On June 30th, at
10:00 a.m., we will
be honoring God
and country through
music, comple-
mented by a brass
quartet. We will
journey from the heartland with "Anthem of
Heritage", all the way to Ellis Island with
"Give Me Your Tired, Your Poor".
Join us in our celebration by singing some of
your favorite patriotic hymns that tie the whole
service together. We'll see you June 30th!

PW Honorary Life Membership
Award Winner
The PW Team is very pleased to announce
that the recipient of this year's PW Honorary
Life Membership Award is Karen Clark.
This award must be earned by at least five
ears of service to PW in numerous capaci-
ties. Karen has served both PW and this
church for many years with good humor, a
calm demeanor, and love. We are very
proud to add her name to the list of distin-
guished ladies who have given a great deal
of their time and effort to help make both
PW and FPC Conroe what they are to-
day. Many congratulations, Karen!

Mission Ministry News
Jean Ball, FPC Mission Co-
ordinator for Family Prom-
ise, has received recognition
on behalf of FPC for pro-
viding 18 years of shelter,
meals, transportation and
independence-training as-
sistance to Family Promise
clients (most of whom are
homeless). FPC is one of
the five churches in the
Conroe-Woodlands area
that has remained as a part-
ner with Family Promise since its inception.
Another FPC member, Marilyn Kasmiersky,
has been appointed as the new Executive Di-
rector of Family Promise of Montgomery
County. Additionally, our Dr. Ken Davis, for-
mer Family Promise board member, served as
Master of Ceremonies at the successful An-
nual Family Promise Luncheon on April 23rd.
Way to go, FPC!

Youth Auction
A BIG thank you to our amazing church family!
The youth held their annual BBQ dinner and
Youth Auction on April 28th and it was a huge
success! There was food, fun and fellowship –
all the things that make us who we are. The
youth raised over $10,000.00 to help keep our
mission trips affordable!
These trips are vitally important not only to the
lives of those we go to help, but to our lives as
well. Jesus said “For the son of man did not
come into the world to be served, but to
serve”. (Mark 10:45) Because of the incredible
generosity of FPC Conroe, the youth are able to
bring the light of Christ into a dark and broken
world. Words cannot express our gratitude and
love for God’s amazing church! Thank you all
so very much!

Romance is Alive and Well at FPC
On Monday, May 22nd, Mission Sewing welcomed a sur-
prise visitor to their group. As they busied themselves
with their daily tasks, Mr. Bill Harrison showed up with a
gorgeous bouquet of roses for his wife, Fay, to ring in the
celebration of their 49th wedding anniversary. Congrats to
you both!

Welcome Our New Christian Education Director,
Dena Williams
“Hey, I know her.” Yes, you do. We are happy to announce the newest
member of the FPC Staff, Dena Williams.
Dena grew up in Conroe and attended Conroe High, class of 1990. She
and her fiancé, Mark Sowden, are active members of FPC and have been
Youth Leaders since 2016. She attended Blinn College where she studied
Criminal Justice and Psychology. In August 1993, she graduated the po-
lice academy and began a career in law enforcement. She became a
SWAT team member at the Central East Texas Narcotics Task Force and
earned an Intermediate Peace Officer Certificate with over 800 classroom
hours in Law Enforcement studies. Before starting her family in 2001,
Dena began a career in banking and finance where she was a branch man-
ager for Klein/Amegy Bank for 3 years and then Production Manager for
Infinity Funding Mortgage, LLC who
merged with Crystal Clear Mortgage. Dena’s vast experience
in law enforcement lead to her position as Chair of the FPC
Emergency Response Team and her leadership and manage-
ment will be instrumental in helping FPC Conroe develop and
maintain the Christian Education Ministry. She loves volun-
