INTRODUCTION

Welcome to our Spring/Summer 2012-13 Lookbook, dedicated to all things bright, fresh and chic. We’ve created this to help you pull together the best that Fashion Gallery at eBay has to offer for your upcoming editorials.

We’ve enlisted the help of three exciting personalities to showcase the new season trends – international photographer and blogger Candice Lake, ambassador/model Nikki Phillips and designer and stylist Ryan Lobo. Recognised both locally and internationally for their fashion savvy, all three of our models have put their unique stamp on the great merchandise offered on Fashion Gallery.

The season is shaping up to be dominated by amazing prints and patterns, with designers like Lisa Ho, Fleur Wood and Farage showcasing brilliant florals and eye-catching abstract prints. After the muted and jewel-tones that dominated autumn/winter, we’re equally excited to be embracing bold, bright colours – those fresh shades of primrose yellow, amped-up lilac and sunset orange are perfect for the sunny days and balmy nights ahead. On the men’s side, we’re pleased to offer the full range of casual streetwear to workwear and formal options. Take a leaf from Ryan’s book and mix edgy, urban options with statement pieces direct from the designers.

CANDICELAKEPHOTOGRAPHER, BLOGGER AND MODEL.

Candice Lake is one of those people who lights up a room. It’s her mega-watt smile, it’s the way she makes everyone feel welcome and it’s her infectious enthusiasm for her work. Australian born but now based in London, Candice has worn many hats during her flourishing career – first as a model, then a photographer and blogger. Instantly recognisable and regularly featured on the pages of the top glossy magazines, both in Australia and internationally, Candice puts her unique stamp on Fashion Gallery at eBay’s range.

Hometown: Brisbane, Australia. Describe your style: I love clean, classic lines with a touch of the eccentric – a pop of colour, a bold shoulder or some oversized sunglasses.

Latest obsession: I have an ongoing love affair with hats.

Next on your spring/summer must-have list: That sweet, ‘50s look – a high-waisted pencil skirt worn with a bandeau top.

Favourite item on Fashion Gallery at eBay: I really love Lisa Ho’s use of colour. All her pieces are so wearable with a fashion-forward edge. Wardrobe you’d most like to raid: The Vogue fashion team.

Dream getaway: The south of France with lots of champagne! Lazy days by the beach and long nights.

Failsafe outfit: Leather pants, a button-down shirt and a boyfriend blazer.

Favourite indulgence: Long bike rides around London with my boyfriend.

Currently listening to: Bob Dylan and Gotye.

NIKKIPHILLIPSMODEL, AMBASSADOR AND JEWELLERY DESIGNER.

The genetically-blessed front row favourite is as talented as she is beautiful, having a natural poise and inherent style that few possess. Equally comfortable modelling as she is hosting A-list events, Nikki’s bubbly personality and strong work ethic has ensured her success as a sought-after media personality.

Describe your style: Classic chic with a twist – I always add a bit of funk or a playful edge. Latest obsession: Anything Celine or Christian Louboutin.

Next on your spring/summer must-have list: I’m coveting neon hues and an amazing abstract print.

Favourite item on Fashion Gallery at eBay: Suboo’s effortless caftans.

Wardrobe you’d most like to raid: Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.

Dream getaway: Egypt. I’m quite adventurous and would love to be immersed in such an ancient culture.

Failsafe outfit: A structured blazer with a white tank, red jeans and strappy black sandals.

Favourite indulgence: Chocolate comes to mind! I literally eat a block a day. Even better than chocolate? Shopping online whilst eating chocolate.

Currently listening to: I’m obsessed with Prince. I also love Florence & The Machine, Foster The People and Matt Corby.

RYANLOBODESIGNER AND STYLIST.

Ryan Lobo is a master of the high-low mix, effortlessly pairing the most luxurious designer clothing with edgy streetwear and simple basics. This philosophy makes sense for the designer and stylist, who started his career as a buyer for top-end boutique Robby Ingham, before joining pop-culture online bible Pages Digital. These days, Ryan spends his days in New York, where he’s launched his own clothing label, TOME.

Hometown: Sydney, Australia.

Describe your style: I like a mix of high and low – like wearing a Lanvin shirt with Levis. I live in denim and love to wear colour. Above all, my clothes have to be comfortable! Latest obsession: German choreographer Pina Bausch.

Next on your Spring/Summer must-have list: I’m on the lookout for the perfect white t-shirt.

Favourite item on Fashion Gallery at eBay: The collarless shirt from Farage is amazing.

Wardrobe you’d most like to raid: Miucca Prada for her archives and jewellery, or Tilda Swinton, who in my opinion is the best-dressed person on the planet.

Dream getaway: The Maldives.

Failsafe outfit: An oversized white tee with jeans.

Favourite indulgence: Chocolate.

Currently listening to: Azealia Banks.
