Costa International has an exclusive operating model – an end to end streamlined supply chain model consisting of huge aquaculture farms, state of the art modern processing plant, an in-house R&D, QA/QC department, export facility as well as warehousing facilities, along with close working relationship with reliable upstream raw seafood suppliers.

The production lines for Shrimps are of four types:

The facility is divided into 2 sections to process shrimps and fish separately.

Once graded, the headless material is then forwarded to the value addition section where-in further processing like Easy Peel, PDTO, PVPD, P&D or Butterfly etc. are carried on as per requirement. The capacity here is 250 workers per shift.

Soaking and Treatment Facility – Plate Freezer line with 2 nos. of contact plate freez-ers and capacity of 800kg per load is present with a Freezing Time of 50 minutes per load.Raw IQF Line with capacity of 750 kg per hour is present, which facilitates IQF Freez-er, Automatic Glazer, Chiller, Glaze Hardener, etc, all supplied by Glory, Vietnam and syn-chronised with PLC for automatic Time and Temperature control.

our FACIlIty (Cont..)

The Costa International facility consists of the following:

Raw Material Section – Indian HOSO Vannamei & Seawater Shrimps are received through Shrimp Receiving Chute and washed with Bubble Jet Washing Machine. Raw mate-rial supply, head waste collection etc. is done by a semi-automatic Beheading Line with 3-level conveyor system. The headless mate-rial is directed into the filth washing machine, from where it moves to the grading machine to accumulate the graded headless shrimps directly.About 120 workers can be accommo-dated in to this facility, per shift.

In contrast to the conventional seafood sup-pliers, we at Costa International aim to focus more on the final step of Trade and Retail, wherein we will create customized solutions for our target customer group, which consists of the following:

• Large traders who deal with most seafood products imported by a country, holding inventory to be able to service their dealers better as well as to control pricing.• Retailers who deal with only ap proved set of dealers and traders, for quality accreditation and enhanced traceability.• Restaurant chains around the world, looking for ultra-fresh products and high serviceability.• Food processing factories looking for raw material for food processing, mostly based in US and Japan

We market and manage all of our products using reliable and dedicated teams and sea-food suppliers committed to manage our en-tire supply chain ensuring top most quality, freshness and taste.

In the future we plan to look into opportunities for adding more value to the brick & mortar as well as e-commerce suppliers in the logistics and supply chain space.

Future Cooked IQF Line will result from con-version of a second IQF Line of capacity 500 kg/hour which is currently being used for raw production of HOSO shrimps on exclusive basis. Fitted with a dedicated grading ma-chine, freezer, glazer, chiller and hardener fa-cility supplied by Glory, Vietnam with full time and temperature controlled through PLC, the frozen products from this IQF Line are direct-ly accumulated into packing room for further weighing, filling, metal detection and packing etc.
