PUNK

Some punks wear tight "drainpipe" jeans, plaid/tartan trousers, kilts or skirts, T-shirts, leather jackets (which are often decorated with painted band logos, pins and buttons, and metal studs or spikes), and footwear such as Converse sneakers, skate shoes, brothel creepers, or Dr. Martens boots.

minimalism is about creating a perfect balance out of imbalance – about pairing shapes, fabrics, proportions, and colors that speak to the harmony of the whole

GRUNGE It is a subgenre of

alternative rock Inspired by hardcore punk, heavy metal, and indie rock, grunge is generally characterized by heavilydistorted electric guitars, contrasting song dynamics, and apathetic or angst-filled lyrics. 10

GRUNGE

Grunge was essentially a slovenly, thoughtless, uncoordinated look, but with an edge. Iconic items for men and women were ripped and faded jeans, flannel shirts or wool Pendletons layered over dirty T-shirts with outdated logos, and black combat-style boots such as Dr. Martens.

GOTHIC

The Goth subculture has survived much longer than others of the same era, and has continued to diversify. Its imagery and cultural proclivities indicate influences from 19 Century Gothic literature along with horror movies.

Heavy metal fashion includes elements such as leather jackets; hi-top basketball shoes (more common with old school thrash metalheads); blue or black skinny fit jeans, camouflage pants, shirts, jackets or shorts, and denim jackets or kutte vests, often adorned with badges, pins and patches.
