from the Noughties

Georgia, Sophie and Andy

Terry Richardson- 14th August 1965- American Fashion and Portrait

Photographer- Ad campaigns for: Marc Jacobs,

Aldo, Supreme, Sisley, Tom Ford, and Yves Saint Laurent and many others

- Shot for magazines such as: Rolling Stone, GQ, Vogue, Vanity Fair, Harper's Bazaar, i-D, and Vice

Terry Richardson- Wouldn’t personally say he is groundbreaking- But he has become iconic for his highly sexualised photography style- Many of his ad campaigns are viewed as hypersexualised- This has led to many allegations against him since 2010 including inappropriate

sexual behavior, coercion and sexual assault- Again in 2014, a further 6 models came forward and some people started to

take notice- Richardson then lost a lot of work and big names like American Vogue stated

publicly that they would never work with him again- Long time employers Aldo cut ties, followed by the Roberto Cavalli fashion

house

Terry Richardson

Terry Richardson- Recently worked with Kylie

Jenner for her 2017 calendar- She wanted to work with the

photographer after his work done with her sisters in previous years

- The star said it was “a dream come true” and is “obsessed” with the photographer

- Many fans were quite upset with her decision to use Richardson

Cultural trends happening at this time - Technology: Explosion in self-expression that we have witnessed has only been made possible by the boom in ways of transmitting thoughts, images, feelings, ideas - the cornerstones of culture. Computer software and the internet have democratised creatively: everyone's an artist now!!

How did she influence fashion images - she cites influences like Helmut Newton and Jaques Henri Lartigue, it is her unique vision that has made her one of the most sought after photographers in fashion. Her provocative and seductive images have now filled four books (Fraulein, Couples, Wicked, and Snaps) and have appeared both inside and on the covers of almost two decades worth of fashion and celebrity magazines.

Ellen von UnwerthQuote from Faded & Blurred:

Ellen von Unwerth has been described as someone who really loves life, who doesn’t act like she’s above or below the people she photographs. She is someone who doesn’t use the camera for judgment, but instead as a tool to connect with other people, which is something that I am trying to bring to my own photography. Her work has not only made an indelible mark on the world of fashion, but she will no doubt be remembered as one of the pioneering female photographers
