We suggest following the instructions without exception, remember that there is alwaysa certain degree of risk involved when handling tools, respect the safety signs in thismanual and on the machine and you will avoid injuries, in addition to prolonging the lifeof the seed drill.

This manual is an essential component of the machine and should always accompany it,even if it is sold again.

The left and right sides are determined by the direction of advance of the machine.

The hydraulic system operation needs special care. scaping fluids under pressure can perfo-rate the s in, causing serious in uries. emove pressure in the system before disconnecting the planter, or any hydraulic hose. Tighten all connections before giving pressure to the system.

Practice safe maintenance:

tractor engine and remove the eys before ser-vicing. hec there is no movement on any part of the

machine and remove pressure in the hydraulicsystem. Detach the machine from the tractor or discon-

nect the ground line - from the battery before performing any welding on themachine. amine the planter. hec all parts are in

good conditions and correctly installed. eplaceany bro en or worn out parts. emove all tools or parts which are out of use. lean the machine.

Do not attempt to mount a tire without the proper e uipment and e perience to perform this ob. Always maintain the correct tire pressure. Do not inflate the tires above the recommended

pressure. Never weld or heat a wheel and tire assembly. The heat

can cause an increase in air pressure resulting in a tiree plosion. Welding can structurally wea en or deform thewheel. When inflating tires, use a clip-on chuc and e tension

hose long enough to allow you to stand to one side andN T in front of or over the tire assembly. se a safety cage,if available. hec tires for low pressure, cuts, bubbles, damaged rims

or missing hardware daily.

The APA H seeder is a modular type machine, created for the sowing of coarse grainsby means of an APA H mechanical inclined plane meter. ut versatile to also allow the cou-pling of pneumatic systems such as P I I N PLANTIN or MAT MA .

It supports the sowing of crops such as soybean, sunflower, corn, sorghum, beans, peanuts,safflower, cotton and wheat.

It uses plate meters for sowing, either mechanical or pneumatic. And chevron type wheel meter-for the distribution of fertili er.

It has different versions, made up of the following distances between rows mm - mm -mm - mm - mm - mm and mm.

Product is stored in a single bo with seed and fertili er compartments, corresponding appro i-mately and respectively.The bo has a deflector which allows the use of nearly its total capacity with seeds only, thusincreasing its autonomy.

PRESENTATION - 01

In some versions, the opener bodies have a loc ing system to cancel their operation, and faci-litate the tas of varying the distance between seed lines. What does this mean? That thesame chassis can be assembled at various distances, but not all these distances are achievedonly by canceling bodies, some have to remove the entire line of openers and reassemble itwith the desired configuration. o the body loc s are not always.

The wor and transport of the machine are carried out on self-orientating wheels per modu-le, with covers and specific lances for each purpose. The wor ing lances for both , and modules are hydraulically operated.

The mar ers are also hydraulically powered, with support wheels for those who are sections.

In hydraulics we can also say that the machine has a compensating cylinder on the rear whe-els that helps to absorb the unevenness of the terrain. It also has power outlets to connecte ternal e uipment. And on -module machines, the front cylinders have regulating valves toallow uniform ascent and descent of both units.

Machines whose frames allows different assemblies, achieving different distances:

In these machines, bodies cannot be canceled, the only way to achieve the other versions is byremoving all the bodies and reassembling them in the new position.

To assemble, ta e into account whether the number of rows is even or odd. If the machine is ofan odd modulus to mm , start by placing a central body and then place on each side

mm apart.If it is even to mm , measure half this distance . from the center and place the firstbody, then place the ne t at mm. epeat on the other half of the frame.

Tractor power:The re uired tractor power is sub ect to variations caused by circumstances such as the condi-tions of the land, or the planting speed. It is considered that the machine needs between and HP per line.

IMPORTANT: In tractors that do not have a closed circuit, the delivery flow decreaseswhen its revolutions decrease: For example: by slowing down to turn headland.

PREPARATION AND SETUP - 01

PREPARATION AND SETUP - 02

Change from Transportation to Work:

The machine and tractor are in transportposition and the four central wheels are loc-ed.

- The operator should lower the tractor to remove the twoloc s A in every hitch.

- Activate the hydraulic command of the tractor to lower thehitch, unhoo the tip of the hitch T , carry forward and placethe hitch ac P in order to hold it.

- emove the loc and bringthe beam to its wor ing posi-tion from point to point

- ring the tractor forward and connect hoses.

IMPORTANT: This beam must remain disengaged from point , as long as the machine isbeing transported. ailure to comply with this condition can cause considerable brea s in themachine.

ADJUSTMENT - 01

- Activate the hydraulic command to lift the machine and remove all the transport loc s, whichare in the wheel cylinders.

- Activate the hydraulic command to lower the machine until the discsare on the ground, and continue to operate the tractor lever. If themachine is on firm ground, the transport-wor wheels will remain in theair. otate them to their wor ing location and reposition the Tloc s to fi the new position.

IMPORTANT: In work position, the machine re uires the locksonly on a single line of wheels, either the front or the rear, but inthe chosen line, all the wheels must be locked.Apache recommends locking the rear wheels. This improves the stability of the machineduring the seeding path, and when folding at the headland.

In some tractors it is recommended to control the turning radius, to avoid contact between thewheels and the hitch.

Coulter blade: self-aligning no-till coulter blade, spring loaded for cutting residue and tillage in the

seeding row.

* Alignment adjustment: The slot holes a in the anchoring plate pivoting coulter shaft, offerside ad ustment to align the blade with the double opener dis s. In order to ad ust, loosen the

bolts b , and move the blade settowards one side or the other hori-ontally.

* Height adjustment:NOTE: The first height ad usmentof the row units is in the hydraulicwor ing cylinders

Apache opener dis seeding depth control is performed by means of semipneumaticwheels h attached to both sides of the double dis . These wheels are independentely lin ed to the opener dis s unit, thus they are able to copy theground easily.

These wheels should have a . - mm space between the tire and the double dis blade in orderto get their correct position.

This position also enables them to eep bladesclean and to hold soil down.

Adjustment: These wheels should be ad usted with the row units in raised position.

The side gauge wheels are ad usted by means of a pin.

emove the pin i and move the arm frontwards or rearwards depending on the height to beachieved.

N T The more rearwards the ad ustment arm ismoved, the deeper the double dis will be positioned. Theopposite will occur if the arm is moved frontwards, thedouble wheels will lower impeding the double dis topenetrate too deep into the ground.

When the desired position is achieved, place the pinagain to fi the arm position.

IMPORTANT: This wal ing tandem system, controls theseeding depth accurately, independently from the seed weight inside the hopper.

ADJUSTMENT - 06

Seed firmer:

The seeed firmer grants a full seed-soil contact. It wor s directly on the deposited seeds,allowing them to settle down at the very bottom of the row..

To install it, the whole system should be assembledseparately the fi ing support i , the floating support e ,the safety bolt and the tail a .

The assembled seed firmer is then mounted on theopener dis through its bottom side. The ad ustment selector is tightened s , by means ofthe bolt and loc washer p .

The aim of both of them is to to place the seed in a position that grants a perfect contact withthe soil, avoiding inner air chambers. It is important to mention that the wheels do not wor onthe row. Therefore, in case of e cessive pressure, the seed would not be damaged or driven out.A superficial linear crac is made on the row, avoiding that the crust made up by the rain afterhaving seeded obstructs the germination and or growing.

Meter lubrication:

It is important to remember that the metershould be lubricated through the supply inletb , placed at the outer rear side of it.

Lubrication should be generous but note cessive, with regular intervals.

Meter transmission:Transmission reaches the meter through a mechanical cross oint, whose telescopic systemshould be specifically assembled so as not to alter its performance.

In case the cross oint should be dismounted for any reason, and its disassembly occured, whenassembling it again, ma e sure the ends a and b eep the same direction, as shown inPicture .

To perform Double ertili ation, an accessory called orn o must be added. It is mounted inthe rear sector of the machine, and contains the seeds that will be paid by the main bo . In turn,the main bo will be divided for two different inputs.

When the machine prepares to perform Double ertili ation, the seed no le for the rear line isreplaced by chevron feeders, which have a special coupling incorporated that allows the opera-tor, when re uired, to switch to the standard mode of the machine eeds and ertili er in themain bo , without adding or removing anything.

specially in pneumatic machines, and to a lesser e tent in mechanical machines, the treatedseeds ac uire certain characteristics that impair their free sliding through the seeding channelshoses, dosing devices, tubes, etc. .

To minimi e these negative effects, it is recommended to use a lubricating talc such as raphite .

The recommended amount of graphite will depend on the condition of the seeds

If seed treated by the supplier is going to be sown, and the operator does not apply additionaltreatments, spread cup of talc in each hopper after filling it with seeds. This amount can bead usted as necessary, until all the seeds are covered, preventing the graphite from accumula-ting in the bottom of the hopper.

With small seeds or with a thic treatment, or if the sowing is carried out in humid conditions,it may be necessary to increase the amount to cup per hopper.

If the operator applies additional treatment to the seed

The transport wor ing wheel cylinders have two loc swhich perform the following functions

The short loc is used when the machine is wor ing,to shorten the cylinder course at the end of rows andimprove the wor ing time.N T The operator should chec the loc s are placedbefore starting to wor .

The long loc L is used when the machine is beingtransported, when it is stored at the end of the season, orwhen servicing. In all these siuations, this loc preventse cessive effort on cylinders or other hydraulic ointsconnected with this circuit.

How to place the safety loc s in the cylinders - Activate the circuit to open the wheel cylinders.- Place the safety loc s L with their corresponding safety device.- Activate the circuit again to close the cylinders until they lie on the loc s, and continue to acti-

vate until the circuit is decompressed, ma ing sure that the effort is made only by the loc s L .

IMPORTANT: It is very important to remove all the pressure from the hydraulicsystem when the machine is being transported, stored or repaired. Always use thecylinder locks “L”. They should only be removed while seeding.

It is always important to carry out an in-depth chec up of the seed drill before the seeding sea-son. ne of the proponed tas s is to analy e each meter delivery so as to chec uantity uni-formity. In case there were any differences, it would be useful to average each meter value andestablish, on a particular basis, a tolerance variation range , for e ample . That is to say, if the collected average value is g, the wor of meters with collected uanti-ties ranging between and g will be accepted, and the others will be chec ed.

Ta ing into account the row spacing used, a uantity of linear meters that represent m sur-face are sown m linear meters sowed row spacing . Put bags in some meters to chec their uniform wor too , ta e one bag of collected productand weight it so that it shows a value in grams.
