FASTER IS BETTER.

A goal is easy to describe. For some, it’s a bike split PR. For others, a world championship. | But

motivation is hard to put into words. Something unique and personal drives everyone who pushes

their limits on the bike. Yet there’s an underlying passion that we all share. | At Zipp®, that passion

drives us as we research breakthrough materials, test new designs beyond the breaking point, and

refine countless prototypes in the wind tunnel and on the road. As a result of that work and feedback

from our pro athletes, the 2011 collection of Zipp wheels and components is not only the fastest

we’ve ever released – it’s the most versatile. And it’s ready to help in your personal quest for speed.

WHERE SOLUTIONS COME FROM

Good product design is about identifying problems and solving

them. In our new, expanded facility in Indianapolis, Zipp® engineers

have more room than ever to come up with innovative solutions like

the exclusive machining technique for the 101’s curved aero braking

surfaces, or the new heat-resistant resin technology in our Carbon

Clinchers. | The new building also ensures that engineering, design,

testing, and manufacturing will stay under one roof as we continue

to grow. Doing everything in-house isn’t easy or cheap. But there’s

no better way to shorten product development cycles, maintain

stringent quality control, and stay focused on creating the world’s

fastest wheels and components.

TECHNOLOGY

4

Zipp® Carbon Clinchers have been described as the most heavily

anticipated wheels of all time. During the two-year development

process, we designed new clincher-specific approaches to

prototyping, testing, materials, and manufacturing. The end

result is worth the wait.

Optimized aerodynamics | Wind tunnel development has always

been a cornerstone of how Zipp creates the world’s fastest wheels.

For our Carbon Clinchers, we had to create a new prototyping

technology with plastic skins applied to a structural clincher rim

skeleton. It’s the only one of its kind, and it enabled us to refine rim

shapes that perfectly match the real airflow patterns created by fully

inflated clincher tires.

Optimized materials | Heavy, continuous braking on carbon

surfaces can cause spikes in rim temperature and tire pressure

that impact performance and handling – especially with clincher

tires. To counteract this effect, chemical engineers from our US-

based composites supplier traveled to Zipp to develop an exclusive

heat-resistant resin. This technology improves heat dissipation so

substantially that ours are the only carbon clinchers to pass stringent

European safety testing without limitations on rider weight or brake

pad options.

Optimized ride quality | With the Firecrest™ rim shape, the 404

and 808 Carbon Clinchers are the first carbon clinchers to offer the

superior aerodynamics, handling, comfort, and road feel of a wide-

rim body. Our proprietary heat-resistant materials, Tangente High

Performance Cork Brake Pads, and angled braking surfaces provide

smooth, pulsation-free stopping power under all conditions.

A NEW CHAPTER IN SPEED

Accurate thermal imaging enabled us to improve the materials and structure of Zipp Carbon Clinchers for optimal braking performance.

Inflating with water instead of air saves rims and eardrums when testing for maximum tire pressure. With the new Firecrest rim shape, Zipp Carbon Clinchers achieve tubular-like aerodynamic performance with the convenience of clinchers.

6

For every rider, every discipline, and every ability level,

aero wheels make a noticeable difference. Now, Zipp®

wheels make a bigger difference in more ways than ever

with the revolutionary Firecrest rim shape. Used in our

404 and 808 Tubulars and Carbon Clinchers, Firecrest

is not only more aerodynamic than any other design,

it also improves handling, wheel strength, and overall

ride quality.

More speed | Discovered as we developed our Carbon

Clinchers, Firecrest refocused our thinking from the

front to the back of the wheel. Whereas past designs

tapered inward from the widest point of the toroidal

bulge, Firecrest maintains its width nearly all the way to

the spoke bed. While still reducing turbulence behind the

tire at the wheel’s leading edge, Firecrest is the first rim

shape designed specifically to control airflow around the

back half of the wheel.

More stability | The advanced mathematics and massive computing power that

help us create faster wheels can also help reduce the effect of crosswinds. Using

computational fluid dynamics (CFD), Zipp engineers adjusted the Firecrest

profile so that the center of pressure moved closer to the steering axis. As a

result, Firecrest rims provide markedly more stable handling than other rims of

equal or even shallower depth.

More strength | As we demonstrated with the Paris-Roubaix-winning 303, a

wider rim increases lateral stiffness for sprinting and cornering yet offers greater

vertical compliance for more control, comfort, and durability on rough surfaces.

The same holds true for Firecrest rims. In both tubular and clincher versions, the

wider design better protects tires and improves cornering without adding rolling

resistance.

A BETTER WHEEL IN EVERY WAY

The wind tunnel is where we develop new products and evaluate fresh ideas. A single trip can involve more than 40 prototypes and over 100 tests at every wind angle a rider might encounter.

Updating the previous 808 Tubular with the new Firecrest shape can save 5 watts at racing speeds.

The width of the Firecrest profile helps air flow smoothly and evenly around the rim at all points around the wheel.

8

ASK BETTER QUESTIONS, GET BETTER ANSWERS.

The technology in Zipp® wheels wouldn’t be possible

without the technology in the Zipp test lab. While the

racers are putting their equipment to the test, our

engineers are constantly devising new ways to evaluate

the strengths and weaknesses of our products as well as

our competitors’.

Superior strength | Zipp wheels and components endure

a lot of abuse. But when they eventually fail, it happens

too quickly for the human eye to process. Fortunately, a

high-speed video camera shooting 20,000 frames per

second can capture every crucial detail. We pioneered

the use of impact video analysis with the 303 wheelset

that dominated the cobbled Classics. Now, this technique

is making every Zipp product tougher than ever.

Superior braking | The research that helped Zipp Carbon

Clinchers reach a new level of braking performance

required a testing device unlike any other. It can simulate

long, technical descents in wet, dry, hot, and cold

weather conditions, and even measures the vibrations

that a rider would feel through the shift levers and frame.

Superior durability | By varying rider weight, wheel angle, and the bumps

themselves, our drum testing machine produces accurate, usable data reflecting

a range of riders and conditions. Like all the custom devices in our test lab, it was

designed and fabricated in-house to improve the real-world performance and

longevity of Zipp products.

TESTING

Using more dirt, sand, soot, water, and oil than you’ll ever encounter on the road, we’re developing and testing new ways to protect the bearings and cassette body internals of Zipp hubs without adding friction.

10

WHEELS

FASTER THAN THE SUM OF THEIR PARTS

The fastest riders make the most of their strength by

studying the course and scripting every effort ahead of time.

The fastest wheels turn technology into performance by

designing every component to work in unison. | At Zipp®,

we believe that systems work best when individual parts are

developed in the context of the whole. This philosophy leads

to features like rims designed to protect your tires and hubs

with spoke holes drilled at varying angles depending on rim

depth. Combining all those details results in wheels that are

perfectly matched to the bikes you ride, the courses you

confront, and the goals you’ll achieve.

12

101

The 101 is a legitimate high-performance wheelset. Its

wind-tunnel-developed, 30mm-deep rim shape is faster

than many deeper V-shaped rims and can save up to

42 seconds over 40km compared to the industry’s

benchmark aluminum wheelset. | The centerpiece

of the 101 is the world’s first fully toroidal aluminum

rim with a bulged cross section and angled braking

surfaces. Innovative technologies for rolling, welding, and

machining the 101’s precisely curved profile allowed us to

optimize its performance for 23-25mm clincher tires by

increasing its aero section width to 24.5mm. | And what

makes the 101 so fast in the wind tunnel also gives it a

stable, responsive feel on the road. The wide profile resists

pinch flatting, increases lateral stiffness for sprinting and

cornering, and improves handling without tire “squirm”

on rough surfaces. Hand-built in Indiana with our US-made

hubs and Sapim® CX-Ray spokes, the 101 also happens

to be the most affordable wheelset in the Zipp® lineup.

SHAPE IS EVERYTHING.

Truly great climbers need more than a spectacular

power-to-weight ratio. They have to be aware of every

pedal stroke between the start line and the base of

the final ascent. By conserving energy on the flats,

descending with confidence, and making the most of

every acceleration, great climbers can eliminate the

merely good – as Andy Schleck and Alberto Contador

did on the Col de la Madeleine. | And so it is with

wheels. That’s why the ultralight Zipp® 202 also provides

advanced aerodynamics, stable handling, and efficient

power transfer. | Even at 1095 grams, the 202 is stiff

enough to respond instantly when the attacks come. Its

32mm-deep, fully toroidal rim profile with ABLC™ dimples

can match the aero performance of heavier, less nimble

V-shaped rims up to 50mm-deep. Stock 202s have even

finished twice in the top four at Paris-Roubaix. | Like all

great climbers, the 202 knows that the race to the summit

starts long before the climb itself.

In April 2010, Fabian Cancellara rode to a dominant

victory at Paris-Roubaix and Thor Hushovd finished

second. When the Tour de France covered the same

cobbled roads in July, Fabian pulled the front group

clear of the chasers and Thor sprinted to the stage

win. On both occasions, they chose the Zipp® 303

– the first and only carbon wheelset to win on the

cobblestones. | In lab testing, the 303’s wide, toroidal

rim will withstand the equivalent of a 300-lb rider

racing Paris-Roubaix 30 times. But it also provides

an aero advantage that helped Fabian ride solo for

40 windy miles to win both the Tour of Flanders and

Paris-Roubaix. Still, the 303 is light enough to have

won a Tour de France mountain stage with Heinrich

Haussler and stable enough for smaller riders like ITU

star Emma Snowsill. The 303 accelerates crisply and

handles responsively, making it ideal for cyclocrossers

like US national champions Tim Johnson and Katie

Compton. | No wheel does as much as well as the 303.

Since its introduction nearly 20 years ago, the 58mm

rim profile has benefited from each major Zipp®

innovation. Bulged toroidal rim profiles made the 404

more aero by matching rim width to tire width. VCLC™

added comfort with a vibration-absorbing material

between layers of carbon. ABLC™ dimples increased

performance in a wider range of wind angles. Carbon

Bridge™ improved durability by dispersing impact

more evenly throughout the carbon laminate. | But no

previous technological leap forward comes close to

Firecrest™ (see page 6). With this breakthrough rim

shape, 404 is more aerodynamic, more durable, more

comfortable, and more stable than ever before. Even

though it saves 9 seconds over 40km, Firecrest hasn’t

added a gram to the 404 Tubular. | From the Queen K

to l’Alpe d’Huez, the 404 has won it all. Now, our most

versatile wheelset is an even greater threat to win any

race on any terrain. And for the first time, the 404 is

available with the light weight and convenience of a

carbon clincher.

Pro triathletes like Virginia Berasategui and Chris

McCormack build their seasons around a few crucial

events where aerodynamics are everything. Pro cyclists

like Jens Voigt and Theo Bos log scores of race days

every year with huge variations in weather, terrain, and

tactics. | No matter what approach you take, the Zipp®

808 provides top-shelf aerodynamics, efficient power

transfer, and a surprising ability to handle climbs and

crosswinds. | And with the new Firecrest™ rim shape in

the Tubular and Carbon Clincher versions, the 808 has

improved in almost every metric. Now 15 seconds faster

over 40km, the 808 Tubular’s aero performance equals

or exceeds that of any 90mm-deep rim on the market

as well as many discs. And with an 81mm profile and

Firecrest’s unparalleled crosswind stability, the 808 is

a better choice than ever for windy and non-disc-legal

courses like Kona. Those effects – along with a quick,

responsive ride quality – also make the 808 ideal for

field sprints, breakaways, and all-around road racing.

Shallower wheels like the 202 and 303 have proven

that optimizing the shape of the rim can yield greater

aerodynamic gains than simply increasing its depth. But

what happens when you combine a sophisticated rim

shape with an ultra-deep 108mm profile? You get the

phenomenal aero performance of the Zipp® 1080. | When

aerodynamics matter above all else, athletes like 70.3 star

Terenzo Bozzone and world time trial champion Fabian

Cancellara pair the 1080 front wheel with a Sub-9 or

Super-9 disc. But if you need the versatility of a spoked

wheel in back, the rear 1080 is actually more aero than

many discs. And, thanks to its toroidal profile and ABLC™

dimples, the 1080 is so stable in crosswinds that smaller

riders like Linsey Corbin and Carlos Sastre can ride it with

confidence. At 793g for the front tubular and 906g for

the rear, the 1080 is light and quick enough that even hilly

and technical courses will succumb to its all-out

aero assault.

For time trialists, triathletes, and track racers, the

venerable 900 disc still has a lot to offer. At 936g, the

tubular version remains the lightest disc in our lineup.

Its aero performance and stiff, responsive ride quality

have helped Zipp® athletes win dozens of world and

Ironman® championships, Olympic medals, and Grand

Tour stages. | The 900 Clincher provides more than

convenient tire changes and the stopping performance

of aluminum braking surfaces. With an aerodynamic

toroidal bulge similar to the Sub-9, the 900 Clincher is

both comfortable and extremely fast. In 2009, Jordan

Rapp rode the 900 Clincher to the fastest-ever bike

split at Ironman® Arizona, and then was still fresh

enough to increase his lead during the run and set an

overall course record.

SUB-9

Our engineers always obsess over minimizing drag. But in

testing a prototype disc with an aero shape similar to our

bulged toroidal rims, we found ourselves seeking a new

goal: maximizing propulsion. In the most common range

of wind angles you’ll face on the road, the Sub-9 can

actually generate forward lift when paired with the 21mm

Zipp® Tangente tire. It was the first wheel to achieve this

feat of aerodynamic alchemy and has since been matched

only by our own Super-9. | The Sub-9’s distinctive profile

controls airflow at the wheel’s leading and trailing edges,

and provides a smoother, more comfortable ride than any

flat-sided disc. For long-course triathletes, that means

fresher legs at T2 and faster runs. At the 2010 Challenge

Roth, the Sub-9 helped Rasmus Henning set the fifth-

fastest iron-distance time ever recorded. | Of course,

aero isn’t about distance. The Sub-9 has also conquered

shorter events, including multiple Ironman® 70.3 world

championships and Stage 1 of the 2009 Tour de France®.

It’s just that fast.

SUPER-9

The Super-9 disc borrows from the perimeter shape

that makes the Sub-9 so fast it can actually generate

forward lift. But in place of the Sub-9’s toroidal bulge,

the Super-9 stays flat from its widest point all the way

to the hub. As a result, the Super-9 is much stiffer

and more responsive than the Sub-9, but just as

aerodynamic. | In practical terms, this makes the Super-9

ideal for time trials, track events, and other races won

on full-throttle power. Not surprisingly, it’s become a

favorite of Team Saxo Bank and Fabian Cancellara. Along

with the prologue and final TT of the 2010 Tour, Fabian’s

results on the Super-9 include winning the 2009 world

championships by nearly 2 seconds per kilometer. | And

though we generally recommend the more compliant

Sub-9 for long-course triathlons, Marino Vanhoenacker

did ride a 4:18:30 bike split with the Super-9 at Ironman®

Austria on his way to the fourth-fastest Iron-distance

performance of all time. Maybe the world’s fastest wheel

is more versatile than we think.

Optional valve extensions for Zipp tubes shift the valve core to the end of the extension.

Extensions are sized and labeled for specific Zipp rim depths. Each pack includes three

extensions and two installation wrenches. Single extensions are also available.

TANGENTE TIRESYour tires reach the highest airspeeds of any part of your bike. But when it comes to

aerodynamics, the shape that helps a tire roll smoothly and handle reliably is less than ideal.

So athletes like Chris McCormack turn to the wind-tunnel-developed Zipp® Tangente. | Just

as they do on Zipp rims, ABLC™ dimples on the Tangente tire produce smoother airflow

around the wheel as a whole. As a result, the 21mm Tangente tubular can save up to 9 seconds

over 40km compared to a traditional file tread pattern. | Aerodynamics aside, the 290tpi

casing and durable rubber compound that we co-developed with Vittoria® give the Tangente

a supple ride quality with low rolling resistance and high cornering grip in all conditions.

Balanced wheels ride better. That’s why we created Zipp tubes with an exclusive aluminum

valve and extension system that can reduce imbalance by up to 11 grams. With light carbon

rims at high speeds, that’s a noticeable improvement in ride quality. Supple without being

flat-prone, our .5mm-thick latex tubes weigh 64g each. For 19-25mm tires. Standard valve

length fits Zipp 101.

ZIPP TUBES

VALVE EXTENSIONS

Our new aero skewers reduce drag by about the same amount as taking 2 spokes out of

your front wheel. At 84g per pair with stainless steel shafts – included with all Zipp wheels

– or 62g with titanium, they’re lighter than ever but just as secure. Details include hollowed-

out levers to reduce weight, durable brass washers, and an aero-profile nut on the ti version.

Every Zipp® hub is manufactured locally in Indiana and

reflects our unwavering commitment to performance.

For rolling efficiency, our standard Swiss steel bearings

are smoother than many ceramic “upgrades,” and

the silicon nitride ceramic bearings included with

every ZEDTECH® build are the most precise available

in the industry. For lightweight, durable hub shells,

we partnered with the world’s leading aluminum

supplier to develop a proprietary alloy with nearly

twice the strength-to-weight ratio of typically used

6061 aluminum. For reliable engagement, Zipp hub

internals are produced using an electrical discharge

machining technique that can cut 50% harder materials

at tolerances 20 times greater than traditional machining

and heat-treating. | We’ve gone to these lengths because

we see the quality and precision of our hubs as the

foundation on which we build the world’s fastest wheels.

A FASTER FOUNDATION

HUBS

Satisfying elite track competitors is always a major challenge.

So we’ve designed Zipp track hubs with stout 60mm spoke hole

diameter flanges, solid 15mm stainless steel axles, and without the

seals that are unnecessary on the velodrome. Using our proprietary

Z310.9 alloy and Spoke Hole Impact Forming Technology (SHIFT),

our track hubs can handle any spoke tension with virtually no risk of

cracking. They’re also massively stiff and virtually friction-free.

88-188 ROAD HUBSWhen it comes to hubs, no one sweats the details like we do. In

the 88 front and 188 rear road hubs, the spoke holes are drilled at

varying angles corresponding to different rim depths. This reduces

strain on each spoke and strengthens the wheel as a whole. The

17mm axles are almost five times stiffer than the traditional 10mm

but create no additional aero drag, thanks to the KammNuts used

to set the adjustable bearing preload. In dry conditions, removing

the watertight contact seals can reduce friction by about 1 watt.

Named for their weights in grams, the 88 and 188 are built into

every Zipp road and cyclocross wheelset.

POWERTAP®

Measuring and analyzing power data teaches you

precisely what effort you can sustain and for how long.

Once you know exactly where your limits are, you can

train harder and race smarter. That’s why so many Zipp®

discs and spoked wheels are available with the option of

a PowerTap® rear hub. The light, reliable, accurate system

is easy to set up and switch between bikes. | At the 2010

Ironman® Coeur D’Alene, Linsey Corbin used a Zipp 900

disc with PowerTap® to set the fastest bike split of the

day and a new course record. Throughout the season,

the engineering-focused Cervélo TestTeam uses the full

range of Zipp wheels with PowerTap® systems to track

and improve performance. | The more you measure, the

more you know. Zipp and PowerTap® help you put that

knowledge to use every time you ride.

prepared by CyclocrossWorld. | Using advanced

materials and the strictest precision controls, Service

Course components bring classic designs to new levels of

comfort, reliability, performance, and fit – for every rider.

THE START OF A NEW TRADITION

40

NO COMPROMISES We’ve pared the Service Course SL and Service Course aluminum bars down to

the essentials: comfortable hand positioning and reliable performance worthy

of the pro peloton. | Both bars feature a classic look with round cross-sections

throughout and are available in the same Short & Shallow or Traditional Bend

shapes as our carbon bars. | The drops are angled outward by 2° to reduce

wrist strain. Service Course bars are produced from high-strength 7000 Series

FIT FOR COMPETITIONAvailable in fourteen sizes to fit all riders, the Service Course

SL and Service Course stems are light, stiff, and tough. High-

strength 3D-forged construction and 7000-series aluminum

deliver an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio while allowing for

smooth lines to complement the aesthetics of modern frames.

During production, we take extra steps to ensure precise length

and alignment.

Service Course

Service Course SL

The Service Course and Service Course SL stems are available in ±6° and ±17° angles and 70, 80, 90, 100, 110, 120, 130mm lengths.

ELEGANCE AND ADJUSTABILITY The Service Course SL and Service Course seatposts prioritize

adjustability without losing track of weight, strength, or looks.

In response to feedback from professional fitters, Zipp®

engineers created a unique low-profile clamp that allows the

saddle to slide farther back along the rails. This 20mm-setback

design also allows micro-adjustment with easily accessible

downward-facing bolts.

Service Course Service Course SL

The Service Course SL seatpost is available in 275mm and 350mm lengths, and 27.2 and 31.6mm diameters.

Bike fitting is in the midst of a revolution. New technologies

are exploring the relationships of body positioning,

aerodynamics, and power output. The message is clear:

better fit means better performance. | By analyzing data

from the world’s most advanced fit systems, Zipp® has

designed our aero bars, drop bars, and stems to help

cyclists and triathletes unlock new levels of both speed and

comfort on the bike. | In addition to intricate composite

layups, premium materials, and superior aerodynamics, our

unwavering commitment to technology and performance

has been applied to the science of fit. With Zipp cockpit

components, you’ll be comfortable with your results.

MORE SIZES. MORE OPTIONS. MORE COMFORT. MORE SPEED.

GRAB AND GO.No one makes a broader range of elite-level wheels than Zipp®. So,

naturally, we’ve done the same thing with carbon drop bars. Each

of our four models has been engineered for high performance and

provides a distinctive feel to suit every riding style and fit every rider.

SLC2Although it weighs only 190g, the SLC2 is ideal for the most powerful

riders in the field. Sprinters, cyclocrossers like US national champ

Katie Compton, and even triathletes looking for clip-on compatibility

will find their match with the otherworldly strength-to-weight ratio of

Zipp’s toughest carbon bar.

CONTOUR SLDesigned for all-day performance and comfort, the Contour SL

provides advanced ergonomic designs like a flattened airfoil top

section and ovalized drops that fit the natural shape of your hands.

Like the SLC2, the Contour SL packs all its features into just 190 grams.

SLDespite an astonishingly low weight of 170g, the SL cuts no

corners. It’s available in a full range of proven shapes and sizes.

It has a decidedly solid feel on the road. And it’s the lightest bar

to have passed the toughest strength and fatigue standards of

the independent EFBe test lab.

VUKASPRINTThe new VukaSprint features a drop bar-specific version of the

VukaBull’s aero top section. In the most common range of bar angles,

the VukaSprint can save up to 3 watts compared to a traditional

round bar. The sculpted profile with internal cable routing also

provides comfortable hand positioning and gives the 210g bar a stiff,

responsive road feel.

The Zipp SL, SLC2, and Contour SL are available in the Short and Shallow and Traditional Bend drop shapes, in sizes 40, 42, 44, 46cm (measured outside to outside). The VukaSprint is available in both drop shapes and sizes 42, and 44cm (measured outside to outside).

ROCK-SOLID. FEATHER-LIGHT.We’ve designed the SLSPEED and SL145 full-carbon

stems to complement the distinctive aesthetics and

precise fit of our bars. And as with all Zipp® products,

every detail has been engineered to optimize

performance, strength, and durability.

SLSPEEDFashioned from a mere 102 grams of unidirectional

carbon and titanium hardware, the SLSpeed proves that

a superlight stem doesn’t have to make compromises.

Details like rearward-facing bolts threading into the ti

faceplate and a single self-aligning bolt at the steerer

clamp save weight without sacrificing stiffness and

reliability.

The SLSpeed stem has a ±6° angle 31.8 bar clamp diameter, and is available in sizes 80, 90, 100, 110, 120, 130. Quoted weights are for 100mm length.

SL145One look at the stout body of the SL145 makes it clear

that our engineers designed it to be the stiffest, strongest

carbon stem available – as confirmed by the independent

EFBe test lab in Germany. The latest updates include

a unidirectional carbon finish and 10 grams of weight

reduction. Now at just 135g, the SL145 features titanium

bolts and an anodized aluminum faceplate.

The SL145 stem has a ±12° angle 31.8 bar clamp diameter, and is available in sizes 80, 90, 100, 110, 120, 130. Quoted weights are for 100mm length.

50

VUKACLIPNo clip-on aero bar offers greater positioning flexibility or a sleeker

profile than the VukaClip. The compression sleeve system allows 4

axes of adjustment to the extensions without any exposed bolts,

clamps, or cables. The aluminum body is shot-peened for strength,

specially anodized to prevent sweat corrosion, and allows 42 possible

combinations of pad positions. The 390g VukaClip is sold without

extensions; straight, chicane, ski-tip, and VukaShift extensions are

available separately.

VUKAR2C™No matter what gear you’re in, the VukaR2C saves time and energy

by letting you shift without disrupting your aero position. After

each flick of your wrist, the Return to Center™ lever springs back

to its adjustable “home” position. The distinctive aerodynamic

profile itself can save 6 seconds over 40km compared to a standard

bar-end shifter. Proven at Kona and in the Tour, the VukaR2C is the

fastest, most ergonomic shifter in the world. Available for SRAM®

or Shimano®; compatible with VukaShift or standard extensions.

180g per pair.

VUKASHIFT EXTENSIONSWith the comfort of our chicane shape, VukaShift extensions allow

you to bolt your shift levers directly to the extensions. This moves the

shifters as much as 30mm closer to your hands for improved control

and aerodynamics while you drop into the 11. VukaShift extensions

also save up to 80 grams per pair and allow internal cable routing

by eliminating the shifters’ plug-in expansion bolts. Available for

VukaR2C, SRAM, or Shimano® shifters. 120g per pair.

VUKA EXTENSIONSComfort and performance go hand-in-hand. So, instead of forcing

riders onto a default extension shape, we offer three different Vuka

Extensions for the VukaAero and VukaClip. Chicanes are our most

popular, but straight extensions can help elite riders get as low as

humanly possible while ski-tips provide a more upright position.

All three allow internal cable routing and can be shortened by

almost 100mm from their standard 335mm length. 100g per pair.

Chicane Ski-tip Straight

VUKABULLThanks to feedback from leading fitters, the completely redesigned

VukaBull full-carbon base bar is now available with zero or 40mm

drop. We’ve also widened the clamp area to provide an extra 20mm

of adjustment for clip-on bars and angled the grips up by 5° for

better ergonomics when climbing and sprinting. But even as it

meets more fit needs, the latest VukaBull is faster than ever. The

new wing profile reduces drag, stiffens the bar, and complies with

the UCI 3:1 rule. Internal brake cable routing completes the package.

VUKAAERO POSITIONED FOR SPEED Unlocking truly fast times is impossible without a bike

setup that balances aerodynamics, power output, and

comfort. Just ask Jordan Rapp, who’s renowned among

pro triathletes for his scientific approach to training,

eqiuipment, and positioning. | The VukaAero is the only

integrated aerobar with Zipp’s® patented compression

sleeve system that allows four axes of adjustment to the

extensions: fore/aft, vertical, rotational, and angular. Each

extension is secured with a single, rearward-facing bolt

that doubles as the exit point for internal cable routing.

Like the VukaClip, the VukaAero allows 42 pad positions

at 3 different heights. The hand grips with integrated

full-carbon brake levers have been designed to mimic

the position, shape, and texture of standard brake hoods.

Even at 860g, the VukaAero easily passes the same

European strength and durability standards required for

drop bars. | The VukaAero will help you find that elusive

perfect position while keeping its own drag and weight

to a minimum. Because fit and performance are really

one and the same.

Available in 42cm (measured outside to outside) with your choice of Chicane, Straight, Ski-tip, or VukaShift extensions. VukaR2C sold separately.

54

Even the most detail-driven triathletes and time

trialists can overlook their crankset as a potential aero

upgrade. But compared to the usual squared-off arms

and machined edges, the VumaChrono can save more

than 25 seconds over 40km. That’s almost as much as

switching from a pair of 303s to 1080s. Compared to any

other aero crank, the VumaChrono is at least 9 seconds

faster. | With its monocoque dome, 58mm-wide arms,

and 30mm aluminum spindle, the VumaChrono is by far

the stiffest crankset we’ve ever evaluated. It’s also the

only one designed to give riders the option of a single or

double chainring setup. Still, the complete system weighs

just 860g (172.5mm, 53/39), including the ceramic

bearing bottom bracket. | Not surprisingly, the aero, stiff,

light, and configurable VumaChrono is quickly becoming

a popular choice among our pro athletes like multiple

Ironman® winner Michael Lovato – not to mention some

big names that we don’t sponsor.

VUMACHRONOFLYING BELOW THE RADAR

CRANKS

Available in six lengths from 167.5-180mm with 53/39, 54/42,

or 55/42 chainrings. Compatible with English, Italian, and BB30

bottom bracket standards.

56

The die-cast aluminum Zipp Speed Twist CO2 inflator is roughly half the size of a standard “mini” inflator, but it’s full-featured and disc-compatible. Users can control the rate of inflation and save partially spent cartridges. Kit includes inflator head, two recyclable 16g cartridges, and a cold-proof, noise-reducing cover.

ACCESSORIES

The full extent of our engineering expertise is applied to

every product that carries the Zipp® name, from Carbon

Clinchers to the tiny wrenches included with the new

valve extensions for Zipp tubes. The wrenches ensure

a perfect seal at the original valve stem, which lets the

valve core move out to the end of the extension. | When

it comes to design and manufacturing to meet the most

exacting standards, that’s just one example of the many

you’ll find at zipp.com/accessories.

LITTLE THINGS MEAN A LOT.

AERODYNAMICS CALCULATION METHODOLOGY:

Time and watt savings over 40km are calculated using

a top-selling aluminum race wheel as the baseline and

assuming a power output of 300 watts and a speed of

30mph (48kph). If you’re going slower, the time savings

are greater, as you’ll be riding for a longer time. | Aero

savings reflect rider-on-bike testing, not wheels-only

testing. All numbers are calculated at a 10° wind angle

to approximate the most common real-world riding

conditions. Tests are conducted using 21mm Vittoria tires;

Zipp Tangente tires can save an additional 3-9 seconds,

or 1-3 watts. | Visit zipp.com for the latest products and

technical specifications.
