WHW Well Done and Thankyou

TO OUR CRAFT & CHOIR MEMBERSWOMEN’S Healthworks Craft group invited the general public to an open morning on Wednesday 11th September at the Masonic Care Retirement Village and raised over $350.00 for WHW.

The craft ladies had a wonderful selection of friendship bras, eye and heat bags, survival kits! Dammit dolls, wonderful baby clothes, scarves and all sorts of interesting goods. WHW would like to thank Rita and all the craft ladies who put an enormous effort into the morning.

We would also like to thank the choir members from Merriwa and Joondalup who provided wonderful entertainment! Thank you Margaret!

WHW Choirs are in demand and are doing a number of performances, including the Citizenship ceremonies for the City of Wanneroo and have already a number of bookings for Christmas!.

POSITIVE BODY IMAGE AWARDS 2013

WHITFORD CITY WALKERSWOMEN’S Healthworks would like to say THANK YOU to the ladies from the Whitford City walking group for a donation they made of $360.00 to the well deserved Royal Flying Doctor Service.

The money was raised by the ladies very kindly sacrificing their Xmas in July gifts to each other and donating the money. What a fabulous idea!

A letter of thanks was received by the Whitford Walkers from the Royal Flying Doctor Service

On a fine sunny morning there was a good number of keen walkers for this event. Lots of familiar faces from the regular Tuesday Joondalup walking group as well as some new faces, which was particularly pleasing.

A good pace was set and everyone arrived in good spirits at Botanic Golf for a welcome morning tea.

This was served very efficiently by the staff at Botanic Golf and the group mixed well for a chat and lots of laughter.

The return walk was equally pleasant and, despite looming dark clouds luckily the rain held off.

The total length of the walk was 7.65 Km and hopefully a pleasant morning was had by all. Well done all !

Stepping It Out Spring Walk to the BotanicGolf on 24 September – Oh what a lovely day
