destroy your own home

    Get rid of all these wrong rituals and traditionsVow to follow the SunnaDo a lot of remembrance of Allah and Mustafa

    Make your heart Madna by the remembrance of them

    Conversation with the dead

    Sayyidun Umar Frq-e-Aam went to visit thegrave of a pious young man and said: O man! Allah has said:

    And for one who fears to stand before his Rab, are two Gardens.

    [Kanz-ul-mn (Translation of Quran)] (Part 27, Sra Ar-Ra mn, Verse 46)

    Tell me O young man! What is your condition in the grave?That pious young man replied loudly two times from inside thegrave by taking the name of Sayyidun Frq-e-Aam :

    i.e.my Rab has bestowed me withthose two gardens.

    May Allah have mercy upon them and forgive us for theirsake without accountability!

    ! What a great rank of Sayyidun Umar Frq-e-A am is that by the blessings of Allah he

    got awareness of the condition of the dead. By thisevent, one also comes to know that the person who spends a

    virtuous life and trembles with fear of Allah and fears to

    stand in the sacred court of Allah , will deserve two

    Paradises by the grace of Allah . Congratulations to thosewho worship Allah in their youth and have the fear ofAllah that when on the Day of Resurrection the scorchingsun would be at one and a quarter miles away, there will be nosource to prevent from that great scorching heat except theshade of the Throne of Allah , so Allah will bestow

    that fortunate person with the blessed shade of His throne.

    The fortunate ones...On page 20 ofSya-e-Arsh kis kis ko milay g? [the 88-pagepublication of Maktaba-tul-Madna, the publishing departmentof Dawat-e-Islami], it is stated by Sayyidun Imm JalluddnSuy Shfi : Sayyidun Salmn wrotea letter to Sayyidun Ab Dard that the Muslimswho possess these qualities would be in the shade of the DivineThrone. Two of them are these:

    1. One who is brought up in a condition such that hiscompany, youth and strength are spent in the deeds thatbring pleasure and favour of Allah and

    2. One who invoked the remembrance of Allah andHis fear moved him to tears.(Mu annaf Ibn Ab Shayba, vol. 8, pp. 179, ad 12)

    Sudden appearance of two lionsA person was looking for Sayyidun Umar Frq-e-Aam

    . Someone told him that he might be sleeping farfrom the town. That person left the town and reached thesuburb to look for him and finally he found Sayyidun UmarFrq-e-Aam who was sleeping on the groundresting his head over his whip. The person took his sword toattack Frq-e-Aam but all of a sudden two lionsappeared from the unseen and rushed towards the person. Seeingthis horrible scene, he screamed out in terror. Sayyidun UmarFrq-e-Aam awoke due to the noise of his terrifyingscream. The person stated the entire event and embraced Islamin the hands of Frq-e-Aam .

    And command your household to establish prayer, and yourselfbe steadfast in it; We do not ask any sustenance from you; We will provide you sustenance; and the excellent result is for piety.

    did not find Sayyidun Sulaymn Abama in the al of Fajr. Frq-e-Aam

    headed toward the market. The home of Sayyidun Sulaymn was on the way. He visited his mother

    Sayyidatun Shif and said that Sulaymn Abama was not present during thealt-ul-Fajr. She said, He

    kept offering supererogatoryal all the night and then sleptin the end. Sayyidun Frq-e-Aam said, To me,

    offering alt-ul-Fajr in congregation values more than offering

    Dear Islamic brothers! Did you notice that Sayyidun Frq-e-A am visited his home to get the information! Itwas also learnt that ifalt-ul-Fajr is at risk due to offering

    Nawfil the entire night or participating in the gathering ofikr-o-Naat or a Sunna-inspiring Ijtim, it is mandatory that,in order to perform alt-ul-Fajr in congregation, one shouldavoid such Mustaab acts.

    Beloved of Frq-e-Aam A saying of Frq-e-Aam : The person who disclosesmy fault to me is dearer to me.

    The bowl of honey

    A bowl full of honey was presented to Sayyidun Umar Frq-e-A am . Holding the bowl in his hand, SayyidunFrq-e-Aam said thrice: If I drink it, itsdeliciousness will soon end but accountability for it will remain.He then gave it to someone else.

    Bear the loss of the mortal world

    Sayyidun Umar Frq-e-Aam said: I havepondered about it; when I contemplate doing something formy worldly life, there seems to suffer loss in the afterlife. Andwhen I intend to do something for the afterlife, I suspect loss inmy worldly life. So, this is the fact, hence you should (comparingthe loss of the afterlife) bear the loss of this mortal world.(Az-Zud lil Imm A mad, pp. 152)

    Frq-e-A ams fear of Allah Dear Islamic brothers! Despite being destined to Paradise,Sayyidun Frq-e-Aam would weep bitterly outof the fear of Allah due to which two dark lines haddeveloped on his refulgent face. Thus, On page 123 of the bookAllah Wlon k Btayn , volume 1 [the 217-page publication ofMaktaba-tul-Madna, the publishing department of Dawat-e-Islami], an awe-inspiring feature of his lifestyle has beenmentioned: It is reported by Sayyidun Abdull Bin s

    Strange way of alarming himself of hellfire

    Sayyidun asan Bar has mentioned: SayyidunUmar Bin Khab would sometimes extend hishands near the fire and question himself, O son of Khab! Doyou have courage to bear this fire?(Manqib Umar Bin Al-Kha bli Ibn Al-Jawz, pp. 154)

    Even if a lamb dies...Amr-ul-Mu`minn, Sayyidun Al hasmentioned, Once I saw Amr-ul-Mu`minn Sayyidun UmarBin Khab heading towards somewhere on a camelhurriedly, I said: O Amr-ul-Mu`minn! Where are you headingto? He replied: A camel donated in charity has fled

    away and I am going to look for it; even if a lamb would die onthe bank of the River Euphrates, Umar will be questioned aboutit on the Day of Resurrection.(ibid, pp. 153)

    Recall Hell abundantlyAmr-ul-Mu`minn, Sayyidun Umar Frq-e-Aam

    used to say: Recall Hell abundantly since it is extremely hot and very deep and its hammers are made up of iron (with which thesinners will be struck). (Sunan-ut-Tirmi, vol. 4, pp. 260, ad 2584)

    Heavenly palace of Frq-e-Aam According to the glad-tiding from the Prophet of mankind,the Peace of our heart and mind, the Most Generous and Kind

    , Sayyidun Frq-e-Aam has beenguaranteed Paradise and he is from amongst AsharaMubashshara. Therefore, Sayyidun Jbir Bin Abdull

    reported that the Great Prophet said: I entered into Paradise. There I saw a palace. I inquired,Whose palace is this? Angel replied, Umars. I wished to enterit to have a view of it but (O Umar) I avoided for the sake ofyour modesty. Listening to it, Sayyidun Umar said,O Prophet of Allah! My parents be sacrificed for you, how canI consider any reservations in your case?

    The meaning of the first couplet is: By the Owner of the Great

    Throne! Whatsoever a person gets is actually the bestowal fromthe portal of the Noble Prophet because in boththe worlds, adaqa of the Holy Prophet isbeing distributed. The meaning of the second couplet is thatthose who have sacrificed their souls for the devotion of theBeloved Prophet will enjoy a peaceful sleep after

    death because the great devotion to the Beloved and BlessedProphet is a powerful remedy i.e. it is a veryeffective and beneficial cure.

    Strike of whip terminated the earthquakeOnce upon a time there occurred an earthquake in MadnaMunawwara and the earth started joltingseverely. Observing that, Sayyidun Umar Bin Khab became furious and while striking his whip on the earth, he

    said, O earth! Stay still. Did I notmaintain equity and justice on you? Hearing the infuriated order,the earth became still and the earthquake finished.

    Imm A mad Raz Khn has said:

    Al-e-Sunnat k ay bay pr A b-e- uzr Najam ayn aur no ay itrat Raslull k

    Al-e-Sunnat are the successful onesFor A b-e- uzr are the stars and the progeny of the Prophet

    is the ship( adiq-e-Bakhshish)

    This couplet means that Al-e-Sunnat are successful becausethe companions of the Beloved and Blessed Prophet

    are like stars for them and the blessed progeny

    of the Prophet is like a ship for them.

    The dead person screamed; the people ran awayOn page 246 ofUyn-ul- ikyt , volume 1 [the 413-pagepublication of Maktaba-tul-Madna, the publishing departmentof Dawat-e-Islami], Sayyidun Imm Abdul Ramn Bin AlJawz narrated that Sayyidun Khalaf Bin Tamm

    has reported: Sayyidun Abulu ayb Bashr has stated: I was a trader and by the grace of

    the most Merciful Allah , I was quite affluent. I had all thecomforts of a luxurious life and I would mostly stay in the citiesof Iran. Once, my labourer told me that there was an unburied

    dead body lying in an inn with no one to bury it. Listening to

    that, I felt sorry for the helplessness of the dead person and

    with an aim of helping him I reached the inn in order to carryout the funeral procedures. I saw the dead body lying with someraw bricks placed on its belly. I put a sheet cloth over him; hiscompanions were sitting near the corpse. They told me that theman was very pious and a righteous person; they did not haveenough money to arrange his funeral processions. After listening

    to that, I sent a man with money to purchase a shroud andanother man to dig the grave and the rest of us started heatingwater to bathe him and preparing the bricks for the grave.

    We were busy in those activities when suddenly the dead bodymoved and sat, the bricks fell down from his belly then hestarted screaming in a very terrible voice, Alas, the fire! Alas,the loss! Alas, the destruction! Alas, the fire! Alas, the loss!Alas, the destruction! His companions escaped away seeingthat terrible scene. But I collected my senses and went nearhim (the dead), shook him holding his arm and asked, Whoare you and what is wrong with you? He spoke out, I was aresident of Kufa and unfortunately I adopted the company of

    the people who would abuse Sayyiduniddq-e-Akbar andSayyidun Frq-e-Aam ( ), due to theirwicked company I would also abuse the two blessed luminaries,Sayyidun iddq-e-Akbar and Sayyidun Frq-e-Aam( ). Sayyidun Abulu ayb Bashr has further said: Hearing that, I begged repentance and asked

    forgiveness and said to him, O ill-fated man! Then surely you

    deserve this severe torment. But tell me how you have been alive

    after death. So he started saying, My good deeds did not benefitme. Due to disrespect of the blessed companions ,I was dragged towards Hell after death and my abode there wasshown to me and I was told, Now you will be made alive againso that you may inform your heretic friends about yourtormenting end and tell them how painful torment the person

    possessing the enmity with Allahs virtuous bondsmen woulddeserve in the Hereafter. When you finish telling them aboutyourself, you will be again thrown into your actual abode(Hell). Thus I have been given life again to tell this so that theblasphemers of the Prophets companions may seek admonitionfrom this happening and abstain from their blasphemies;otherwise the one who will commit blasphemy against theseblessed luminaries will suffer a bad end like that of mine.

    After saying this he again died. Meanwhile, the grave had beenmade ready for burial and the shroud had been arranged, but Isaid, I will not carry out the funeral proceedings of such an ill-fated man who had been a blasphemer of Shaykhayn Karmayni.e. Sayyidun iddq-e-Akbar and Sayyidun Frq-e-Aam

    and I even do not consider it good to stay nearhim anymore. Saying this, I left.

    After sometime a person informed me that his heretic friendsgave bath to him and offered the funeralal. No one else

    participated in the funeralal. Sayyidun Khalaf Bin Tamm

    said, I asked Sayyidun Abulu ayb Bashr

    : Were you present there at the time of thatevent? He replied, Yes! I saw him with my own eyes revivingagain and heard his conversation with my own ears. Bylistening to that, Sayyidun Khalaf Bin Tamm said, Now I will surely give the information of this bad end ofthe blasphemer of the Prophets companions to the people so

    that they may learn lesson and take care for their afterlife.(Uyn-ul- ikyt (Arabic), pp. 152)

    May Allah secure us from blasphemy and disrespect of thecompanions and bestow us with their true love.May Allah the Most Affectionate keep all of us in Hisprotection and keep us away from impudent and disrespectfulones and may we never commit even the slightest blasphemy!

    O Allah protect me from disrespectful ones!

    And never let me commit any disrespectfulness(Wasil-e-Bakhshish, pp. 193)

    By Allah ! The end of blasphemers is very painful and an

    admonitory one. These accursed would become a lesson ofadmonition for all. Those who utter profanities against Allah and His Prophet or dare abuse the eminenceof the blessed companions and Awliy, are not only destinedfor destruction and ruination in the Hereafter but they alsobecome admonitory symbol as disgrace and indignity strike

    them in this worldly life as well and true Muslims refrain fromtheir corrupt beliefs and mischief. May Allah keep usrespectful of His Beloveds and make us adopt the company ofrespecting persons (i.e. the devotees of the Prophet)! MayAllah prevent us from the company of the disrespectfulones and the blasphemers!

    Az Khud j-m taufq-e-adab Bay-adab ma rm gasht az fazl-e-Rab

    Belief of Al-e-Sunnat about Frq-e-Aam

    What is the belief of the Al-e-Sunnat about Sayyidun UmarFrq-e-Aam ? It is essential to know about it.On page 241 ofBar-e-Sharat , volume 1 [the 1250-pagepublication of Maktaba-tul-Madna, the publishing departmentof Dawat-e-Islami], it is stated: After the Blessed Prophets

    all human beings and the jinn, then (after him) is the excellenceof Sayyidun Umar Frq-e-Aam then Umn-e-Ghan then Sayyidun Al . A personwho mentions Sayyidun Al as superior toiddq or Frq is heretic and has gone astray.

    a ba mayn ay afzal azrat-e- iddq k rutba ay un kay bad al martaba Frq-e-A am k

    Amongst companions, the status of iddq-e-Akbar is themost excellent

    After him, dignified is the stature of Frq-e-A am

    On page 974 of the translation of the Holy Quran Kanz-ul- mnwith Khazin-ul-Irfn published by Maktaba-tul-Madna,the publishing department of Dawat-e-Islami, Allah hasordered in Sra Al-add, Part 27, Verse 29:

    And that the munificence is in Allahs Hand (control) He bestowsto whomever He wills; and Allah is Extremely Munificent.

    ruling regarding accompanying the heretics, he

    replied: It is arm to sit in the company of the heretics, asthere is a high risk of becoming heretic. Friendship with themis a fatal poison for ones faith. The Prophet of Allah has said: i.e.keep them away from you and run away from them, lest theymake you go astray or put you into heresy .

    (Muqaddama a Muslim, pp. 9, ad 7)

    And the one who relies on his Nafs (lower self), in fact relies ona big liar. i.e.if the Nafs) commits something by swearing then it is the biggest liar but notwhen he only promises [without swearing].) In a a ad itis narrated: When Dajjl will appear, some (people) will go to seehim for amusement, considering what will harm us as we aresteadfast in our faith. They will become his followers (uponapproaching Dajjl).(Sunan Ab Dwd, vol. 4, pp. 157, ad 4319)

    Calling towards righteousness even at the time of deathWhen Amr-ul-Mu`minn Sayyidun Umar Bin Khab was attacked severely, a young man entered his blessed

    presence to console him and said, O Amr-ul-Mu`minn! Thereare glad tidings for you from Allah since you excelled inIslam as you were privileged with the companionship of theHoly Prophet .     neither do I owe someone, nor does someone owe me. When

    the young man was moving to leave, his clothes were touchingthe ground. Amr-ul-Mu`minn said, Bring himback to me. When he came back, Amr-ul-Mu`minn advised,O my son! Keep your clothes off the ground; for it will keepthem clean and Allah also likes it.

    Offered al even when seriously injuredWhen Sayyidun Umar Frq-e-Aam was attackedbrutally, it was said, O Amr-ul-Mu`minn! (Its time to offer)al. He said, O Yes. Listen! The one who misses

    his al, he has no contribution in Islam. Then SayyidunUmar Frq-e-Aam offered al although he

    was seriously injured.(Kitb-ul-Kabir, pp. 22)

    12 Madan pearls about drinking of water

    1. Two blessed sayings of Mustafa :

    a) Do not drink (water) all at once like a camel does,rather drink in two or three steps (while breathing).Recite before you drink and invoke after you have finished.

    (Sunan-ut-Tirmi, vol. 3, pp. 352, ad 1892)

    b) The Holy Prophet has forbidden tobreathe into the vessel or to blow into it.

    (Sunan Ab Dwd, vol. 3, pp. 474, ad 3728)

    The renowned commentator of the Holy Quran,akm-ul-Ummat Muft Amad Yr Khn

    has said in his commentary of thisad: To breatheinto the vessel is an act of animals. Moreover, thebreath, sometimes, may be poisonous therefore oneshould breathe moving the mouth away from theutensil (i.e. to take the mouth away from the glasswhile breathing). Do not cool down the hot milk byblowing, wait for some time, and drink it when it is abit cool. (Mirt, vol. 6, pp. 77) But there is no harm to blowby reciting any verse of the Quran oralt-Alan-Nabetc. with the intention of cure.

    2. Recite before drinking.3. Drink water in small sips as if sucked in large sips, liver

    impairment takes place.

    4. Drink water in three breaths.

    5. Drink water with the right hand and being seated.

    6. If Wu is done by taking water in some ewer etc. thendrinking the leftover water is a cure of 70 diseases because itresembles water of Zamzam. Besides these two (the leftoverwater of Wu and water of Zamzam), it is Makr todrink any other water whilst standing.(Extracted from: Fatw Razawiyya, vol. 4, pp. 575; vol. 21, pp. 669)Drink these two

    waters whilst standing, facing towards the Qibla.

    7. Check before drinking that no harmful thing is present init. (It f-us-Sda liz-Zubayd, vol. 5, pp. 594)

    empty glass, some drops of water will be found collected atthe bottom trickling down from its inner sides, drink themas well.
