Clark County FD6 ESO User Manual

(Mobile Version) Revised 7/18/18

1) Opening ESO

You can also use the P1 button on the right side of the tablet case. Press and hold the P1

button until ESO Mobile launches.

Page 2: FD6 ESO Manual

This is your login screen. Enter your user name (P or V number) and password. If this is the first time logging in during rig check do not select “Let’s Go” without first updating ESO. Only the password is case sensitive, the user name is not.

2) Start of shift

This is the start of shift procedure. This will ensure any changes to ESO, system and administration messages, and recent patient information is synced to the tablet - should take less than 15 seconds

Page 4: FD6 ESO Manual

You can now select “Let’s Go” to complete your login.

Page 5: FD6 ESO Manual

Once you have logged in, you will see this screen. This is your ‘landing page’, or ‘dashboard’, or ‘home page’, all three terms mean the same thing. You will need to “Set Shift” to enable all defaults for the shift.

Page 7: FD6 ESO Manual

This is what the ready screen should look like once complete. You will notice on the bottom right under “Status Center”, that there are no records listed. At the start of the shift, any records left on the tablet should be synched off the tablet. Any records that are on the tablet during the shift should only be synched once you ensure that any LifePak data has been uploaded and imported to the applicable EHR. You should also check the ‘Agency Alerts’ field to check on any new messages.

3) Call

From the ready screen, click “Import From CAD” and select your call. If you set the shift it should default to only show your applicable units calls and calls that haven’t already been imported to the cloud database. If your call is not listed, select Make New Record. You will need to update CAD data later.

Page 9: FD6 ESO Manual

You have the option to “Add Non-Crew” members, such as VFD, AMR (or applicable transport agency) to each call where that Non-Crew member took the vitals, performed a procedure, gave a medication etc.

Page 10: FD6 ESO Manual

Last name “AMR” may be enough if you can identify who performed the task. NOTE: Never attempt to lock the record with AMR or any non-CCFD6 member as the “Lead”.

4) Monitor Import

At the end of any call where our monitor is used to take vitals, 4-lead and/or 12-lead ECG, you will need to press transmit and enter before shutting down the monitor. If the transmission is successful you can then select “Monitor Import” at any time BEFORE syncing records from the tablet to the cloud for completion.

Success. All vital signs and monitor data will be integrated into the vitals field. Any heart symbol that is colored RED indicates that monitor data is included. The number inside the heart indicates what type of data it is, i.e.; 3-lead or 12-lead. NOTE: SpO2 does not import a heart rate, only the SpO2 reading. HR’s are only imported via an EKG reading. Respiratory rate will be integrated if an ETCO2 is used. MAP numbers are integrated with the NIBP.

Page 15: FD6 ESO Manual

In the records field, if you click on the heart symbol, it will open the cardiac monitor files that have been downloaded. NOTE: Not all the data is integrated into the vitals field. For example, PCO files are stand-alone files. Once the download field is open, you can then open the files to view them.

This is the cardiac monitor file listing. The “hamburger” menu button to the right will allow you to view or download the file.

5) Transfer to AMR (To Come/Not Yet Ready)

At any stage in the call you can select the bi-directional arrows up top.

You will need to select “AMR” and give them the 4-digit number displayed

6) Sync Records This needs to be done at the end of a call(s) when you need to resume your chart at a work station. This will remove it from the tablet and send it to the cloud. ***NOTE: If our monitor was used, you must perform the monitor import step prior to syncing records to avoid having to plug in the monitor to the work station and go through the old process.

This red heart is the indicator that a 4 lead/12 Lead or PCO file was imported for this call.

If multiple calls are being synced your screen will look like this.

To connect to a tablet, or to check which tablet you are connected to via Bluetooth, highlight the Bluetooth channel and select it. If you are connected, you will know by the circle being illuminated BLUE. If it is not illuminated, it is not connected.

After you open the Bluetooth channel, you will see the box above. Connect is the default box selected, push to enter that screen.

Page 30: FD6 ESO Manual

Make sure ‘Find Devices’ is highlighted and select. You will see a blank screen that will soon populate with paired devices that in in Bluetooth range. Once you see your device, push the wheel button to stop the search. You will be taken back to the previous screen. Scroll down to your device and select it. You should now be connected.

Page 31: FD6 ESO Manual

The LifePak now indicates which tablet it is connected to, and the Bluetooth channel indicator is illuminated. NOTE: Please make sure that the ‘Search Filter’ is set to OFF. If you are not able to see your device when searching, this is probably the reason. If it has been moved to the ON selection, please change it back to OFF.
