Following are this week’s FIDS updates: Happy 100th Day of School. We are all 100 days older and wiser!

Ms. Struzziero Attended Workshop at Teacher’s College, Columbia University. We are pleased to announce that Ms. Alexandra Struzziero attended a workshop at Teacher’s College, Columbia University in New York City on reading and writing this past week. This workshop was paid for by a grant obtained by our Development Department. She has returned with many ideas for her classroom and the teachers of our school.

Gong Xi Fa Cai! Happy Chinese New Year! Thanks to the entire Fisher Island Day School community for making this year’s Chinese New Year celebration—the Year of the Monkey—memorable. As is the norm, our students did a phenomenal job. Thanks to:

Ms. Lee for her instruction and direction;

Ms. Veronica Fazzio for her creative direction;

Our entire faculty and staff for their assistance and organization;

Our parents for hair, make-up, and costumes;

Chef Richard for his scrumptious Chinese luncheon;

Our supportive and appreciative audience; and
