Hood Pin & Collar w/ spring

Installation Instructions:

1. Loosen the stock jamb nut and remove the stock hood pin.

Please note that on some applications, it may be necessary

to remove the entire latch assembly in order to access the

jamb nut.

2. Insert the new stainless steel pin into the provided spring cup.

The hood pin will be recessed in this spring cup.

3. Install the hood pin to the latch assembly. Depending on your

application, it may be necessary for you to re-install the latch

assembly at this point.

4. Next adjust the length of the hood pin to properly secure your

hood when in the locked or down position. This is

accomplished by tightening or loosening the pin to achieve

the proper length.

4. After hood latch pin length is adjusted it may be necessary to

remove the entire hood latch assembly to tighten the jamb nut

(securing the hood pin) on the back side of the latch

assembly. This will lock the pin in place at the prescribed

length.

5. Re-install the latch assembly (if necessary) according to step

#3.
