Intelligent design and robust construction makes the Logic Contact 2000 weed wiper a safe, environmentally responsible and cost elective method of controllingweeds such as nettle, thistle, rush, bracken etc. By applying chemical only to the tall target plants, leaving the grass (and most importantly any clover present)unaffected, Contact 2000 is able to deliver excellent results using only a fraction of the chemical required for conventional spraying of the same area.With a standardsingle unit width of 2.5m Contact 2000 can cover approx. 1 acre per hour for every 1mph of forward speed up to a recommended maximum forward speed of 7mph.Where higher work rates are required or larger areas are to be treated, the 2.5m units can be used in 2 or 3 gang formations to cover up to 7.5m. These used behindmore powerful ATVs or larger on road vehicles cover up to 20 acres (8Ha) per hour on flat ground and up to 12 acres (4.8Ha) per hour on difficult terrain. Wheelsmounted inboard result in a relatively narrow overall width allowing for access through the smaller 10’ gateways typical in upland areas.

APPLICATOR BRUSH: KEY TO THE SYSTEMContact 2000 is unique in the use of a contra-rotating cylindrical brush as the means of applying the chemical to the plants. The nature of the brush is fundamentalto the success of the system. It is made from a mixture of absorbent natural fibres and synthetic fibres. Once primed it is able to carry up to 3 litres of liquid, yet itwill retain its shape even when combed through dense, tough weeds. The loading of the brush ensures an effective dose of chemical onto each target plant. Thebrush is made up of interlocking rings of bristles mounted on a central shaft with a slight gap between each of them allowing the plants to “comb” through, deliveringa high dose of chemical with impressive results. The brush core is designed to prevent chemical passing along the length of the brush when used on side slopes.

Intelligent design and robust construction makes the Logic Contact 2000 weed wiper a safe, environmentally responsible and cost elective method of controllingweeds such as nettle, thistle, rush, bracken etc. By applying chemical only to the tall target plants, leaving the grass (and most importantly any clover present)unaffected, Contact 2000 is able to deliver excellent results using only a fraction of the chemical required for conventional spraying of the same area.With a standardsingle unit width of 2.5m Contact 2000 can cover approx. 1 acre per hour for every 1mph of forward speed up to a recommended maximum forward speed of 7mph.Where higher work rates are required or larger areas are to be treated, the 2.5m units can be used in 2 or 3 gang formations to cover up to 7.5m. These used behindmore powerful ATVs or larger on road vehicles cover up to 20 acres (8Ha) per hour on flat ground and up to 12 acres (4.8Ha) per hour on difficult terrain. Wheelsmounted inboard result in a relatively narrow overall width allowing for access through the smaller 10’ gateways typical in upland areas.

APPLICATOR BRUSH: KEY TO THE SYSTEMContact 2000 is unique in the use of a contra-rotating cylindrical brush as the means of applying the chemical to the plants. The nature of the brush is fundamentalto the success of the system. It is made from a mixture of absorbent natural fibres and synthetic fibres. Once primed it is able to carry up to 3 litres of liquid, yet itwill retain its shape even when combed through dense, tough weeds. The loading of the brush ensures an effective dose of chemical onto each target plant. Thebrush is made up of interlocking rings of bristles mounted on a central shaft with a slight gap between each of them allowing the plants to “comb” through, deliveringa high dose of chemical with impressive results. The brush core is designed to prevent chemical passing along the length of the brush when used on side slopes.
