Father’s Day Lei Handy Craft

Use your hands to create this fun gift for the fathers in your life with their favorite fun

size candy bars.

Materials Needed:

• 5-6 pieces of construction paper

• 3 straws

• 2 ½ feet of ¼” Craft Ribbon

• Stapler

• Hole Punch

• Pencil

• Scissors

• 6 Fun Size Candy Bars

Time to Create!

Step 1: Trace 15 hands and cut them out.

Step 3: Punch a hole in the center of the palms of each of the 15 hands.

Step 2: Using the pencil, curl the fingertips down toward the palms.

Step 4: Punch a hole on each end of the six candy bar wrappers.

Step 5: Overlap two of the hands to create flower petals. Make sure that the

holes line up. Then staple them together. (See picture below on the left)

Step 6: Lay one more hand over the two that are

stapled together. Make sure that the holes line up, then

staple together to complete the flower. (See picture to

the right)

Step 7: Repeat Steps 5 & 6 four more times to create a total of five flowers.

Step 8: Cut the straws into 6 pieces that are each two inches

long.

Step 9: Push one piece of straw through the hole in each of the five

flowers leaving an inch showing on each side of the flower.

Step 10: Thread the ribbon through the holes of the first candy bar.

Step 11: Thread the ribbon through the straw of the first flower.

Step 12: Continue to thread the ribbon, alternating candy bars and flowers. Tie the two ends

of the ribbon together to complete the lei.
