February 2018_____________________________________________________Longview, TX
President's Corner
The Jefferson Quilt Show was a great
success. Our guild donation quilt received 1st place
in its division. Myra Lewis received the Viewer's
Choice ribbon, Donna Hinsley and Donna Reagh
received Honorable Mentions. We had several
members participate by showing their quilts in the
Jefferson Quilt Show. Also, several of our members
volunteered their time to either hang the quilts
before the show, work during the show or help take
down the quilts after the show. WAY TO GO
LADIES!
We also have members in our guild who are
on the Jefferson Quilt Show Board- Janis Mayfield,
Myra Lewis, and Terri McMillon that make
Jefferson Quilt Show such a success. This is
my opinion, but Jefferson Quilt Show is one of the
"Best Quilt Shows in North East Texas". I hope you
had a chance to attend the show.
I would like to thank all the members who
worked on our Raffle Quilt, especially Elaine
Roddy, Jackie Muehlstein, Loretta Ducey, and all
the members that hand quilted at Elaine's house.
Thank you for the many hours and hard work you
put in on this year's quilt.
Thank you, Donna Reagh
