CENTRAL CALIFORNIA COAST CHAPTER 174

TRANSCRIPT

  • A woman is

like a teabag. Its only when

shes in hot water that you

    realize how strong she is.

Nancy Reagan Message From Your President

I really enjoyed Heather Gray and Donna Randolphs talks about starting their own businesses. Both had good advice on how to be prepared and how to create a support system when needed. Lisa is moving right along with the membership contest. Even if we dont get everything completed for the contest, we can use this as a tool to get out there and bring in new members. I dont think I saw anyone from a painting contractor. Ladies, lets see if we can start contacting ladies who work in that industry and get them to attend a meeting or two. I loved the way both Heather and Lisa pointed out how valuable their membership has been to them. Wendi shared some good information to relay on WIC Week. The event planned for San Luis Obispo is included in this newsletter. For Santa Maria coverage, our chapter has a sponsorship for the Women of Excellence Banquet held by the Santa Maria Womens Network. Our sponsorship will get us mentioned in the Program, our name on a sign at the door and we will be inserting brochures in 150 gift boxes for the attendees. Good job, Wendi, on getting information about NAWIC out to the public during this celebration week! Congratulations to Laurie Evans for winning the Gift Certificate for a 30-minute massage donated by Virginia Hall, Therapeutic Bodyworks & Massage. Shes located here in Santa Maria and if youve been looking for a good masseuse, shes the one to visit! Our speaker for March will be Kim Davis with CASA. Her topic, is Constructing Brighter Futures. Now is our chance to hear what effect our Backpacks for Foster Kids and Christmas Bags for Foster Teens programs have on our local foster children AND is there more we can do? Looking forward to Forum in Hawaii! I am impressed with how many of our members plan to attend. Besides me, Joan Hertel, CIT, Denise Riegel, CIT, Wendi Patterson and Marcia Papich plan on attending. If there are any other members who plan on attending, please let me know. Contact Marcia or me regarding your registration.
