The versatile, new FDC3 Flex Duct Tool from Malco is actually three toolsin one! The finely honed double-edged knife blade cleanly piercesthrough the outer skin, insulation and liner construction of flexible roundduct and cuts in either direction. A thumb-operated latch opens the tool’scompound-leverage handles and the jaws of a built-in wire cutter to easily sever the exposed wire rib coil of duct liner. Use the tool’s tie-tensioning mechanism to install a nylon tie strap and secure the flexduct take-off collar. With the handles of the FDC3 in the open position, anylon tie can be threaded through the mechanism and then tightened bygently pumping the tool’s handles. Use the wire cutter to trim excess tiestrap tail. Trimming and installing flexible round duct is now as easy asone-two-three with Malco’s new FDC3 multi-purpose Flex Duct Tool.

The DS3 locks on from either sideof duct connection. No need to adjustwheels! Simply place wheel located on moveable cam to one side of adjoining duct flanges. Turn handle downward to pull duct sectionstogether and lock in place. Greater wheel clearance makes capturing the ends of duct sections, even misshapen flanges, easier than ever. 1/4” (6.4 mm) bearings allow bearing holes to be made in round duct with theuse of a scratch awl. Squeeze pipe so that it is oval shaped. Insert damper into pre-punched bearing hole(s). Pipe will spring back to round when released.Secure with wing nut(s) provided. Damper may be adjusted with screwdriveror optional damper handle. Available with or without handles. See below.
