Leap Year This Year
If you ask someone how many days are in
a year, they'll surely tell you 365. And that
would normally be the correct answer, except for every four
years when a leap year happens, and we get Feb. 29. Farmers
Almanac explains that if we didn't occasionally pop in another
24 hours, "our calendar and the seasons would gradually get
out of sync."
BENEFITS OF CBD OIL & ITS MISCONCEPTIONS
On Monday, January 13th, Anna conducted a Watermark University
class "The Benefits of CBD Oil", a new holistic trend. There are many
benefits and several misconceptions about this new and trending
controversial treatment. Some benefits of CBD use is to relieve pain,
inflammation, anxiety, insomnia, nausea and much more. Some
misconceptions are CBD is illegal, makes you high, will result in
failed drug tests, has to be smoked, only for sick people & takes a
long time to work. At the end of the class, everyone received an
information packet as well as a gel sample to take with them. The
feedback was so positive, it's still buzzing around the Mews.

New Years Eve Fun
Residents at the Mews had a rip roaring time at our New Years Eve 2019
event. The energy was flowing throughout the room as they danced the
afternoon away to the Mummers strut and and other crowd favorites. Chuck
Sikora was our MC and did a fabulous job entertaining everyone! We broke
out our Mummers umbrellas that the residents crafted last year which
added just the right finishing touch to the party.
After a mock countdown, they toasted the old year away with some
champagne as the crowd sang Auld Lang Syne.
Happy New Year everyone!
