FARM BILL HACKATHON
11.3.11
The Farm Bill is one of those essential, but painfully tedious documents, with huge implications for society, dictating what we eat, how much it costs, who grows it and how. On December 3, Food+Tech Connect and Gojee are bringing together journalists, technologists, designers, policy makers, and food data specialists to develop tools and visualizations that help the public better understand how the Farm Bill impacts our lives. Goals: 1-Arm news media, organizations and anyone who wants to convey the complexities of the Farm Bill with tools and visualizations that the public can relate to. 2- Develop toolkit allowing others to host their own hackathons and to understand how to communicate with technologists and designers.
