The season is finally upon us, and the first of the FLB bike nights have started off with a BANG!

We are already ripping into the season and planning a ton of events including the Atlantic City Bike Week, May 19th-22nd, which will be held at the Convention Hall and throughout the city. The entire FLB franchise along with the top bike builders and best vendors are on board for this epic event. The talented Jimmy Van Zant, the Razorbacks and many more will be providing some kick-ass music! You can be sure, as always, that Fast Lane Biker Magazine will show you all an excellent time!

We would like to thank Double D, Johnny, Debbie, Vic, and Toni for kicking butt and bringing so many new supporters and advertisers to Fast Lane Biker NY. We appreciate all their hard work and support. Thanks guys!

There have been several changes to our web site, thanks to our friends at NY-Biker.com. Anthony is a good friend of ours and youll be seeing a lot more from the biggest NY biker web site soon. You can meet us both at the Thousand Islands River Run, as we are sharing a table there, so stop by and say hello and pick up a Fast Lane Biker T-shirt and some NY-Biker Merchandise. Check out his web site at www.NY-Biker.Com.

Remember, send us Email at [email protected] and request our Riders in the Wind Form to fill out and return with two pictures of yourself on your motorcycle. Be seen in the best NY biker magazine on the east coast!

Make sure you spread the word by telling your local dealers and businesses to support your favorite magazine, as our supporters bring you the magazine each month.

Support Fast Lane Biker by supporting our support!!

PEGGY ONEILS . CONEY ISLAND, NYApril 9th, 2011 . Pictures by Double D & Bonnie

TRASHED MC 6TH ANNIVERSARY PARTYThe guys from Trashed celebrated their 6th Anniversary at Peggy ONeils in Coney Island on April 9th. There were vendors, Uncle Trinkets custom biker jewelry, and great food. The bands were Dogs of Zeus, Sanitarius and Iron-horse.

The place was packed with clubs and bikers from the end of LI to NJ and everything in between. Everyone enjoyed the night and catching up with one an-other and had great time. Once again a Trashed event was well organized and fun for all.

A 6th Anniversary Party celebrated by a crew who knows how to have one heck of a time and make sure all their guests do, as well.

  • Story of the bike build, who, how, when, where, why, and things that will make a good story . . . (SOMETHING INTERESTING) Early in 2010 Doug Keim from Creative Cycles, Inc in Wall, New Jersey was contacted by David Zuckerburg from RIDES / XXL Magazines regarding several bikes they wanted to build in conjunction with Harley-Davidson Motor Co.. After lots of talk and face to face meetings the deal was done. Doug then spent time focusing on what the bike needed to be to please all those involved. Time was then spent on the phone with the person that the bike was to be built for. That person is none other than Mr. Pharrell Williams of music industry fame as well as being the founder of Billionaire Boys Club / Ice Cream Brand Clothing. Doug asked question after question, attempting to find out what Pharrell liked and what he didnt like. After careful consideration to all of the fact finding, he then spent a ton of time searching the H-D accessory catalog along with and several aftermarket parts catalogs to come up with just the right group of parts and accessories for this build. As you can see, the result of all this effort is a Harley-Davidson Cross-Bones like no other. The concept behind the bike was to come up with a modern high tech Harley that still reflects on the early days of Harley-Davidson, as well as the early days of our great country and the struggles we faced. It was decided to build a bike that was U.S. Military in color and feel, with a combination of vintage and current styling. In looking over the bike, I think they got it right. So how did Doug, Chris and the Creative Cycles crew get to this point, well it wasnt just a bolt together project. Looking over the bike, the first thing that you notice is those huge 23 inch wheels and tires, and Im betting that you think they just bolted on. NOPE! From the factory the bike is fitted with 16 inch tires and wheels. To get that 23 inch wheel and Avon Tyre to fit in the factory swing arm, Creative Cycles had to notch the cross tubes in the swing arm, and then come up with a way to reinforce the swing arm in the areas that had been modified, and still make it look like factory H-D. Well the resulting work has proved to be just that. If you hadnt been told that the swing arm had been modified, you wouldnt know it. Not only was the swing arm modified, but all of the electronics that normally sit on the top front of the rear fender had to be relocated, as well as a fair amount of the electronics that normally reside in front of the rear tire. So now ask yourself, why is there a Harley-Davidson accessory tool box mounted on the left side of that bike? Umm could it be that the ECM now lives in there, safe under lock and key. Once all the fabrication work was done and those BIG 23s where in place, the ride height of the bike now had to be addressed. Again, the stock bike was wearing 16 inch wheels and rubber; it was now wearing 23 inch Avons. So it became necessary to lower the bike a bit to get it back down to a more normal ride height. However it was decided to keep it a little bit higher than it was in stock configuration. After all, those early military use motorcycles faced all kinds of terrain, so a small amount of extra ground clearance was intentionally built into this bike. The front of the bike was lowered 1.5 inches and the rear was lowered 2 inches. In addition to lowering the

  • bike, the headlight was also repositioned to now mount on the bottom of the front shock, instead of the top, which also lends itself to a cleaner more flowing appearance. Moving around the bike; you will notice small things like the handlebars. The handlebars are H-D accessory Beach Bars that have been shortened up 4 inches. Doug and Chris felt the bars needed to be a bit shorter to lend better to the vintage look. The bars have been finished off with a set of Creative Cycles knurled The Grip hand grips with a set of one off end caps. To help feed air to the deep breathing H- D Big Twin, a billet RSD air cleaner was installed. Doug had Chip over at APW paint the screen in the face of the air cleaner to match the light green found elsewhere on the bike. The exhaust was a whole nother matter. Doug wanted something that was high performance in appearance. So to the fab bench Doug went, to build the pipes you now see on the bike. They feature 1 inch headpipes, that step up to 2 inch then to 2 inches. They feature internal anti-reversion devices and 6 baffles. The package was then treated to a high temp wrapping to keep the gases expanded, thus moving them at a greater velocity to further improve performance. To make all this work an Accel SLM auto tune fuel injection tuner was used, and as we can attest to, this bike is a runner. Another item on the bike worth mentioning is the hand crafted rear fender which started life as a flat piece of steel. It is hung using to very slick set of floating links which allow the rear fender to be repositioned. This allows the gap to be adjusted between the tire and the fender whenever chain tensioning is necessary. Other items worth mentioning are the stainless steel side panels, the hand made rear signal lamp mounts, the gorgeous side mounted tail lamp and license plate, the tucked in front turn signals, the awesome hand made seat pan, seat mounts and seat cover, of which is actually a Billionaire Boys Club Clothing Camo pattern. This is all topped off with a fantastic weathered paint scheme applied by Chip from Aggressive Paint Works in Freehold, NJ. Chip and Doug got together and talked over the ideas Pharrell had for the look of the paint. They took all their individual ideas and put them all together. The result was an Olive Green which was taken from the strapping found on a BBC Camo back pack. As mentioned previously, the seat cover is actually a BBC Camo jacket that was pulled apart to make a seat cover. The different shades of green found in the seat cover can be found in other areas of the bike as offsetting and contrasting colors. All in all this is one bad Cross-Bones.

Special Thanks goes out to Harley-Davidson Motor Co., RIDES XXL Magazines, Creative Cycles, APW Paint, Avon Tyre, Accel Motorcycle, Chris Edlredge and Liz OBrien for

helping make this bike a reality. Enjoy!

NEW BLACK LED HEADLAMPS FROM HARLEY-DAVIDSONOutstanding Lighting Performance and a Dramatic Styling Change

The new Black LED Headlamps and Auxiliary Lamps from Harley-Davidson Genuine Motor Accessories offer high-performance lighting and a gloss black background that makes these dramatic head lamp look unlike anything else on the road.

LED lights are brighter and whiter in color and provide a superior light pattern over standard incandescent lamps. Compared to the yellow light of a traditional halogen bulb, the LED lamp produces a daylight color impression that appears more natural to the eye. The light is focused with D-shaped lenses so the background of the head lamp does not act as a reflector, and can be coated gloss black. The solid-state LEDs are designed for long life, and the shock- and vibration-resistant lamp assembly mounts into existing light housings. Installation is quick and easy, using the factory headlamp wiring. No external ballast or complicated wire harness is required.

    Harley-Davidson Black LED Headlamps (7-inch diameter: P/N 67700040, $524.95 and P/N 67700042, $494.95; 5.75-inch diameter: P/N 67700043, $399.95) feature two horizontal D-shaped lenses that focus light into a pool in

front of the motorcycle, and separate high beam and low beam projector lenses that provide a focused beam of light in front.

The 4-inch Black LED Auxiliary Lamps (P/N 68000008, $384.95 set of two) feature three D-shaped lenses that focus the light and provide a matching appearance to the LED headlamps. These lamps replace the original equipment lamps in all models with 4-inch round auxiliary forward lighting. Installation may require separate purchase of Adapter Harness P/N 68355-05.

The Black LED lamps are DOT approved for use in all 50 states and are available to fit many Touring, Trike, Dyna, Softail, Sportster and VRSC models.

FAST LANE BIKER BIKE NIGHTAT THE TACK ROOM BAR

You cant tell by the weather, but spring is here. The only true sign of spring is that the Tack Room Bike Night is back! And its back with a vengeance!

This seasons bike night started right where last seasons left off - a great group of people, unbe-lievably great food, awesome tunes from Light House and, of course, the two sexiest barmaids in town... Kim and Michelle.

We took on a new sponsor this year and we would all like to welcome Cavalier and Associates to our family. Tom and Matt seemed to really enjoy them-selves, and I am sure they are extremely happy they came on board.

Alright, enough with the niceties, lets move along to the trophy winners. Very simply, Restless Spirits MC ran away with all three of this months trophies. Steve of Restless Spirits MC won Best Custom for his 2008 Rigid Frame Chopper, Triff of Restless Spirits MC won one of my special trophys for hav-ing The Bike with the Least Amount of Displace-ment. Now a little note - Triff rides a Vento 250cc and if you ever met him, you would understand. He is so big, he probably bench presses the bike!!! And finally, again, Restless Spirits MC took Best Represented Club with 8 strong. Thanks for the support guys, way to go!

Next months bike night will be May 26th at 8pm. Dont miss it. And stop down to Big Boar Cycles for everything you need to get your bike ready for trophy contention.

See yall May 26th 8pm. Till then...

It was sunny and clear but still a cold 37 degrees at New Roc Harleys annual bike blessing where almost 100 riders came down and braved the chilly weather. Warm inside the dealership during ride registration, bike blessing par-ticipants enjoyed coffee with breakfast while some pinned their new angel pin on their passengers.

Getting ready to go, riders and passengers some fathers with their children - were bundled up tight wearing face masks and gloves as they listened to the blessings by Sister Carol from The Sisters Of Charity of the Elizabeth Seton Foundling Hospital and Father Peter of the Blessed Sacra-ment Church in New Rochelle.

Graciously, Father Peter stood out in the cold blessing over 80 bikes as riders rumbled passed him in their heated gear and blessing even more motorcycles by walking through the parking lot, taking care of those who did not go on the ride - even fulfilling requests by putting Holy Water on a helmet.

Finally, warming up inside and wanting to provide for fu-ture owners, Father Peter continued on and blessed some of the new motorcycles on the New Roc Harley-Davidson showroom floor. It was a good day with plenty of bless-ings for the upcoming season. Looking forward to warmer weather next year.

    BSA BUILD... FINALLY DONE!

I know that it seems a long time since I started this bike, but sometimes things dont work out the way you want them to mechanically and timewise. So anywho, we nally get all the stuff back from the painter, the chromer, and all other culprits involved. Everything I sent out, took forever to get back, eating up a lot of time I did not have to put it all together. See, this bike was going down to the smokeout in Carolina somewhere and it had to be assembled, riden, gone over and be ready to go by the 16th of May. Here it is the middle of April, and things are nally here.

A lot to do for one person, let alone doing everything else around here. So we dive into the thing feet rst and get busy. Hey, we have gone over a bike assembly before, so don`t get upset if i don`t go thru the whole thing again. Things fell right into place on this build, because there is not a lot to this bike and everything was tted and re- tted upon pre- assembly. Every now and then things do go as planed and this was one of them. Damn good thing too, I did not have a lot of time. Engine and trans fell in the hole no problem, got back to a rolling frame so fast I couldn`t believe it. I guess my old buddy Eddie was giving me a hand from beyond. Thought I felt someone watching me. Wiring and all the rest of the bike just fell into place. When all the brass started to go on, you could really see what the owner was looking for.

Not going to bore you with all the rest of the stuff. Take a look at the pic`s and see what you think. When I got to the point to ride it, it all came back to me like I just got off a jockeyshift. Down the road and all is well. That is the best feeling in the world. (well almost, but I can`t go there) So after a ride or two, back up on the table to go over everything. Then back for another ride. Well, so far so good, time to call Tank, and tell him to come get it. So take a look. You will probably see him riding it around up in North West Jersey. So thats that!! now I gotta get some time to get my bike serviced and cleaned up. Figures, I will have to do that on my time, when ever that is. Gonna have to check the fridge and plan a course of action, you know how that goes.

    see ya j.p.fager

PATCHOGUE THEATER . PATCHOGUE, NY . APRIL 15TH, 2011BRET MICHAELS IN CONCERT Nancy and I were excited to have a Friday night out to celebrate my birthday, which was Sunday the 17th. We were lucky enough to get invited out once again to see Bret Mi-chaels, and I saw my good friend Tattoo Tony, who is Brets right hand man when hes in town. I knew it would be a great night with friends and an amazing show, and boy, was I right! We arrived to the theater about 7:00pm and met up with Gerry and Chris from ReNu Powder Coating and Tattoo Tony. We hung out for a bit, enjoyed a few cold ones and got caught up with my friends. Tonys multitasking kept him busy throughout the night, but he made sure I had the prime spot to photograph the show. Thanks again bro! As we hung out in the main lobby Tom Mele, his wife Vikki, and L.J. James appeared on the staircase. It was great to spend some time talking and having some laughs. We real-ly enjoyed ourselves. Tom and LJs new Saturday (8am-10am) morning show called Long Island Old School Radio on WRCN 103.9 has been a breeze of fresh air and gives a voice to the working men, women, and bikers. Its really taking off. We at Fast Lane Biker NY support them and the show 100%! We are very happy the show has found its groove and continues to grow each week. After the great opening act Mad Co which was a fantastic tribute to Bad Company, the crowd was totally revved up for Bret. The show was pure energy and Bret was in rare form. He rocked out all his classics plus some new tunes of the Cus-tom Built CD. He seemed excited to be back in New York and it was his first time at The Patchogue Theater. The show was pure octane rock and roll and Bret didnt disappoint. He was up there having as much fun as the crowd and he thanked us all for 25 years of letting him do what he loves most. At the end of the night, and after the crowd was screaming for an encore, he came back out and ended the night as it started, belting out Nothing But a Good Time. At the end of the show Brets stage hand auctioned off his guitar used during that nights performance of Fallen Angel for the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation. As the auction was about to close a shout from the balcony came; $2,000, and SOLD, to the man in the back. As I took a second look, it was Tom Mele! He just bought the guitar and a chance to meet Bret Michaels while lending a helping hand to a good cause. Tattoo Tony also auctioned off all of Brets shirts and hats that night to the same cause. Bret has made it his goal to help find a cure for this problem and gives all he can to make a difference. Hats off to you Bret! Tom, Vikki, LJ, and Marc went onto the bus and met with Bret and had the guitar signed, which will hang in the hallway at WRCN 103.9, along with the pictures donated by Fast Lane Biker Magazine NY. All in all, the night was terrific and we all had fun. It was nice spending time with all our friends and celebrating my B day. Thanks to Tattoo Tony once again, you are a true brother my friend. Thanks to Tom Mele, LJ James and Marc for hanging with us on my B day and having a great time! By Frank D

Iron Cobra is a Rock Group located in New York. Originally created as a studio project has now grown to a full live show featuring Scott Hughes on drums and vocals, Mike Paradisis on bass and backing vocals and Paul LaScola on Guitar and Lead Vocals!

Live, Iron Cobra features a killer stage show including a 14,000 watt light show and Laser Show, 750 watt strobes and fog machines! You could go out and see a regular bar band do 4 sets in a night or you can watch Iron Cobra do (2) 1 1/2 hour mini concerts per night! On Saturday, March 26, 2011, Metal

Princess was invited to and attended one of the first shows with the new line-up at The Greenville Inn in Port Jervis, NY. They start-ed off with Van Halens Panama and played several more songs straight through. The set included Helter Skelter, Mississip-pi Queen, Godzilla, Paranoid and even R U Gonna Be My Girl by Jet! There were 26 songs on the set list, 30 with the encore songs. They welcomed me, The Metal Princess up on stage to promote Fast Lane Biker as well as myself and to introduce them properly as I was the official MC of the night. Iron Cobra is sponsored by Wick-ed Spins Radio (WickedSpinsRa-dio.org), Wendys, City Line Auto Repair, US Military Vets NY4 Chapter and Sharkey from Chopper Alley MC.

I met the lead vocalist, Paul LaScola, on Facebook and was glad he invited me to MC the show, Paul has a stage pres-ence that is a show in itself and would keep the crowd going with his witty, co-medic and charming personality. I love the way he fronts the band, hes a true veteran of the music business. He has a way of making all the fans feel like they are his friend for the night. Iron Cobra performed superbly in their own style songs such as Nothin but a Good Time, Metal Health (Bang Your Head), Looks That Kill, Another Thing Coming, Love Gun and Youth Gone Wild and many others that made all the ladies run to the dance floor and the men sing along.
