which you feel very strong.Standards to guide your actions,
judgments and attitudes.Influence all aspects of your life,
including your relationships, decisions, and goals.
The ideals and principles that are important to a person.
ValuesIf you remain in touch with your values, you will achieve your goals.
Values are things that are important to you,
Wants are things you desire.Values are personal. Respect others’ value system.
Where do you get your values?Values come from our homes, school,
society, friends, TV, church, music, books, families, culture, etc.
Different people and things influence you at different ages:Ages 1-7: ParentsAges 8-13: Teachers, HeroesAges 14-20: PeersAges 21+: Your values are established, but
you may test your values from time to time.

Goal vs. DreamWhat is the difference?Goal- the specific achievements or objectives that a person wants to reach
Dream- a fond hope; to have a dream or remote idea
What turns a dream into a goal?A plan
Goals There are two different types of goals:Short term goalsLong term goals
Short Term GoalsNear future – 12 months or less
Easier to attainMore realisticCan be steps to long term goals
